We've seen the same old cliché story a couple of times already. This time it's only in a fancier jacket. It's pretty sad because the beginning of the movie was great and it had so much potential. Cameron, Aliens is still your best movie.

It forces itself to be very intelligent and emotional. It's result. A quasi-intelligent movie with a cliché dead wive story which doesn't wake up any emotion to the viewer. It contains a lot of verbal dialogues where Nolan's ideas about dreams are explained. It's a goddamn movie! It would be clever if these ideas would be explained by images, not by explaining it in dialogues! It has always been the problem in Nolan's movies. And why are the dreams always having a COD/James Bond environments? Everything is possible in dreams so be creative.
And the last thing: Ellen Page who suddenly comes in the movie and knows more than every experienced dream thief. Come on don't give her all the credit. She has such an uninteresting role.
But the movie makes up alot with it's visually impressive scenes, and the great music. It just not worth the rating that the users of IMDB give.

While The Dark Knight was perfect and eliminated all the flaws of Batman Begins, this movie was just a trainwreck. A lot of things didn't make sense and everything felt forced because Nolan tried too hard to surpass The Dark Knight. It tried too look intelligent while in it's core it's not.

The people who made this movie have no idea how animals/people learn things. Haven't they heard of trial and error? The apes could make things without being learned how to do it. That could be extreme luck but not more than that. Also the apes weren't being apes but humans. But that always has been a problem in movies where animals play a big role. They will act like they're human.They try so hard to make their ideas in the movie scientifically plausible, but they simply don't know how it really works in real life.

I just found this movie extremely boring. The plot wasn't shocking. A lot of movies/series are using the CIA for their movies. Always that secret projects which always show us the same conflict between pragmatism and moralism. This can be very interesting, but this movie just doesn't stand out comparing it to the same sort of movies/series. I prefer the serie Chuck over this.

The relationship between Denzel and the child is very interesting, it is very well done. But the movie goes overboard fast when you see Denzel becoming a monster. The movie just doesn't explain that well what his motives are why Denzel going for the extreme while he shouldn't had to. Give a good reason why. Now he is just being reckless and stupid. A movie which did this just right and had all the reason for the main character to go for the extreme was Drive.
