My personal list of the James Bond movies from best to worst. I've seen so many of these I'm not sure why anyone would want to read mine, but I'm bored so here I go.

- DirectorMartin CampbellStarsDaniel CraigEva GreenJudi DenchAfter earning 00 status and a licence to kill, secret agent James Bond sets out on his first mission as 007. Bond must defeat a private banker funding terrorists in a high-stakes game of poker at Casino Royale, Montenegro.I get giddy with excitement every time I see it. Classy, cool, and awesome. Has the right tone for my perfect Bond movie.
- DirectorGuy HamiltonStarsSean ConneryGert FröbeHonor BlackmanWhile investigating a gold magnate's smuggling, James Bond uncovers a plot to contaminate the Fort Knox gold reserve.Nearly the same as above: Classy and cool. The way Bond is supposed to be. Connery is at his best and most comfortable.
- DirectorJohn GlenStarsTimothy DaltonRobert DaviCarey LowellA vengeful James Bond goes rogue to infiltrate and take down the organization of a drug lord who has murdered his friend's new wife and left him near death.A breath of fresh air for the series. Much darker and serious than any Bond before it. Great score and ruthless villain.
- DirectorJohn GlenStarsTimothy DaltonMaryam d'AboJeroen KrabbéJames Bond is sent to investigate a KGB policy to kill all enemy spies, and uncovers an arms deal that potentially has major global ramifications.Big fan of Dalton's interpretation. I enjoy the more serious tone of his films, this one is no exception.
- DirectorMartin CampbellStarsPierce BrosnanSean BeanIzabella ScorupcoYears after a friend and fellow 00 agent is killed on a joint mission, a secret space based weapons program known as "GoldenEye" is stolen. James Bond is assigned to stop a Russian crime syndicate from using the weapon.Pierce Brosnan, in my opinion, is the "coolest" Bond. The pace slows a bit in the second act, but the first and third acts are some of the best of the series.
- DirectorTerence YoungStarsSean ConneryRobert ShawLotte LenyaJames Bond willingly falls into an assassination plot involving a naive Russian beauty in order to retrieve a Soviet encryption device that was stolen by S.P.E.C.T.R.E.The first great Bond film. Set the standard for the rest of the series.
- DirectorMarc ForsterStarsDaniel CraigOlga KurylenkoMathieu AmalricJames Bond descends into mystery as he tries to stop a mysterious organisation from eliminating a country's most valuable resource.Don't quite understand the hate. A little annoying shaky cam, but otherwise Craig is still a great Bond. I enjoyed it very much as a sequel to Casino Royale, which is all it is.
- DirectorTerence YoungStarsSean ConneryUrsula AndressBernard LeeA resourceful British government agent seeks answers in a case involving the disappearance of a colleague and the disruption of the American space program. The Bond film that started it all. A few kinks hinder this one a bit, but it's still a great start.
- DirectorMichael AptedStarsPierce BrosnanSophie MarceauRobert CarlyleJames Bond uncovers a nuclear plot while protecting an oil heiress from her former kidnapper, an international terrorist who can't feel pain.Besides Denise Richards, this one is actually pretty good. Very good villains, bigger role for M, and a nice send off for Q.
- DirectorLewis GilbertStarsRoger MooreBarbara BachCurd JürgensJames Bond investigates the hijacking of British and Russian submarines carrying nuclear warheads, with the help of a K.G.B. agent whose lover he killed. As you can see, I'm not the biggest Moore fan. However, this one is probably the closest to being great than the rest of his films.
- DirectorJohn GlenStarsRoger MooreCarole BouquetTopolSecret service agent James Bond is assigned to find a missing British vessel equipped with a weapons encryption device and prevent it from falling into enemy hands.I appreciate the more serious tone of this Bond film. It's more dangerous and thrilling.
- DirectorRoger SpottiswoodeStarsPierce BrosnanJonathan PryceMichelle YeohJames Bond sets out to stop a media mogul's plan to induce war between China and the UK in order to obtain exclusive global media coverage.Brosnan's second outing is nowhere near as sharp or memorable as his first outing. Still, there's fun to be had in this Bond.
- DirectorGuy HamiltonStarsRoger MooreYaphet KottoJane SeymourJames Bond is sent to stop a diabolically brilliant heroin magnate armed with a complex organisation and a reliable psychic tarot card reader.A good first outing for Moore, great title song, nice action sequences, and some stand out villains.
- DirectorPeter R. HuntStarsGeorge LazenbyDiana RiggTelly SavalasBritish agent James Bond goes undercover to pursue the villainous Ernst Stavro Blofeld, who is planning to hold the world to ransom.A very different Bond, indeed. The filmmakers definitely tried some things to shake up the formula a bit and many risks paid off. I dislike how Bond is dubbed for a good solid 30 minutes (Easily the weakest part of the film) and Lazenby is too generic.
- DirectorTerence YoungStarsSean ConneryClaudine AugerAdolfo CeliJames Bond heads to the Bahamas to recover two nuclear warheads stolen by S.P.E.C.T.R.E. Agent Emilio Largo in an international extortion scheme.Connery is still in top form as Bond, but the pacing at times is as slow as molasses and some fight scenes go on way too long. Still, has some good scenes and such a hot Bond girl.
- DirectorJohn GlenStarsRoger MooreMaud AdamsLouis JourdanA fake Fabergé egg recovered from the body of a fellow agent leads James Bond to uncover a jewel smuggling operation led by the mysterious Octopussy, and a plot to blow up a NATO air base.Has some entertaining parts to it, but Moore's starting to be a little too old to play the part.
- DirectorJohn GlenStarsRoger MooreChristopher WalkenTanya RobertsThe recovery of a microchip from the body of a fellow British secret agent leads James Bond to a mad industrialist scheming to cause massive destruction.Walken saves this one from being completely forgotten. It's definitely not bad, but no where near the top. Bond looks like a grandfather.
- DirectorLewis GilbertStarsRoger MooreLois ChilesMichael LonsdaleJames Bond investigates the mid-air theft of a space shuttle, and discovers a plot to commit global genocide.Campy fun, obviously a cash in on Star Wars. Nothing more.
- DirectorGuy HamiltonStarsRoger MooreChristopher LeeBritt EklandJames Bond is targeted by the world's most expensive assassin, while he attempts to recover sensitive solar cell technology that is being sold to the highest bidder. It's way too generic for its own good. Everyone is going through the motions, adds nothing new to the formula. Not bad, but not really good.
- DirectorLee TamahoriStarsPierce BrosnanHalle BerryRosamund PikeJames Bond is sent to investigate the connection between a North Korean terrorist and a diamond mogul, who is funding the development of an international space weapon. It's actually not bad for the first twenty minutes or so. Then, you could tell the filmmakers wanted to go "all out." The story is pretty preposterous, Berry is a terrible Bond girl, and the CGI climax is beyond bad. It is good for a nice laugh, though.
- DirectorLewis GilbertStarsSean ConneryAkiko WakabayashiMie HamaJames Bond and the Japanese Secret Service must find and stop the true culprit of a series of space hijackings, before war is provoked between Russia and the United States. One of the campiest and least entertaining Bond films. Forgettable Bond girls, Blofeld is a little weasel, and Bond becoming Japanese? Oh, please.
- DirectorGuy HamiltonStarsSean ConneryJill St. JohnCharles GrayA diamond smuggling investigation leads James Bond to Las Vegas where he uncovers an evil plot involving a rich business tycoon. The trashiest Bond of them all. The movie is just so boring and even Connery looks like it. Feels more like a John Waters film than anything else.
