darkknight230 I may be alone on this one but Gerald Butler would be perfect for Marc Anthony. Before he became a poncey, romantic comedy dweeb he was a real actor with alot of sex appeal and charisma. Just sayin'.

dana123 Marc Anthony is without doubt GERARD BUTLER. But Jolie is no Cleopatra! She's to skinny for Cleopatra, she's to skinny for everything.

3. Clive Owen

duke78ro Clive Owen is perfect for all the reasons Marc Antony would inspire... as for Cleopatra, Jolie is simply too old, too smug faced for the childish playful cunning character. But then again this is Hollywood; let`s throw in Jolie, Pitt and maybe Depp as Caesar, an overly melodramatic script and people will flock like crazy.

nicolas-kiehl Clive Owen would be a good match for the ambitious, impulsive, brutal and decadent Roman who fell in love with the Orient charms (but I may be biased by James Purefoy's performance ...).

As for Cleopatra, Bellucci was a very good match (though Cleopatra was in her 20s when she met Marc-Anthony!).

seraphin1 Gerard Butler, Daniel Day Lewis, maybe Russell Crowe (but I dont really prefer him)...They need to cast someone strong, someone who can emotionally and mentally match the performance that I hope Angelina will give. Cleopatra has such potential to highlight a mental and emotional character that uses these "powers" to manipulate, mold, and rule Egypt as a force to be reckoned with. Massive potential for this film, hope they can pull it off.
