Lauren Keyana "Keke" Palmer was born on August 26, 1993 in Harvey, Illinois and raised in Robbins, Illinois to Sharon and Larry Palmer, both former actors. Palmer showed vocal promise as a five-year-old, when she belted out "Jesus Loves Me" in her church choir. A year later the singer-actress had a solo in her kindergarten play but, to her mom's dismay, the mike had not been adjusted to suit her daughter's height. Without missing a beat, Palmer lowered the mike and moved the crowd with her heavenly voice. At that very moment, her family knew there was something special about Keke (a nickname given to her by her sister).
Although music was still her passion, Palmer's first big break came via her acting skills, making her big-screen debut in Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004) as Queen Latifah's niece. Immediately recognizing her star potential, the film's producers encouraged her parents to take their daughter to California to explore other acting opportunities. Relocating required that Palmer's parents leave behind the security of their jobs, a newly purchased home and uproot their other three children. However, it didn't diminish the family's support of Palmer's aspirations.
Once settled on the West Coast, Palmer did not waste any time. Within six weeks she had booked an episode of the critically acclaimed CBS series Cold Case (2003), a national K-Mart commercial and was chosen from a nationwide search to play opposite William H. Macy in a TNT movie, The Wool Cap (2004). Her performance was so amazing that it earned her a Screen Actors Guild nomination--to date, she is the youngest actress (then at age ten) ever to receive a nomination in a Lead Actress Category.
In 2006 Palmer appeared as the lead character "Akeelah Anderson" in the critically acclaimed, award-winning film Akeelah and the Bee (2006). The film, about a young South Los Angeles girl who attempts to win a national spelling bee, won the hearts of audiences everywhere. Her breakthrough performance has received praise from many film critics and organizations. Among the list of nominations received, "Akeelah and the Bee" was listed as one of NBR's 2006 Top Independent Films of the Year, as well as four nominations from the NAACP Image Awards. Palmer, alone, won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Motion Picture, as well as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Motion Picture by the Black Movie Awards. She has also received nominations for Most Promising Newcomer by the Chicago Film Critics, Best Actress by the Black Reel Awards, and Best Young Actress by the Broadcast Film Critics Association. Keke held her own in scenes with veteran co-stars Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne.
That very same year, Palmer appeared in Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion (2006), which was #1 at the box office for two consecutive weeks. Palmer went on to win a 2007 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for her breakout role in "Akeelah and the Bee". She also received a ShoWest Award for Rising Star of the Year. Shortly after, Palmer lit up the small screen starring in the Disney Channel's hit movie, Jump in! (2007). This one-two punch of big-screen success coupled with small screen ratings power made Keke Palmer a household name in Hollywood.
Palmer contributed her first recording, which was featured on the "Akeelah and the Bee" soundtrack, titled "All My Girlz", and followed it up with the ever popular "My Turn Now" on the "Jump In!" soundtrack. As if two soundtracks were not enough, she was also asked to sing "Tonight", an end title song from the smash-hit Ben Stiller movie, Night at the Museum (2006). Her Atlantic Records debut album, "So Uncool", is jammed with up-tempo R&B tracks, inspirational moments, and love songs. In 2008, Palmer starred in the Weinstein Co. feature, The Longshots (2008). The film was based on the true story of a young female quarterback, played by Palmer, that makes Pop Warner history; she starred opposite Ice Cube, for first time director and Limp Bizkit front man, Fred Durst.
Palmer also starred as the title character in the hit Nickelodeon series, True Jackson, VP (2008), for 68 episodes. She played a high-school student who becomes the head of a major fashion label. In the fall of 2008, "True Jackson" bowed with over 4.8 million viewers, setting a record for Nickelodeon's largest audience for a live-action premiere. She has received four NAACP Awards for Best Actress in Children's Television for her role as "True Jackson". In 2011, Keke joined the voice cast of Nickelodeon's Winx Club (2004). She played Aisha, the Fairy of Waves. For her voice work on Winx Club, she received another NAACP Award nomination, this time for Outstanding Performance in a Youth/Children's Series or Special.
Keke starred in the movie, Abducted: The Carlina White Story (2012), for the Lifetime Network. She had a voice role in the 20th Century Fox animated film, Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012), as the character "Peaches". Her co-stars include Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Jennifer Lopez and Queen Latifah.
Palmer was seen on the big screen in the Alcon/Warner Bros movie, Joyful Noise (2012), singing alongside legendary Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton, however, it was Palmer who the critics singled out for her "young and inspiring" rendition of the Michael Jackson song, "Man in the Mirror".

Introduced to most of the world in 2005 with the smash single "1 Thing," triple-threat actress / dancer / singer-songwriter-producer Ameriie continues to evolve.
Amerie was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, to Mi Suk, a Korean-born artist, and Charles Rogers, an African-American military man. As a young girl, she lived in a variety of places, including South Korea, Germany, Texas and Alaska due to her father's US military career. Having to constantly adapt to new environments, she developed a very strong sense of self early on. She excelled in school, but also found a creative outlet in writing fiction and music.
Ameriie went on to Georgetown University, where she earned a bachelors degree in English and Fine Arts/Design. After securing a record deal shortly after graduation, she released her debut album "All I Have" and, together with Richard A. Harrison, helped steer contemporary R&B away from synthetic sounds through the use of live, aggressive instrumentation and vocalization. Three years later she turned out "Touch", which solidified her as one of music's most exciting artists, thanks to the overwhelming success of the go-go-inspired track "1 Thing." In 2007 she released "Because I Love It", which featured the hip-hop electro sound that is still prevalent in pop music today.
After releasing three critically acclaimed albums, Ameriie decided it was time to reposition herself. In 2008 she parted ways with Sony and co-founded entertainment company Feeniix Rising Entertainment with business partner Lennie Nicholson. "In Love & War", an aggressive mix of trunk rattling hip-hop, raw soul reminiscent of James Brown and classic Led Zeppelin-era rock-'n-roll, quickly followed. The singer managed to turn the tumultuous times of past relationships into a moving collection of songs which resonate with anyone who has ever been on the wrong side of love.
Ameriie is in the process of recording her latest project, "Cymatika", which she describes as an album that speaks to "the things that drive us." Always fusing different musical elements, this time she picks up where 2007's "Because I Love It" left off, and adds a heavier dose of New Wave, trance and electronica. Ameriie is also working on three books: her first fiction novel, a guide book for young girls and teens, and a wedding planning book with celebrity wedding planner Tiffany Nieves-Cook, with whom she's been planning her wedding for the past year.- Actress

Born in New York City and raised in the Bronx and later (during high school) Atlanta, Christine Horn knew from a young age that she was destined for a creative career. She is an alumna of one of the top performing arts high schools in the country, Tri Cities in Atlanta. By the age of 19 she was able to procure her first agent.

Christine is the coach that she wishes that she had had and takes tremendous pride in being able to help guide young actors towards navigating the business side of the entertainment business. She has earned the moniker of being 'the booking magnet' for the sagacious advice that she dispenses as she passes the baton to new and rising creatives by giving back to the acting community.

Tami Roman grew up in a middle-class, single-parent household in White Plains, NY. Since her mom worked three jobs to support the family, Tami spent many days and nights alone, undoubtedly a "latch-key" kid responsible for raising herself. It wasn't until her mother met and married Ali Akbar that her childhood changed drastically. Ali, a devout Muslim, taught Tami the value of higher education, spiritual foundation and strong family values, although it was the Muslim culture that would subconsciously teach Tami that women should be submissive and eternally supportive of their husbands, as they are the head of the household.
Falling in line with the culture may have worked for Tami, but not her mother. Discovering that Ali had been unfaithful to her, Tami's mother immediately divorced him, leaving Tami broken and confused--the only man that she associated unconditional love with was snatched away and the only woman she ever loved and respected became a hardened, cynical workaholic. Tami would spend the better part of her life trying to find love lost and working hard to never become as distant as her mother.
Over the next couple of years Tami and her mother would go through many trials and tribulations. They developed an incredibly close bond, so much so that they appeared to be more like sisters than mother and daughter. At one point they had to live on the streets for six months when her mother was unjustly terminated from her job, but they they stuck together, faced the toughest of storms and developed a relationship that would stand the test of time. Tami didn't attend her prom and almost didn't participate in her graduation ceremony because she couldn't afford her cap and gown. All of life's low points helped Tami and her mother to become strong, independent, knowledgeable, humble women who know, understand and appreciate the value of life.
Tami had thought about a career in the modeling field and when she had a chance to get a role on MTV's hit reality series The Real World (1992) it seemed to be an answer to her prayers, and Tami's and her mother's lives suddenly took a major turn for the better.
Over the course of Tami's career she has worked as a relief VJ for MTV, hosting MTV Beach House (1993), MTV Jams (2009), "Primetime MTV" and Rude Awakening (1998). Her career really ignited after her divorce in 2001. She has landed regular roles on several TV series, appeared in more than five pilots and got recurring roles on Summerland (2004), Sex, Love & Secrets (2005) and CBS' vampire hit Moonlight (2007), made guest-starring appearances on several shows, including JAG (1995), One on One (2001), The Drew Carey Show (1995), Silk Stalkings (1991) and Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996). She has also appeared in several independent films, including MacArthur Park (2001) with Thomas Jefferson Byrd, Hair Show (2004) with Mo'Nique, The Last Stand (2013) and Something Like a Business (2010) with Kevin Hart. However, proving she is a jack of all trades, Tami has been a weather correspondent for Los Angeles' KTLA-TV news, co-air host of the revived game show Card Sharks (2001), and had a role on a "view" type talk show pilot with Telepictures.
She has owned her own consignment boutique and spearheaded an interior decorating firm in partnership with her mother. Tami definitely represents a diverse view of life.+ Her diversity and outspoken nature have made her the guest speaker of choice on a plethora of topics, although she is highly sought after in particular for relationship issues, women's issues, inspirational panels, personal growth, celebrity oriented panels and hot celebrity gossip. In fact, Tami has already been a featured guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show (1986), 20/20 (1978), The Sharon Osbourne Show (2006), ESPN, E! News and several other outlets. Additionally, Tami was a featured speaker for the 2010 Circle of Sisters relationship panel with Laura Oz and radio personality Egypt.
Tami can be seen as the newest cast member on VH1's hit reality show Basketball Wives (2010), which follows the lives of seven women linked to professional basketball players. "Basketball Wives" has consistently held over a million viewers since the show debuted in April 2010.
Tami is never satisfied with the obvious; she recognizes that show business is a "business", and one has to capitalize when the iron is HOT!. Therefore, she has decided to take on some new challenges, one of which is writing her autobiographical memoir, entitled "The B.I.T.C.H. Chronicles". "The B.I.T.C.H. Chronicles" is an in-depth, no-holds-barred look at Tami's real world (no pun intended). She is also writing several screenplays, producing a short film and developing several reality show ideas.
Tami is a mother of three teenage girls and resides in Bogota, New Jersey, with her soul mate. Always involved in her daughters' lives, she is working on securing a record deal for two daughters who have a hip-hop/r&b group and a fashion scholarship/internship for her stepdaughter.- Fatima Said is known for Mountains of the Moon (1990).

LeToya Nicole Luckett-Walker (née Luckett; born March 11, 1981) is a two-time Grammy Award-winning American R&B singer-songwriter and entrepreneur. She is an original member of the R&B group, Destiny's Child, and has since pursued a successful solo career, topped the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart and has been certified platinum by the RIAA.
Luckett was born in Houston, Texas and grew up singing in her local church, Brentwood Baptist Church. Her father, a singer, spread the word of his daughter's talent. Luckett had the opportunity to sing her first church solo at the age of five. "The lady just gave me the mic one Sunday and I sang", she recalls. Shortly thereafter, she joined the children's choir and began performing in plays at her elementary school, where she met Beyoncé.
In 1993, Luckett joined the group, Destiny's Child alongside Knowles, Kelly Rowland and LaTavia Roberson. Graduating from the Houston club scene, the group began opening for such acts as Dru Hill, SWV and Immature. Columbia Records signed Destiny's Child in 1997.
In 1998, Destiny's Child released their self-titled debut album, "Destiny's Child", which included the singles "No, No, No" featuring Wyclef Jean and "With Me". They were also featured on the "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" soundtrack with the song, "Get on the Bus", featuring Timbaland (aka Timbaland), which was released as a single in Europe. "Destiny's Child" toured as an opening act on TLC's "Fanmail Tour" and Christina Aguilera's debut tour.
In 1999, "Destiny's Child" released their sophomore album, "The Writing's on the Wall". It became one of the biggest selling albums released by a female group and was certified eight-times platinum in the U.S. The album included four hit singles, "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Bug a Boo", "Say My Name" and "Jumpin' Jumpin'".
During 2000, in the midst of the success of "The Writing's on the Wall", Luckett and fellow member LaTavia Roberson tried to make a break with their manager by writing a letter stating "they wanted an additional business manager since they felt they were losing communication with Mathew Knowles (Beyoncé' father)". The pair said at the time they were only looking to secure outside management, but they soon found themselves on the outs with the Knowles family. When the "Say My Name" music video debuted in February 2000, they were shocked to find themselves replaced by two new members, Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin.
After several months of media speculation, LeToya and LaTavia Roberson began auditioning young women for a new female R&B quartet. Naty Quinones and Tiffany Beaudoin made the cut. The group, "Anjel", recorded a 22-song demo in Atlanta. The production company which handled the group fell through and all the members of "Anjel" went their separate ways.
In 2003, Luckett decided to pursue a solo career and signed with Capitol Records. She immediately began working on her debut solo album and, in 2004, she released her first track, "You Got What I Need", a promo single available exclusively on vinyl.
Her self-titled debut album, "LeToya", was released on July 25, 2006.
On the issue dated August 12, 2006, Luckett's debut album, "LeToya", debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200. As of December 2006, the album had been certified platinum, having shipped over 1,000,000 copies.
Her official first single, "Torn", was a ballad produced by Teddy Bishop. The song has reached number two on Billboard magazine's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, number thirty-one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, number one on BET's 106 & Park countdown, and also number one on Urban Mediabase. Her second single, "She Don't", premiered on BET's "Access Granted" in July 2006 and was a moderate success reaching number seventeen on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.- Actress

Elena Nordé is an Actress/Singer/songwriter who was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. She is a multi-talented artist, and her music ranges from R&B and Pop to Gospel.
Elena's fourth Christmas was highlighted by the unparalleled gift of a microphone. With the receipt of that gift, the emergence of her need to sing became apparent. Elena and her mother soon began performing singing duets as entertainment at family functions, and singing swiftly progressed from being a hobby to becoming an aspiration to be accomplished.
After auditioning, Elena was chosen to become a member of Horizon - a Christian girls vocal group that had been cultivated within her church. For the next 2 years, she would sing and record with Horizon. During that time, the group produced a CD that was followed by a tour. Horizon's eventual split in 2002 had no detrimental effect on Elena's resolve to pursue a singing career. Elena's experience as a member of Horizon served only to further solidify her longing to be a part of the music industry.
Following her departure from Horizon at the age of 16, Elena began to fully unearth herself musically as she began to collaborate with local rap groups and aspiring producers. As a high school student, Elena was bestowed with the honor of being invited to sing the National Anthem at all of her high school events. During her last year of high school her songs, always complete with captivating hooks, could be heard throughout the hallways via the school's intercom system. Elena had the distinct pleasure of performing at her Senior prom and was voted "most likely to get a record deal" by her fellow students.
In 2004, Elena attended Georgia Southern University and soon acquired a reputation on campus as "the girl who could sing". In time, she was being asked to perform at many school functions. By the end of 2005, she enjoyed her first real break. Through her reconnection with Bernard "Lil' Nard" Rosser, an aspiring producer she had worked with in high school, Elena was invited to a Grand Hustle Christmas party. It was there that Elena met Big Kuntry King, a well-known Southern rapper, who was starting to benefit from a certain amount of recognition within the music industry. He invited her to sing on one of his songs, with the intent of getting a sense of her voice as his only objective. However, he was so impressed with what he heard that within a couple of months the song, complete with Elena's vocal contribution, was included on his anticipated mix tape.
Since then, Elena has worked with other artists such as RL from NEXT, and Carl Thomas, to name a few. In Sept. 08', Elena released her debut album "Still In Love". Since then, she has gained a heavy volume of overseas listeners anticipating her next move. Elena has also been pursuing an acting career, having appeared in numerous commercials as well as many independent films. She is also working behind the scenes as Lisa Raye's stand-in on the highly anticipated new VH1 series "Single Ladies". Gabrielle Dennis is a multi-hyphenated artist with a background as a trained dancer, actress, and singer stretching all the way back to age 4. Gabrielle always knew she would have a career in the arts and although she has appeared on stage and film she is best known for her work in television. Her first major recurring role was as Janay Brice on the hit series "The Game" (CW & BET) that was canceled after 3 seasons on the CW but later picked up by BET thanks to a campaign started by fans for the beloved show's return. Gabrielle left the show in 2012 and went on to star in 1 season of "Blue Mountain State" (Spike TV) and guest star on several series like Justified (FX), Bones (Fox), and Baby Daddy (ABC Family) to name a few before landing her first network series regular role on "Rosewood" (Fox) where she played the titular characters sister, Pippy Rosewood. Producers, aware of her abilities, introduced her singing as part of her character's storyline allowing Gabrielle to record several songs for the series and it's subsequent soundtrack. Rosewood was canceled after only 2 seasons but Gabrielle immediately landed her next series as Tilda Johnson aka Nightshade on the junior season of Marvel's Luke Cage where was once again able to showcase her singing talent with a song she performed and wrote entitled "Family First" for the series very climatic reveal. Unfortunately fans never got a chance to see her character fully develop as the show was canceled when Disney pulled all of its series from Netflix. Luckily though this made her available to portray Whitney Houston in "The Bobby Brown Story" a two part mini-series for BET that earned Gabrielle an NAACP Image Award nomination for her performance and an actual win for the series. Since that nomination Gabrielle has gone on to portray another icon, Tina Turner, for an episode of "American Soul" (BET) about the famed Soul Train series and recurred on two more shows: Insecure (HBO) and S.W.A.T (CBS).
In 2019 Gabrielle had the opportunity to go back to her comedy routes when Robin Thede, whom Gabrielle first met back in her stand-up comedy days, approached her to co-star in a series she created for HBO called "A Black Lady Sketch Show" that went on to earn three Emmy Nominations in its 1st season. Although Gabrielle has performed stand-up, toured with a sketch troop and was a series regular an another sketch comedy series, "The Underground" (Showtime), most fans were shocked to see Gabrielle portray over 2 dozen characters in the first 2 seasons of "A Black Lady Sketch Show" and look forward to seeing her do more on the heels of a season 3 pickup. In 2020 Gabrielle returned to Netflix as a recurring character on the new hit series "The Upshaws" as Tasha where fans have been able to experience even more of her comedic talents. In 2021 Gabrielle landed her first leading lady role for a network television pilot entitled "Someone Out There" (CBS) which is scheduled to film summer 2021.- Actress
