- DirectorEdgar LewisStarsOrrin JohnsonMary CarrSally CruteVladimir Krestovsky, a Russian peasant of unusual physical and mental prowess, hearkens to the call of America, and leaving his wife, Nataska, and his year-old baby, Olga, behind, makes the journey and secures work in the steel mills of Pittsburgh. From a position as a laborer, he finally works himself up to be one of the great financial factors of the world. His wife in Russia has not heard from him for many years and knows nothing of his success. He shortens his name of Krestovsky to that of Krest. Then commits bigamy by marrying the daughter of one of the social leaders in the country. In the meantime, over in Russia, his daughter, Olga, has grown to womanhood. She is wooed and won by Nicholas, a kindly young Russian peasant. Krest's American wife dies. His mind, as he sits by her bedside, takes him back to the Street of Forgotten Days when he bid Nataska good-bye. The voice of conscience preys upon him and he endeavors to seek diversion in art. He purchases the original of Hoffman's famous painting of "Christ and the Rich Young Man." Arriving in America, Nicholas and Olga secure work in one of Krest's mills in Pittsburgh. They live with Nataska in a miserable tenement house. A baby is born to Olga, and she, in her weakened condition, returns to work. One day she is severely injured. Nicholas sits beside his wife. He realizes that with her death will also come the death of their offspring. A peasant from another part of the tenement urges Nicholas to appeal to the "Big Boss" Krest himself. Nicholas determines to do so and starts out. In the meantime, Krest has arrived home. The painting has been hung, and he is puzzled as he studies the face of Christ; he wonders where he has seen it in real life. Without a storm has begun to gather, and far up on a distant hill, the stranger appears in a silhouette against the threatening sky. Slowly and peacefully he comes down into the house of Krest. To Krest's startled questions the Stranger replies that he is one who has come to show him the error of his ways. The Stranger takes Krest into the tenement house, shows him the living conditions of the people who work for him. Then the Stranger shows him into the home of Nicholas and shows him Olga and the baby both dead in bed. Then they go back to the home of Krest. On entering, Krest struck by the Stranger's manner and appearance, compares him to the figure of Christ in the painting, and the sub-conscious mind within him forces him to tell the Stranger that it seems he knew him in the long ago. Then the Stranger informs him that he did know him, and asks him if he cannot remember, centuries ago, and the scene goes back to Jerusalem. Krest is the reincarnation of the Rich Young Man, the Stranger is the same Christ, who, centuries ago, had urged the Rich Young Man to go sell all he had, give to the poor and to follow him, but the Rich Young Man could not think of giving up his immense wealth and had left Christ with the beggars. Then the scene comes back to Krest's library. Christ, for the Stranger is Christ, then tells the penitent Krest that, though he did not heed him then, to heed him now, and he tells him that perhaps he did not understand him then, that he did not mean for him to sell everything he possessed, but rather that he should take that which he did not actually need and use to benefit his fellowmen. The Stranger makes the sign of the cross, and disappears. In the meantime, Nicholas has been hastening to Krest's home. The storm breaks without and Krest awakens with a start. He crosses to the windows to shut them. Nicholas has arrived, but the butler refuses him admittance. The rain has drenched him and he stands there. Krest, who has crossed to shut the windows, peers at him. The sight of Nicholas, who looks so much like Christ, staggers Krest, who wonders if it has all been a dream, and watches Nicholas disappear into the storm. Realizing it is really a human being, he calls the butler and bids him bring Nicholas back. Krest questions him and then tells him that he is anxious to see conditions as they really are. He goes back with Nicholas to his home. On the way Krest secures a doctor to care for Olga, never suspecting that it is his own daughter and son-in-law whom he is benefiting. Arriving at the house, the doctor and Nicholas cross to the bedside of Olga, who, much to Krest's relief, is still alive and has a chance to recovering. Krest notes the terrible living quarters of the people, and determined to investigate farther. He starts into the kitchen, where he comes face to face with his wife. Without a word, Nataska crosses to his side, and he takes her into his arms, and so the rejuvenation of Vladimir Krestovsky takes place.

In the Royal Square of the Capitol of Siam, he reviews the troops which are all comprised of women, which is the custom there. The Prime Minister bids Zingo and his men to visit the Royal Harem. Here they are captured by the troops and are about to be tortured to death when Sari, disguised as a colonel in the army, aids them in escaping. Episode 3: "Zingo in Africa" After returning from Asia with his jolly band of tars, laden with gold and precious stones as a reward for his clever work in recovering the Sacred White Elephant of Siam, Zingo thought he would never again feel the call of the sea, and he didn't for several months. But the wanderlust fever soon returned, and taking his wife as his sole companion, he set out for the wilds of Africa in search of fresh adventures. The two girls now become members of Zingo's party, happy to serve their gallant protector. The next day Zingo puts on his armored hunting suit to battle with hungry lions, who have been prowling about the camp. After an hour's terrific struggle with a pair of lions, Zingo returns to find his party gone, and many evidences of a struggle. Suspecting that they have been kidnapped by roving gorillas, Zingo sets off through the forest and eventually comes to the bottom of a large tree sheltering the crudely made gorilla nest. Having a smattering of monkey chatter, he quickly gains an entrance to the nest, and there discovers his wife and the girls more frightened than harmed. The good-natured gorillas listen attentively while Zingo explains that they must proceed up the Nile in their power boat, and they bid the party an affectionate farewell. During an inspection of the Pyramids, Zingo and his party encounter some knavish artists, who drug him and make love to Sari and the native girls. Zingo is boxed up and sold to a London professor as a rare specimen, and does not regain his senses until weeks later. After startling the assembled professors out of their wits, he charters an aeroplane and flies back to Egypt overnight in time to punish the cringing artists and save Sari and her servants from further insult. Then with a last fond look down the Nile River, Zingo and his party board the aeroplane and sail back to Paris. Episode 4: "Zingo's War in the Clouds" Zingo, while working and studying over the prospectus of the Eldorado Mine in his library in Paris, is visited by his faithful crew, who are restless from lying in port and beg of him to put to sea in search of new adventures. Vanquished under the sea, Fogg takes refuge in a huge motor balloon with Sari still in his power. - DirectorMario CaseriniStarsLyda BorelliMario BonnardGian Paolo RosminoLeslie Swayne, an adventurer, in order to obtain enough money to satisfy the needs of his extravagant life, has been bribed to steal the plans of the fortification from the staff officers of the Grand Duchy of Wallenstein. This undertaking, which at one time would have seemed difficult to him, becomes very easy, due to the friendship between himself and Colonel Julius Holbein, chief of the staff, and father of Elsa, for whom Swayne has shown a great deal of friendship, and in return he has Elsa's sincere love. After a dinner held at the Colonel's, during which the villain Swayne whispered sweet words of love into Elsa's ear, he succeeds in stealing the desired documents, and, protected by the darkness of the night, he escapes. Overcome by the sad reality, the Colonel is in a desperate state of mind. Elsa tries to efface from her mind her terrible suspicions, but in going to the hotel she learns of the sudden departure of Swayne, and her suspicions are confirmed. Colonel Holbein, to whom the precious document had been entrusted, is suspected as a traitor. This man shot himself for being so wrongfully accused. Elsa is asked by the Grand Duchy of Wallenstein to leave the Duchy, and is taken to one of the stations of the domain, where she is abandoned. Possessed of the qualities of a pianist and singer, under the false name of Marjorie Manners, she becomes famous. At her first performance she receives flowers from a large number of admirers, and long applause, but the memory of her father comes to her suddenly and that recollection takes away the joy of her triumph. One evening, while she is eating on the terrace of a hotel surrounded by ardent admirers, Marjorie is surprised at the sight of a young man, sad and pale like herself, who is observing her with a languid look. The pale young man is the Prince Arthur of Wallenstein, the son of the Grand Duke, who has come to the Riviera to recuperate from a long illness, under the name of Count L'Estrange. Surprised by the divine beauty and charm of Marjorie, he is a constant visitor at the theater. One morning they chance to meet and immediately they understand each other and a sense of sympathy seems to envelop their souls. They gaze into each other's eyes and seal their unspoken troth by a lingering kiss. From that day on their love becomes more intense and soon they are married. On board a ship the living apparition of the villain, Swayne, appears before them. Marjorie faints. Arthur calls for help and in the meanwhile Swayne approaches Marjorie, begging for her pardon and love. She repulses him violently, and just at that, instant Arthur returns. Swayne, to avenge himself, advises the Prince's country that the Prince amuses himself with sweet woman while the Duchy is in danger, and the Duke of Wallenstein recalls his son home. While Marjorie and Arthur are together at the hotel the message arrives, and his wife finds out who is her husband. She realizes then that she could not hide her true name any longer, and Colonel Theubner, an old friend of her poor father, tells the Prince the truth. She gets up and departs like a crazy person, and a few days later she returns to the theater which she had left. Arthur, through the Colonel, learns Elsa's history and the reason why she is compelled to go upon the stage, but in spite of this information he continues to look for her. He finds her, pale and trembling. His eyes fixed upon her from his box in the theater. Suddenly Elsa observes his look. She becomes pale, trembles, and tries to control herself, but drops to the floor. The curtain falls; the Prince hurries to her and while he feels her getting cold in his arms, he hears these feeble words, "But my love shall never die." Poor Elsa, after so many troubles and anxieties, had taken poison, as she wished to die for him upon the stage that brought her so much applause.
