My favourite tv actors - according to my favourite tv shows
1-45 überarbeitet am 13.10.2013. Alle Plätze mit über 50 Punkten platziert.
I got a list with 78 "favourite" shows, so every show gets points, #1 gets 75 points and #78 gets 1 Point. That of course changes when I finish a new show I like or another season, so the ranks change and my excel list is doing some new calculating.
Anyway, I gave every actor points for the show he is in, like f.e. Rachel Griffiths was in both B&S and SFU, so she gets points for both shows. But only for the percentage of episodes she has been in. That means: Rachel has been in 60 of 63 episodes of SFU (95 %), so she gets 95 % of 76 points (SFU is on #3 of my favourite shows) and 98 % of 58 points for B&S. I only include actors from which I have seen TWO complete seasons of TWO different shows. That's all, don't care if I liked both or not. Some actors also get included if they have had a long guest role.
So far, Michael C. Hall had been the number one, but after I finished Revenge, I could give my loved and favourite tv actress Emily VanCamp the number 1 spot, she's the only actor with 3 shows on my list, so that of course earned her some additional points. I don't think her top spot will be in danger so soon, her show is running and still could improve, and the other top ten actors already have very high rated shows, so they can't rise that much anymore.

(1990)Her character was present in one scene and spoke no dialogue, playing opposite a 17-year-old Elisha Cuthbert.74 Points for Everwood, 39 Points for Brothers & Sisters and 44 Points for Revenge.
= 158 Points (215 episodes, incl. season 2 finale of Revenge)
Emily is my favourite girl and actress in the world, and so I'm very proud that she finally reached #1 as I finished the first season of Revenge!!! She's the only actor with 3 shows on my list, that's impressive and she's so young! She will stay on top for a while now, and Revenge could do a bit better if they keep the quality with season 3 (after 2 episodes there still is hope).- Actress

= 151 points (229 episodes).
Miss Lauren Graham, without words. I love her, she's funny but she can make you cry, she was fantastic and still is on Parenthood. The NBC show could has now made it in my all-time-top-ten, so Lauren is now #2. Also watched her 5 episodes on Caroline In The City. With Parenthood's probably final 5th season, she will surpass Tim Allen's 231 episodes very soon and then be the #1 of the Points+Episodes Best Of List, which she is now together with Emily VanCamp. 3(!) other actors are also very happy about the renewal!- Actor

Peter William Krause was born on August 12, 1965, in Alexandria, Minnesota. Both his parents were teachers, and he has a sister and brother. He was raised in Roseville, Minnesota. He graduated in 1987 from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, with a degree in English literature. In 1990, he received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from New York University's Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts.
Krause's first role was in a horror movie Blood Harvest (1987). On Carol & Company (1990), he appeared opposite Carol Burnett and Richard Kind. It was an anthology comedy series, with actors playing different characters each week. After it ended in 1991, he guest starred on The Limo (1992) as Tim, a white supremacist, and on Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990) in a recurring role. In 1995, he appeared in starring and recurring roles on two short-lived shows, The Great Defender (1995) and If Not for You (1995). He also guest starred on Ellen (1994), University Hospital (1995), Caroline in the City (1995), Brotherly Love (1995), The Drew Carey Show (1995) and Party of Five (1994). He also got a major recurring role as Cybill's son-in-law, Kevin Blanders on Cybill (1995). Around the same time, he also appeared in a romantic comedy Lovelife (1997) opposite Saffron Burrows, Bruce Davison and Carla Gugino, and in A Friend in Dick (1997).
In 1998, he appeared in three movies, including The Truman Show (1998). He also got a starring role on ABC's comedy Sports Night (1998), created by Aaron Sorkin. He played sports anchor Casey McCall, opposite Josh Charles, Felicity Huffman and Joshua Malina, until the show's cancellation in 2000. After "Sports Night", he got a another starring role, on HBO's Six Feet Under (2001), created by Alan Ball. He received three Emmy nominations and two Golden Globes nominations for his role as funeral director Nate Fisher, the son of Ruth (Frances Conroy) and the brother of David (Michael C. Hall) and Claire (Lauren Ambrose). During a break from "Six Feet Under" in 2004, he also appeared in We Don't Live Here Anymore (2004) opposite Laura Dern and Mark Ruffalo and played a part on Broadway. After "Six Feet Under" ended in 2005, he appeared in the miniseries The Lost Room (2006) opposite Julianna Margulies and Elle Fanning as the lead Joe Miller and played the lead and produced the thriller Civic Duty (2006). In 2007, he got yet another lead on Dirty Sexy Money (2007) as the lawyer of one of New York City's wealthiest families, opposite Donald Sutherland, William Baldwin and Natalie Zea. Krause was also a producer on the show, but unfortunately, it ended in 2009, after two seasons.
After "Dirty Sexy Money" ended, Krause did not stay idle long, when he received the lead on Parenthood (2010) as Adam Braverman, opposite Lauren Graham, Craig T. Nelson and Bonnie Bedelia. "Parenthood" ended in 2015 after six seasons. In 2016, he was cast in ABC's crime drama, The Catch (2016), produced by Shonda Rhimes. The series lasted for two seasons and he played a con artist, who is being chased by a private investigator (Mireille Enos'), whom he defrauded. In 2017, he was cast in a leading role on FOX's 9-1-1 (2018), created by Ryan Murphy. He plays an LAFD fire captain Bobby Nash, opposite Angela Bassett. He also serves as an executive producer of the series.76 Points for Six Feet Under and 72 Points for Parenthood (incl. season 4 finale).
= 148 Points (140 episodes)
Funny coincidence: He was in SFU with #4 and is on Parenthood with #2 - and is dating Lauren (which he met for the first time back when she was on CITC end of the 90s!). :D Peter is a great drama actor, wonderful. I will watch "Dirty Sexy Money" for him, though the sneak peek I did was not that good. And I have to admit: I didn't like him on "The Lost Room". Hard to admit it, but he wasn't believable as a cop, didn't like the whole show much anyway. "Sports Night" I have watched 3 episodes, it was okay - I will give it a full season Summer '14. Sorry Peter, as long as Lauren is on your show and in every episode, she will always be one point ahead, and that's because I rated Gilmore Girls 2nd best show and SFU #3. Get over it. :D 3 Points, maybe Sports Night or Dirty Sexy Money can chnage things, but I wouldn't count on it.- Actor

Michael C. Hall was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, to Janice (Styons), a guidance counselor, and William Carlyle Hall, who worked for IBM. Michael is a graduate of NYU's Master of Fine Arts program in acting. He is known for the titular character "Dexter" in Dexter (2006) and as mortician "David Fisher" in Six Feet Under (2001). His most recent performance on Broadway was as "Hedwig" in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch". Previously, Hall portrayed the emcee in "Cabaret", "Billy Flynn" in "Chicago" and "John Jones" in "The Realistic Joneses". Hall has starred in nearly a dozen major off-Broadway plays, including "Macbeth" for the New York Shakespeare Festival, "Cymbeline" for the New York Shakespeare Festival at Central Park's Delacorte Theater, "Timon of Athens" and "Henry V" at the Public, "The English Teachers" for Manhattan Class Company, "Corpus Christi" at the Manhattan Theatre Club, "Mr. Marmalade" with the Roundabout Theatre Company and "Skylight" at the Mark Taper Forum. Michael C. Hall is performing in independent motion pictures, such as Cold in July (2014) and Kill Your Darlings (2013).76 Points for Six Feet Under and 70 Points for Dexter (incl. season 1-6).
= 146 points (135 episodes).
Michael is the man, awesome actor in two very different roles on two top 10 shows. It will be very tough for Dexter to rise even higher than #8 at the moment, but if the show stays on that level, it will maybe be top 5-6 one day (from what I hear that chanes aren't good). Close to #2-3, it's a tough competition. If Dexter finishes, maybe you could take another role and then the lead is yours! But I don't think he wants that.- Actor

Bryan Lee Cranston was born on March 7, 1956 in Hollywood, California, to Audrey Peggy Sell, a radio actress, and Joe Cranston, an actor and former amateur boxer. His maternal grandparents were German, and his father was of Irish, German, and Austrian-Jewish ancestry. He was raised in the Canoga Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, and also stayed with his grandparents, living on their poultry farm in Yucaipa. Cranston's father walked out on the family when Cranston was eleven, and they did not see each other again until 11 years later, when Cranston and his brother decide to track down their father.
Cranston is known for his roles as Walter White on the AMC crime drama Breaking Bad (2008), Hal on the Fox situation comedy Malcolm in the Middle (2000), and Dr. Tim Whatley on five episodes of the NBC situation comedy Seinfeld (1989). For his role on "Breaking Bad", he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series four times (2008-2010, 2014), including three consecutive wins. After becoming one of the producers during the series' fourth and fifth seasons, he also won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series twice.
In June 2014, Cranston won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for his portrayal of Lyndon B. Johnson in the play "All the Way" on Broadway. He reprised the role of Lyndon Johnson in the television adaptation All the Way (2016), which earned him widespread praise by critics. For the biographical drama Trumbo (2015), he earned widespread acclaim and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor. Cranston also appeared in several acclaimed films, such as Saving Private Ryan (1998), Little Miss Sunshine (2006), Drive (2011), Argo (2012) and Godzilla (2014). In 2019, he starred with Kevin Hart in the box office hit The Upside (2017).64 Points for Breaking Bad (incl. season 1-3) and 66 Points for Malcolm In The Middle. Also 2 points for Seinfeld (5 episodes).
= 132 points (192 episodes)
Mr. Bryan Cranston. Is he Hal, or is he Walter? Who is this man? He's a genius, that's for sure, awesome, I love him, he already was great on Seinfeld years before his two other shows started. Breaking Bad could easily reach the top 10, just have to watch season 4 someday when I'm wide awake, which will take me a while unfortunately. Yes, I should finally watch it, but still, he can be happy to be on #5 and he deserves it! That's why he isn't higher on the list...- Actress

Rachel is a very strong drama actress and deserves a top spot. Besides Matthew Fox (but at least I have some Party Of Five seasons missing), she's the only top 10 actor with no running show. Her "Camp" show was gone quickly and I didn't care enough to watch the pilot. Sorry.- Actor

Sam Jaeger began his professional career in New York, while still attending Otterbein College in Ohio, landing a guest-starring role on Law & Order (1990). He also spent several seasons doing theater in NY before making the move to Los Angeles. Once in LA, he landed parts in two feature films, Traffic (2000) and Behind Enemy Lines (2001). After those standout roles, he won the powerful role, opposite Bruce Willis and Colin Farrell in MGM's Hart's War (2002). In the years following, Jaeger has built an impressive television resume, including roles in such hits as ER (1994), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000), The West Wing (1999), NYPD Blue (1993), Scrubs (2001), That's Life (2000) and Girls Club (2002).
Jaeger's credits include the A&E biopic, The Riverman (2004), opposite Cary Elwes and Bruce Greenwood, and the Indy hit, Lucky Number Slevin (2006), opposite Bruce Willis and Josh Hartnett, which was seen at Sundance Film Festival in 2006 and opened nationally to critical acclaim. He was seen in the romantic comedy, Catch and Release (2006), also starring Jennifer Garner and Kevin Smith. Written and directed by Susannah Grant, writer of Erin Brockovich (2000) and In Her Shoes (2005), the film opened in January 2007.
In addition to his film and small screen credits, Jaeger has also co-written and co-produced two short films. The first, "Quiz Bowl", caught the eye of actress Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns (2006)), who later agreed to star in his next short, Advantage Hart (2003). "Advantage Hart" had its premiere at The Hollywood Film Festival. Jaeger's directorial debut, the short Untold (2009), is a period piece set in his home state of Ohio.
Samuel Heath Jaeger was born in Perrysburg, to LeAnne (Graening) and Charles Jaeger. His mother is of German descent, and his father is of German, English, and Scots-Irish ancestry.
Jaeger resides, with his wife, Amber Jaeger, in Los Angeles.54 Points for Eli Stone and 71 Points for Parenthood (incl. season 4 finale). Also one more point for his guest appearance on FNL.
= 126 Points (94 episodes)
Yeah, you didn't expect him but I really like him. He's underrated. He could't show too much on Eli Stone, I admit that, but he was fun. He does a good job on Parenthood, he could do even better but doesn't get too much screentime, he's not one of the 4 Braverman kids, so it's understandable. He can play drama and be funny as well, Sam's a cool guy, I would like to see him in a bigger role. Yes, he plays a supporting role all the time, still he was on enough episodes on great shows and that's what counts. Soon this year he will hit 100, that's cool.- Actor

Christopher Michael "Chris" Pratt was born on June 21, 1979 in Virginia, Minnesota and raised in Lake Stevens, Washington, to Kathleen Louise (Indahl), who worked at a supermarket, and Daniel Clifton Pratt, who remodeled houses. He is of mostly Norwegian descent. He graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1997, and has two older siblings, Cully and Angie.
Chris came to prominence for his small-screen roles, including Bright Abbott in Everwood (2002), Ché in The O.C. (2003), and Andy Dwyer and Parks and Recreation (2009), and notable film roles in Moneyball (2011), The Five-Year Engagement (2012), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), Delivery Man (2013), and Her (2013). In 2014, he broke out as a leading man after headlining two of the year's biggest films: he voiced Emmet Brickowski in The Lego Movie (2014) & starred as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014). In 2015, he headlined the sci-fi thriller Jurassic World (2015), the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park franchise and his most financially successful film. In 2016, he co-starred in the remake The Magnificent Seven (2016), with Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, and appeared with Jennifer Lawrence in the sci-fi drama Passengers (2016). In the near future, he returns as Star-Lord for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) not far behind.67 Points for Everwood and 58 Points for Parks and Recreation (incl. season 5 finale).
= 125 Points (168 episodes)
Another surprise. He wasn't too good on Everwood, yes he did play a very solid job as Bright Abbott but I often felt that there was not more to Chris. With P&R he is able to show his funny side (and singing too) and that works really well, and I also liked Bright, so Chris is on two really strong shows and Parks is one of the few or even the best current comedy for me.- Actress

Sarah Ramos was born on 21 May 1991 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is an actress and writer, known for Parenthood (2010), City Girl (2017) and The Bear (2022). She has been married to Matt Spicer since 25 October 2020.57 Points for Parenthood (incl. season 4 finale) and 57 Points for American Dreams (incl. season 1)
= 118 Points (80 episodes)
She's a new entry but she has to be on that list! She did a great job playing the young annoying sister on American Dreams, at first it seemed like a not so good role but she was so funny and got more interesting from episode to episode. She was even better than she is on Parenthood, which she left and I don't really mind. Maybe I could watch more American Dreams soon, that would help her. But with Parenthood, SAB and The Fosters, there's definitely way too much family drama going on atm and the next months.- Actor

Matthew Chandler Fox was born in Abington, Pennsylvania. His mother, Loretta B. (Eagono), was a schoolteacher, and his father, Francis G. Fox, was a consultant for an oil company, who raised longhorn cattle and horses and grew barley for Coors beer. He has Italian (from his maternal grandfather), English, and Irish ancestry. Matthew entered the Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts for a post-grad year after high school, and then matriculated at Columbia University where he played football and majored in Economics with the intent to end up on Wall Street. However, his girlfriend's mother was a modeling agent who convinced him to try some modeling which led to a couple of TV commercials. Soon after he was sold on acting.
He made his debut on an episode of _"Wings"(1990)_ in 1992. From 1994 to 2000 he played the role of Charlie Salinger in Party of Five (1994) alongside Neve Campbell and Scott Wolf. From 2004 to 2010 he starred on the popular TV-Show Lost (2004). During this time he appeared in movies such as We Are Marshall (2006), Vantage Point (2008) and Speed Racer (2008).
He has been married to his wife Margherita since 1992 and they 2 children together, a daughter and a son.66 Points for LOST and 47 Points for Party Of Five (incl. season 1-3).
= 113 Points (172 episodes)
Matthew is a strong actor (not sure if he's such a nice private person, you hear things and it's definitely been too much to ignore), he did a great job on LOST (my number one show ever) and back then on Party Of Five he already could show his talent (am happy that they released two more seasons in America!). I need to watch more of him, or not, if he doesn't stop behaving like that, I wouldn't really want to see him on my screen for some time. He's the only male actor in the top 10 without any running show but I got 3 seasons of him left - and as soon as the price drops, I get ready for more Party Of Five after a long break - but I got too much family drama anyway (Parenthood, SAB, The Fosters and American Dreams), so not before Summer of 2014.- Actor

Mr. Jimmy McNulty. He's a cool guy, I adore Jimmy and then discovered Dominic's latest show The Hour. He currently portrays "Mike Heck" in the ABC sitcom, The Middle (2009). Neil was born in the south-side of Chicago. He is of Irish descent and was raised Catholic. He moved to Waukegan, Illinois at an early age. After graduating from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, in 1982, Flynn returned to Chicago to pursue an acting career. Flynn participated on the nationally-renowned Bradley University Speech Team.60 Points for Scrubs and 42 Points for The Middle (incl. season 4 finale).
= 102 Points (263 episodes)
Okay, he didn't have a lead role on scrubs, but he was on 92 % of all episodes, and that's good for him, he gets the big points for that - and he was the Janitor or Jan Itor. Also starring on The Middle and that totally works, he has a different role and still is fun. Not the best actor but I like him and he makes me laugh and that are huge plus. Have you seen the episode number he has been in? From all actors with 2 shows (at least one lead and one long role), he has been in the most episodes. And it's not ending, he someday could reach over 300 episodes! And with someday I mean season 6 of The Middle, so far they are on their way of getting that one. Though the quality is dropping, I will continue watching until the every end.- Actor

Nick Wechsler has been building a quality career as an actor since he was a teen. Most notably, he played series regular, Jack Porter, on the ABC's Critics' Choice nominated series "Revenge". Nick quickly became a fan favorite on the series for his brooding, dramatic but surprisingly funny personality, which has been compared to that of James Franco.

Nick currently resides in Los Angeles.52 Points for Roswell and 44 Points for Revenge (incl. season 2 finale)
= 101 Points (91 episodes)
He is no great actor, maybe even not really good but he's nice enough to be on two good shows, he works as an additional supporting character and I can't say that I don't like Nick, he's a (very) nice guy, he works and he is able to deliver if he has to, what is bad about that? With Revenge rising, he managed to get his 2nd top 40 show, after reaching over 100 points, he is close of getting to 100 episodes as well. He will get them end of year!- Actor

A native of the Chicago suburb of Wilmette, D.W. Moffett never gave a thought to acting until after he graduated from Stanford University with a degree in International Relations. Subsequently, he appeared on Broadway in "The Boys of Winter" and "The Real Thing," as well as a Los Angeles production of Jon Robin Baitz's "The End of the Day." In his most recent return to the stage, D. W. was invited to play opposite Kevin Spacey in the critically acclaimed production of "The Philadelphia Story" at the Old Vic in London in 2005.
Since making the move to Hollywood, Moffett has divided his time between film and television. Favorite movie roles include appearances in "Stealing Beauty", directed by Bernardo Bertolucci, "Thirteen", directed by Catherine Hardwicke, "Twisted", directed by Phillip Kaufman, and Steven Soderbergh's "Traffic", for which he won a Screen Actor's Guild Award.

Interesting actor, a mean father on FNL, and a also a bit less mean one on SAB, but he works as the slighly baddish father, he does a good job. With the 2nd season of Switched At Birth done and into the top 10, he has now risen to #17, 71 Points are a big number and 19 for FNL, that's close to 100. He's now part of 10 Top 10 shows!- Actress

Since Switched At Birth has now finished two season with 51 episodes and went to the top 10, Vanessa hit the top 20 as well. She's cute and I like her, not the best actress but she's fun to watch and a pleasure off screen in interviews. Looking forward to more Switched At Birth.- Actor

His television career has included the short-lived series Under Cover (1991), Homefront (1991), Maggie (1998) and Feds (1997); and the mini-series A Woman of Independent Means (1995) with Sally Field and From the Earth to the Moon (1998), in which he played Walter Mondale. By having recurring roles on Will & Grace (1998) as Will's big brother, "Sam"; Judging Amy (1999) as Amy's estranged husband; and Sex and the City (1998) as a very kinky politician, John has become one of the most in-demand character actors. In 2001, he had a role on NBC's comedy-drama Ed (2000), where he played the confident, cool, aloof high school principal "Dennis Martino". This role earned him much notoriety, and made him the subject of debate among Ed (2000) fans. John has also had a long, successful and diverse career in the theater. He made his theater debut in the 1989 play "The Lisbon Traviata", which also starred Nathan Lane. Rob is a cool guy, I admit Chris has been better when he joined the show but he does a solid job on both shows and shows that he can play different characters but I strongly suggest that she show gets rid of him again, after his character was fun, he know has not much interesting stuff to do anymore. So now they're doing exactly that middle of season 6, but the show is dead anyway (ratings 1.2).- Actor

Lea Katherine Thompson was born May 31, 1961 in Rochester, Minnesota. She is the youngest of five children. Her parents are Barbara and Cliff Thompson. Since all her siblings were much older than her, Lea says it seemed like she had more than two parents. The family lived in the Starlight motel, all the kids sharing a room. Things began to look up for the family when Lea's father got a job in Minneapolis, where the family moved.
Lea's parents divorced when she was six, and her mother decided to maintain the family. This wasn't the easiest job, considering her mother was alcohol-addicted at the time. When she found the strength to quit drinking, she took a job playing the piano and singing in a bar to support Lea and her siblings. When Lea was seven, her mother remarried. Ever since Lea was little, she loved to dance -- ballet to be exact. She would practice three to four hours every day. Her first role was as a mouse in "The Nutcracker". After Lea turned fourteen, she had performed in more than 45 ballets on stages, such as The Minnesota Dance Theatre, The Pennsylvania Ballet Company, and The Ballet Repertory. She won scholarships to The American Ballet Theatre and The San Francisco Ballet. At age nineteen, she auditioned for Mikhail Baryshnikov, who later told her that she was "a beautiful dancer... but too stocky." Lea knew her dreams had been crushed. At that point, she decided to turn to acting. She began working as a waitress, also making 22 Burger King commercials and a few Twix commercials. She was perfect for these parts simply because she was the average girl-down-the-street, from the Midwest. Everyone who knows her can't believe she was and still is so completely different...trying to be independent and fight against the system. In 1982, Lea made some type of a computer game or interactive movie known as "Murder, Anyone."
Her first role was in the movie, Jaws 3-D (1983), as a water ski bunny, although she couldn't swim or ski, which she still can't! There, she met Dennis Quaid, who became her fiancée and acting coach. Her next role was in All the Right Moves (1983), where she acted opposite Tom Cruise. Director Michael Chapman was so disappointed with her performance, that he almost fired her. Between 1983 and 1984, Lea appeared in other "teen" movies, such as Red Dawn (1984), The Wild Life (1984), and Going Undercover (aka Going Undercover (1985)), and believes it was lucky that, in these movies, they were able to use anyone who could walk and talk! Lea's biggest known accomplishment, and her big break, came from the first Back to the Future (1985). It was the biggest hit of 1985, and Lea was suddenly the most wanted actress. She could have her pick of any role she wanted to take on. She chose Howard the Duck (1986). Although it was a George Lucas production, the critics turned the movie, and Lea, down. Afterwards, director Howard Deutch offered Lea a part in his movie, Some Kind of Wonderful (1987), but she refused. After he urged her to do it, she reconsidered. She won the Young Artist Award for best young actress. During filming, Howard and Lea fell in love, and she called it off with Dennis. She then went on to film The Wizard of Loneliness (1988), which was her first movie as a woman, rather than a youngster. Lea went on to film Back to the Future Part II (1989) and an episode of Tales from the Crypt (1989). She then married Howard Deutch. She continued filming Back to the Future Part III (1990), Montana (1990), and Article 99 (1992). Lea then took a break to stay home with her first born, Madelyn Deutch.
She jumped back into acting in Dennis the Menace (1993), where she says she just played herself. Then it was on to The Beverly Hillbillies (1993), Stolen Babies (1993), The Little Rascals (1994), and The Substitute Wife (1994). In 1994, she had her second child, Zoey Deutch. Lea then went into filming The Unspoken Truth (1995). It was then that she was first given the script of a new NBC sitcom, Caroline in the City (1995). It was probably the best decision Lea ever made. She won a People's choice Award for best actress in a new sitcom. Unfortunately, with all of NBC's problems, Caroline in the City (1995) kept being moved to a worse and worse time slot, giving it horrible ratings. The show ended after only four seasons. Bad ideas from the creators (Julia, etc.) didn't help, either.
Lea quickly went onto The Right to Remain Silent (1996), The Unknown Cyclist (1998), and A Will of Their Own (1998). She also guest-starred in the Friends (1994) episode, The One with the Baby on the Bus (1995), as "Caroline Duffy," and on The Larry Sanders Show (1992). Lea also did some stage work, including starring as "Sally Bowles" in "Cabaret." The show toured and also appeared on Broadway. She then did "The Vagina Monologues" in L.A. She had a stint in a dramatic role as a Chief Deputy Assistant District Attorney, "Camille Paris," on For the People (2002).
Thompson has starred in more than 30 films, 25 television movies, 4 television series, more than 20 ballets, and starred on Broadway in "Cabaret." Lea can currently be seen on ABC Family's Peabody Award winning hit show "Switched at Birth," where she acts and directs. Lea's movie credits include: "All the Right Moves," "Red Dawn," "Some Kind of Wonderful," "The Beverly Hillbillies," "Howard The Duck," (star and vocals) Clint Eastwood's "J. Edgar," the 2014 Sundance favorite Ping Pong Summer (2014), Fliegen (2005) starring Nicolas Cage, and The Year of Spectacular Men (2017), a film written by her daughter Madelyn Deutch. Thompson partnered with international Mirrorball Trophy holder Artem Chigvintsev on the 19th season of Dancing with the Stars (2005), placing sixth.
Lea lives in Los Angeles with her husband of over thirty years, film/television director Howard Deutch, and their two talented daughters, Madelyn and Zoey Deutch, along with many dogs, fish, horses, chickens, a cat, tortoise, and parrot. She supports and often performs for breast cancer, mental health, and Alzheimer's charities. Lea is currently writing her first book of essays.71 Points for Switched At Birth (incl. season 2 finale) and 5 more Points for Caroline In The City (season 1-2, 3 watching).
= 76 Points (100 episodes).
Since August 25, Lea should be also in the top 25, but as I update the list 2 month later, now she gets her spot. 71 Points for SAB and she's Caroline In The City, so she makes a big jump. But CITC is about to drop out of the Fav List, it won't hurt her much, just saying. I also watched 100 episodes with her (51 for SAB and 49 for the first two CITC seasons).- Actress

Connie Britton began playing country music fading sensation Rayna Jaymes in Nashville (2012) after having wrapped production for the five season long Friday Night Lights (2006) alongside Kyle Chandler. She previously appeared in Universal's Friday Night Lights (2004) -the movie- directed by Peter Berg and also starring Billy Bob Thornton; and Edward Burns' independent feature Looking for Kitty (2004).
Britton was born Constance Elaine Womack in Boston, Massachusetts, to Linda Jane (Cochran) and Edgar Allen Womack, Jr., a physicist and energy company executive. She is of Irish, German, and English descent.
Britton received accolades for her starring roles in Edward Burns' acclaimed independent films The Brothers McMullen (1995) and No Looking Back (1998). In the former, she captivated moviegoers with her portrayal of "Molly", the luminous wife of a cheating husband. This popular low-budget film went on to win the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. After nearly canceling her audition with director Edward Burns, this last meeting of the day turned into the role that would launch her career. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Britton moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, at the age of seven with her family, including her fraternal twin sister. She went on to attend Dartmouth College, where she majored in Asian studies and spent a term in Beijing, China. Upon graduation, she moved to New York, where she spent two years at the Neighborhood Playhouse studying with Sanford Meisner, and an additional two years performing in regional theater and off-Broadway productions. Incisive, intense, multi-talented American actor Lance Solomon Reddick was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the younger of two sons, to Solomon Reddick and public schoolteacher Dorothy Gee. Having opted initially for a career in music, he attended first the Peabody Preparatory Institute and the Walden School before studying classical composition at the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music, qualifying with a Bachelor's Degree. By the early '90s, however, Reddick was forced to re-evaluate his career plans because of a severe back injury suffered while pulling a double shift waiting on tables and delivering newspapers. A pressing need to make ends meet made him enroll at the Yale School of Drama, from where he went on to graduate in 1994 with a Master of Fine Arts Degree. He derived much inspiration from his classmate Paul Giamatti and came to regard Daniel Day-Lewis as his quintessential acting role model.
Possessed of an athletic build and a deep, resonant voice, Reddick also had a self-declared affinity for accents. Preparing himself for his roles, he immersed himself fully into his characters as a "transformational performer", often rehearsing his lines in front of a mirror. He made his television debut in an episode of New York Undercover (1994). Though he played a couple of drug addicts early on, he soon found himself much in demand-- and ultimately typecast -- as powerful authority figures, from police detectives (Johnny Basil in Oz (1997)) to FBI agents (Law & Order (1990)) to senior police officer (Cedric Daniels in The Wire (2002)). One of his best known roles on the big screen was as the mysterious Mr. Charon, concierge at the Continental Hotel, scene of much of the action in the John Wick (2014) franchise.
Arguably, his most memorable character was that of Phillip Broyles, special agent-in-charge with the Department of Homeland Security, heading a team of experts investigating paranormal events in the outstanding science fiction drama series Fringe (2008). Broyles was a no-nonsense tough guy, who, nevertheless, remained steadfastly loyal in defense of his team against insidious forces from within and without. Unlike Broyles, Reddick's other important recurring TV character, Chief Irving in Bosch (2014), was a morally ambiguous man motivated chiefly by political ambition. Both were flawless performances.
Prior to his sad and untimely passing in March 2023 at the age of 60, Reddick was much sought-after as a voice actor for animations and video games. He also never lost his lifelong passion for music, and, in 2007, released an album of his compositions entitled "Contemplations & Remembrances". In private life, the twice-married Reddick was said to have been very much devoted to his three dogs.71 Points for The Wire and 0 Points for Fringe (incl. season 2). From Cleveland to Hollywood, actress, producer, entrepreneur, funny woman, tear-jerker, designer, decorator, builder, creator, fixer, cook, cleaner, host, wife, Browns fan, homemaker, (very) amateur bowler and -her favorite title- mom, Monica Potter has achieved success in several different ways....save having a concise bio intro.
Monica Potter was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Nora Marie (Sexton), a homemaker and part-time cleaning lady, and Paul Ely Brokaw, Jr., who -among many other widely-used innovations- invented the first flame-resistant car wax. Her maternal grandparents were Irish.
A passionate creator by genes and trade, Potter, along with her 12-person "Monica Potter Home" team, is producing a line of natural, locally-crafted home and beauty products sold on mrspotter.com as well as the company's first standalone store, which opened in Garrettsville Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, in 2014. Building the company had been a dream for Potter. Through it, she aims to supplement the beauty and comfort of customers' homes at an affordable price, while creating sustainable job opportunities in the area. Appropriately enough, "Monica Potter Home" is headquartered in Potter's own childhood house in Cleveland; a structure Potter recently bought and renovated as part of an initiative to improve the neighborhood's condition.
When not running a company and knocking down walls, Potter is at work producing a sitcom, with Ellen DeGeneres and Warner Bros. Television, in which she will star as a mom, living under the same roof as her three ex-husbands. The script is in development and a pilot will be shot this spring. She is also producing a docu-series, tracking the renovation of her childhood home, with her favorite cast of characters...her family.
To the dismay of its extraordinarily vocal fans, Potter recently wrapped production on five seasons of NBC's acclaimed drama series, Parenthood (2010). For her portrayal of "Kristina Braverman" and her struggles to raise three children (including one with Autism), an emotional battle with breast cancer and run for mayor, Potter has garnered a 2014 Golden Globes nomination, a 2013 Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama, a TCA Award nomination for Individual Achievement in Drama & continued Emmy buzz.
Potter's previous television credits include roles in Boston Legal (2004), for which Potter and her cast mates were nominated for a 2005 Screen Actors Guild award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, TNT's Trust Me (2009), USA's Reversible Errors (2004) and the beginning of it all, The Young and the Restless (1973).
Potter burst onto the film scene with her co-starring role, opposite Nicolas Cage in Simon West's Con Air (1997). She then starred, with Robin Williams, in the acclaimed dramedy, Patch Adams (1998) and appeared opposite Morgan Freeman in the thriller, Along Came a Spider (2001). Other film credits include the comedies, Head Over Heels (2001) and I'm with Lucy (2002), the mega-hit horror classic Saw (2004), Without Limits (1998), Lower Learning (2008) and The Last House on the Left (2009).
Potter resides in both Cleveland and Los Angeles with her family.72 Points for Parenthood and 0 Points for Boston Legal.

Great angry attitude as Kim on F&G, Audrey was nice sometimes but annoying later and Laurie was just a flat character. Busy is really nice, but a super nice character doesn't work, you see how much better her angry Kim was. That was fun and interesting.- Actress

I really like Shiri. Back on Roswell she did a very good job. It wasn't her fault that season 3 focused on Katherine Heigl and was not so good anymore. Life Unexpected I finished the complete series, it was a fight and Shiri struggled as well with the horrible writing most of the time. Now she's on one Fav Show (#11) and could reach over 100 episodes if her new upcoming show is ordered and broadcasted - because I will watch.- Actress

Portia de Rossi was born and raised in Geelong, Australia. Originally born Amanda Rogers, at 15 she changed her name to Portia, saying that it was the most daring thing she had ever done up until that point. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Melbourne, and studied law. Although she studied diligently, in 1993, Portia found herself giving special notice to a casting director who saw her in a commercial, and she soon auditioned for Sirens (1994), a low budget comedy starring Hugh Grant. She was cast in the role of Giddy, one of the three gorgeous models in the movie. It wasn't until 1997, however, that Portia at last began to attract real attention. She turned an unforgettable role as Murphy in Scream 2 (1997), and in 1998 she joined the cast of Ally McBeal (1997) as the "Ice Queen", Nelle Porter. She has also worked on such projects as Stigmata (1999), Girl (1998), and The Invisibles (1999), and she has appeared on several magazine covers, including Shape. Timothy Allen Dick was born on June 13, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, to Martha Katherine (Fox) and Gerald M. Dick. His father, a real estate salesman, was killed in a collision with a drunk driver while driving his family home from a University of Colorado football game, when Tim was eleven years old. His mother, a community service worker, remarried her high school sweetheart, an Episcopalian deacon, two years after Tim's father's death. He was raised with his many siblings and step-siblings. When Tim was young, his family moved to Birmingham, Michigan.
In high school, his favorite subject was shop, of course, and after high school, he attended Western Michigan University and graduated with a degree in Television Production in 1975. In 1978, he was arrested on drug charges and spent two years in jail. Upon his release, he had a new outlook on life and on a dare from a friend, started his comedy career at the Comedy Castle in Detroit. Later, he went on to do several cable specials, including, Comedy's Dirtiest Dozen (1988) and Tim Allen: Men Are Pigs (1990). In 1991, he became the star of his own hit television series on ABC called Home Improvement (1991). While continuing to film his television series throughout most of the 1990s, he starred in a string of blockbuster movies, including The Santa Clause (1994), Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2 (1999) and Galaxy Quest (1999). Home Improvement was one of the or maybe even the first show I fell in love with. Even if it was better then and it just okay-good today, Tim I really like a lot. I watched every Last Man Standing episode of season 1 plus 2 season 2 eps (JTT and Richard Karn), and I just can say that it's a weak, boring, unfunny show most of the time, HI was a lot better and funnier, had better characters, imagine if HI had no Jill just the LMS wife (which is not bad but also not good), no Wilson, no Al and no cool kids. Then it would suck. Sorry Tim, you are on the list cos I will finish season 1 though it hurts and annoys me.- Actor

Jonny (sometimes credited as Johnny) Lee Miller was born on November 15, 1972, in Kingston, England, UK. He is the son of actors Anna Lee and Alan Miller and the grandson of actor Bernard Lee.
