- The crew of a research vessel are on a quest to find a missing TV explorer in the Amazon.
- Wynonna Judd's pilgrimage to Venice, Italy, for the third episode of Music in High Places premiered December 1, 2000. The series takes entertainers to faraway lands to experience foreign cultures as well as to perform. Judd's episode features the singer in acoustic performances outside Venetian canals, in front of the ancient 13th-century castle in the village of Fontanellato and performing in the cathedral Basilica Di San Patronio, a true feat, considering her performance required prior consent from the Vatican. International singing star Zucchero performs alongside Judd during one segment ("No One Else on Earth").
- An adventurer named Emmet Cole who worked for the show named "The Undiscovered Country", went missing after 22 successful years. Show members persuaded his wife and son to go on the quest to find Emmet who were reluctant at first due to family problems. As Emmett went missing in the Amazon but they picked up his beacon signal and went after after him, they found some strange and supernatural powers influencing the abandoned and unidentified place called Boiuna. Furthermore, they found found out that Emmet is alive since he was speaking through one of the crew members and continued their quest.
