Second time i've watched this movie. Ok movie about Dieter Dengler who was shot down in Laos, during the prelude to the Vietnam war. Some scenes had more potential, pace of the story differs strongy between scenes. End in which he gets back on his own ship is nice. - DirectorRandall WallaceStarsMel GibsonMadeleine StoweGreg KinnearThe story of the first major battle of the American phase of the Vietnam War, and the soldiers on both sides that fought it, while their wives wait nervously and anxiously at home for the good news or the bad news.

- DirectorBrian Trenchard-SmithStarsWings HauserR. Lee ErmeyRobert ArevaloA tough U.S. sergeant and his sidekick roll into a demoralized firebase, where they attempt to rebuild morale and fortifications amid a climactic battle with the Viet Cong.28-03-12
Dire situation in a dire war. R. Lee Ermey lifting the movie by playing his natural role: a tough sergeant.
A lot of action and much too big explosions, but not too disturbing. Cavelery attacking the rear shifting the balance, a classic tactic in a modern war.
A little bit of humor in the process: "Password!" "f@ck the password!!".
And every time I watch this kind of movie I wonder: how do people get so mad they run straight into machine gun fire, knowing the odds are slim to make it out there alive. And every time I think: why not throw smokegrenades first, preferably at night?!? - DirectorKriv StendersStarsTravis FimmelToby BlomeAlexander EnglandIn August 1966, in a Vietnamese rubber plantation called Long Tan, 108 young and inexperienced Australian and New Zealand soldiers are fighting for their lives against 2500 North Vietnamese and Viet Cong soldiers.
