Born in 1969 - A to D
I just thought it would be fun to find out who else was born in the same year I was. No sexual reference intended.
I learned how to search on a broader scale and found over 4000 people listed who were born in 1969. This will be the first of the lists.
A little FYI: There were several people who came up on the master list as having been born in 1969 and when I cut and pasted to include them they did not show up. Most of those people are part of the porn and sex entertainment genre. I am not discriminating against anyone based on life choices. I simply could not find them when I was compiling my list.

Catherine Zeta-Jones was born September 25, 1969 in Swansea, Wales (and raised in the nearby town of Mumbles), the only daughter of Patricia (nee Fair) and David James "Dai" Jones, who formerly owned a sweet factory. She attended Dumbarton House School (Swansea). Her father (the son of Bertram (1912-1970) and Zeta Davies Jones (1917-2008)) is of Welsh descent and her mother (the daughter of William (1921-2000) and Catherine O'Callaghan Fair (1920-2001) ) is of English, Irish, and Welsh ancestry. Her brothers are David Jones (born 1967), a development executive, and Lyndon Jones (born 1972), who works at her production company. Her birth name was simply Catherine Jones, but she added her paternal grandmother's name ("Zeta") so as to stand out from the many other young women with the exact same name.
She showed an interest early on in entertainment. She starred on stage in "Annie", "Bugsy Malone" and "The Pajama Game". At age 15, she had the lead in the British revival of "42nd Street". She was originally cast as the second understudy for the lead role in the musical but when the star and first understudy became sick the night the play's producer was in the audience, she was given the lead for the rest of the musical's production. She first made a name for herself in the early 1990s when she starred in the Yorkshire Television comedy/drama series The Darling Buds of May (1991). The series was a success and made her one of the United Kingdom's most popular television actresses.
She subsequently played supporting roles in several films including Christopher Columbus: The Discovery (1992), the miniseries Catherine the Great (1995) and a larger role as the seductive Sala in The Phantom (1996) before landing her breakthrough role playing the fiery Elena opposite Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas in The Mask of Zorro (1998). She starred in many big-budget blockbusters like Entrapment (1999), The Haunting (1999) and Traffic (2000), for which many believed she was robbed of an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress. She won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress as murderous vaudevillian Velma Kelly in the musical comedy Chicago (2002). She then appeared opposite George Clooney in Intolerable Cruelty (2003), Ocean's Twelve (2004) and reprised her starring role in the sequel The Legend of Zorro (2005).
In November 2000, she married actor Michael Douglas. She gave birth to their son Dylan Michael in August 2000 followed by daughter, Carys, in April 2003. She was awarded Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2010 Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services to drama.- Actress

Cate Blanchett was born on May 14, 1969 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, to June (Gamble), an Australian teacher and property developer, and Robert DeWitt Blanchett, Jr., an American advertising executive, originally from Texas. She has an older brother and a younger sister. When she was ten years old, her 40-year-old father died of a sudden heart attack. Her mother never remarried, and her grandmother moved in to help her mother.
Cate graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1992 and, in a little over a year, had won both critical and popular acclaim. On graduating from NIDA, she joined the Sydney Theatre Company's production of Caryl Churchill's "Top Girls", then played Felice Bauer, the bride, in Tim Daly's "Kafka Dances", winning the 1993 Newcomer Award from the Sydney Theatre Critics Circle for her performance. From there, Blanchett moved to the role of Carol in David Mamet's searing polemic "Oleanna", also for the Sydney Theatre Company, and won the Rosemont Best Actress Award, her second award that year. She then co-starred in the ABC Television's prime time drama Heartland (1994), again winning critical acclaim. In 1995, she was nominated for Best Female Performance for her role as Ophelia in the Belvoir Street Theatre Company's production of "Hamlet". Other theatre credits include Helen in the Sydney Theatre Company's "Sweet Phoebe", Miranda in "The Tempest" and Rose in "The Blind Giant is Dancing", both for the Belvoir Street Theatre Company. In other television roles, Blanchett starred as Bianca in ABC's Bordertown (1995), as Janie Morris in G.P. (1989) and in ABC's popular series Police Rescue (1994). She made her feature film debut in Paradise Road (1997).
Cate married writer Andrew Upton in 1997. She had met him a year earlier on a movie set, and they didn't like each other at first. He thought she was aloof, and she thought he was arrogant, but then they connected over a poker game at a party, and she went home with him that night. Three weeks later he proposed marriage and they quickly married before she went off to England to play her breakthrough role in films: the title character in Elizabeth (1998) for which she won numerous awards for her performance, including the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama. Cate was also nominated for an Academy Award for the role but lost out to Gwyneth Paltrow. 2001 was a particularly busy year, with starring roles in Bandits (2001), The Shipping News (2001), Charlotte Gray (2001) and playing Elf Queen Galadriel in the "Lord Of The Rings" trilogy. She also gave birth to her first child, son Dashiell, in 2001. In 2004, she gave birth to her second son Roman.
Also, in 2004, she played actress Katharine Hepburn in Martin Scorsese's film The Aviator (2004), for which she received an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress. Two years later, she received an Academy Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress for playing a teacher having an affair with an underage student in Notes on a Scandal (2006). In 2007, she returned to the role that made her a star in Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007). It earned her an Oscar nomination as Best Actress. She was nominated for another Oscar that same year as Best Supporting Actress for playing Bob Dylan in I'm Not There (2007). In 2008, she gave birth to her third child, son Ignatius. She and her husband became artistic directors of the Sydney Theatre Company, choosing to spend more time in Australia raising their three sons. She also purchased a multi-million dollar home in Sydney, Australia and named it Bulwarra and made extensive renovations to it. Because of her life in Australia, her film work became sporadic, until Woody Allen cast her in the title role in Blue Jasmine (2013), which won her the Academy Award as Best Actress. She ended her job as artistic director of the Sydney Theatre Company, while her husband continued there for two more years before he too resigned.
In 2015, she adopted her daughter Edith in her father's homeland of the United States. That same year, she and her husband sold their multi-million dollar home in Australia at a profit and moved to America. Reasons varied from her wanting to work more in America to wanting to familiarize herself with her late father's American heritage. She played the title role of Carol (2015), a 1950s American housewife in a lesbian affair with a younger woman, for which she received an Oscar nomination as Best Actress. While most actresses might slow down in their forties, Blanchett did the opposite by stretching her boundaries even further, such as when she played 13 different characters in Manifesto (2015) and then making her Broadway debut in 2017 in "The Present", which is her husband's adaptation of Chekhov's play "Platonov" for which she earned a Tony nomination as Best Actress in a Play. Also in 2017, she was selected for the highest honor in her birth country: the Companion of the Order of Australia (AC).- Actor

Donald Edmond "Donnie" Wahlberg Jr. was born on August 17, 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts into a family of Swedish (from his paternal grandfather), Irish, and more distant French-Canadian, English, and Scottish, descent. He is the eighth of nine children of Alma Elaine Conroy (née Donnelly), a nurse's aide and clerk & Donald Edward Wahlberg, a delivery driver. His parents eventually divorced and Donnie, finding himself already in trouble, discovered a positive outlet performing in school plays and became involved in varied aspects of theater -- acting, writing, and directing. At 15, he became a member of the teen vocal group originally called NYNUK. Donnie's little brother, Mark Wahlberg was originally one of the Boys but balked at the direction the group was taking and backed out.
A founding member of the boy band "New Kids on the Block," the five teens survived a false start with their debut album and proceeded to hit #1 with the single "Please Don't Go Girl" on their second in 1988. They continued to bombard the market with one-after-another "Top Ten" hits including "The Right Stuff" and "I'll Be Loving You Forever." Leaving the young girls panting for more, they became one of the hottest young singing/line-dancing groups to hit the late 80s/early 90s. The Boys went on to sell over 70 million albums worldwide, and provoke the spawning of other five-member harmony groups such as Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC. During its heyday, Donnie played up his resident "bad boy" persona by tallying up several run-ins with the law, including an alleged arson at a Kentucky hotel (charges were dropped). He also delved into "body art" with numerous tattoos and body piercings in an effort to buck their already-cloying image. Amid intergroup dissension and Milli Vanilli-like charges of not contributing all the vocals to their albums, the pop band finally disbanded in 1994 -- partly out of frustration but also having outgrown the group's juvenile moniker.
Unsure of his direction while attracting more trouble in the tabloids, Donnie, who helped write, arrange and produce brother Mark's Funky Bunch group's first two albums a few years earlier, switched gears. He rapped some and modeled some, then transformed himself into an actor, a route taken earlier by his talented bro. While Mark has turned out to become the bigger film star over the years, Donnie has stepped out of his shadows to receive raves and renewed respect for his own tense and compelling character work.
He first showed up in big screen action. Making his debut as a "tough guy" thug in the Mickey Rourke urban outing Bullet (1996), filmed in 1994 but not released until two years later. Usually cast as an amoral heavy, Donnie moved up the quality ladder with director Ron Howard's thriller Ransom (1996) as part of a gang of kidnappers who nab Mel Gibson's son, to their eventual regret, of course. His next repellent took the form of a drug dealer in the goth indie horror Black Circle Boys (1997), but the film came and went. After a couple of TV movies, he finally nabbed a starring role in the film Southie (1998) playing more or less himself as an Irish-American prodigal son who returns to the mean streets of his native Boston. The movie also featured another brother Robert Wahlberg who also was testing the acting waters.
Ironically, one of Donnie's most powerful roles during this period was also one of his briefest. Seen in the opening sequence, he is nearly unrecognizable (having dropped an alarming amount of weight) portraying a deranged former patient of psychiatrist Bruce Willis whose sudden explosion into unfathomable violence sets up the clever twists and turns that turned M. Night Shyamalan's classic psychological thriller The Sixth Sense (1999) into a critically-acclaimed box office hit. Donnie's opening bit was mouth dropping and jarring in its horror. He also proved he wasn't a flash in the pan by backing up this performance with a major role as a WWII paratrooper in the critically-hailed ten-part epic Band of Brothers (2001), which won multiple Emmy awards (6).
This TV role directly led to his casting as a gritty L.A. detective in the NBC dramatic series Boomtown (2002), an acclaimed series that didn't survive a second season. Since then Donnie has patented his unrefined intensity into a number of films such as Triggermen (2002), Dreamcatcher (2003), Saw II (2005), Annapolis (2006), Saw III (2006), Saw IV (2007) and Zookeeper (2011). He has also clocked in lead roles for such roughhewn TV series as Runaway (2006), The Kill Point (2007), Return of the Mac (2017) and, most notably, as detective Danny Reagan in Blue Bloods (2010).
Donny has two sons, Xavier and Elijah, by first wife Kim Fey, and is married to actress/producer/writer Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg. As a former teen heartthrob seemingly headed down a troubled and dangerous path after his initial success, he somehow managed to avoid the traditional pitfalls of drugs and self-destruction, and has since proven himself an actor with "the right stuff." In addition, the "New Kids on the Block" reteamed in 2007 in recording and book tours. The group received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2014.- Producer

Darren Aronofsky was born February 12, 1969, in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up, Darren was always artistic: he loved classic movies and, as a teenager, he even spent time doing graffiti art. After high school, Darren went to Harvard University to study film (both live-action and animation). He won several film awards after completing his senior thesis film, "Supermarket Sweep", starring Sean Gullette, which went on to becoming a National Student Academy Award finalist. Aronofsky didn't make a feature film until five years later, in February 1996, where he began creating the concept for Pi (1998). After Darren's script for Pi (1998) received great reactions from friends, he began production. The film re-teamed Aronofsky with Gullette, who played the lead. This went on to further successes, such as Requiem for a Dream (2000), The Wrestler (2008) and Black Swan (2010). Most recently, he completed the films Noah (2014) and Mother! (2017).- Actress

David Michael Bautista, Jr. was born on January 18, 1969 in Washington, D.C., to Donna Raye (Mullins) and David Michael Bautista, a hairdresser. He has Filipino and Greek ancestry.
When WCW officials told him he'd never make it in sports entertainment, Bautista pushed himself to achieve his dream of being a Superstar. In May 2002, he made his debut on SmackDown using the ring name Batista, but it wasn't until a move to Raw and two victories over Kane that "The Animal" began to make noise in the WWE Universe. The wins impressed Ric Flair and Triple H, who were looking to align themselves with the industry's brightest new stars. After a lengthy search, they identified Randy Orton and Batista. Collectively the four Superstars became known as Evolution.
Batista earned his first championship alongside "The Nature Boy" when the duo captured the WWE Tag Team Championships in December 2003. As Evolution dominated WWE, Batista started to emerge from the shadows of Triple H and Ric Flair. By the time Batista won the 2005 Royal Rumble Match, World Heavyweight Champion Triple H viewed him as a serious threat to his title.
After a triceps injury at the hands of Mark Henry forced Batista to relinquish the title in January 2006, he vowed to return. Batista successfully regained the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series in 2006. Four months into his second reign, Batista faced the Undertaker at WrestleMania 23. "The Animal" took Undertaker to the limit, but was unable to stop the streak of "The Deadman" at WrestleMania. Though disappointed, Batista stayed hungry and always managed to keep himself in the championship hunt for the rest of his career.
At Bragging Rights in 2009, Batista shocked the world when he blamed Rey Mysterio for a loss to Undertaker, then attacked his former tag team partner. "The Animal" then became locked in a tense rivalry with another former friend, John Cena, over the WWE Championship. The grueling match at Over the Limit led to a wheelchair-bound Batista declaring "I quit!" the following night on Raw before fading from the WWE Universe in May 2010. Following his departure from WWE, Bautista appeared opposite Vin Diesel in the Universal film Riddick (2013) and RZA's feature directorial debut The Man with the Iron Fists (2012), in which he played the villainous Brass Body and starred opposite Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu. His other film credits include The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption (2012), where he played Argomael; the action film House of the Rising Sun (2011); and Wrong Side of Town (2010) opposite rapper Ja Rule.
Two years later, he joined MMA and won his first professional MMA fight. In January 2014, he made his long awaited return to the WWE, before quitting a second time in June of that same year. He did this in order to promote Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), which was released on August 1, 2014, and starred Chris Pratt, Benicio Del Toro, Zoe Saldana, and Djimon Hounsou, alongside Bautista.
He will shoot Kickboxer: Vengeance (2016), directed by John Stockwell, and co-starring martial artist Alain Moussi and UFC fighter Georges St-Pierre. The remake of the 1989 Jean-Claude Van Damme film, Kickboxer (1989) is about two brothers David and Kurt Sloan; When David wins the Karate World Championship, a promoter lures him to Hong Kong, despite his brother's protestations that the man is a crook. When Kurt travels to Thailand to meet his brother, he discovers he has died and seeks his revenge.
After starring in films such as, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Hotel Artemis (2018), Escape Plan 2: Hades (2018), and Final Score (2018), he made a special guest appearance on WWE Smackdown! (1999) for it's 1000 episode reuniting with his former Evolution members Triple H, Randy Orton, and Ric Flair on October 16, 2018. The following year on February 25, 2019, he made his return to WWE Raw (1993) when he attacked Ric Flair on his 70th birthday at the end of the episode sending a message to Triple H that would ultimately lead to a No Holds Barred match for WrestleMania 35 (2019). Batista added the stipulation that if he wins the match, Triple H will have to retire from in-ring competition. As a result, Triple H was finally able to beat Batista for the first time and won the match, which ultimately led to Batista announcing his official retirement from wrestling in the WWE. Following his retirement, he will continue with his career as an actor in Hollywood.
His next films scheduled for release will be; Stuber (2019), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Escape Plan: The Extractors (2019), and My Spy (2020). He is one of many professional wrestlers to make the smooth transition from wrestling into the entertainment world.- Actor

Born in January, 1969, she's the daughter of August Gil Matamala, a prestigious lawyer. Grew up studying singing, dancing and the violin. She even appeared occasionally singing with her two brothers in their banda named "Matamala". At 17, she appeared on the cover of an avant-garde Catalonian magazine and from there she began working in local theatre companies and on local Catalonian TV channels, including giving Catalan language classes on Canal 33. It was here where she caught the eye of Bigas Luna, which led to Lola (1986), her first film and, thus, her future was set. It was in 1991 that she became well-known in the film Amo tu cama rica (1992), a comedy with Javier Bardem, consolidated a year later in Fernando Trueba's romantic comedy Belle Epoque (1992), starring Penélope Cruz. However, her better and more serious roles appeared from the mid-nineties onwards, and she showed she was able to take on the most difficult parts, most notably in Malena es un nombre de tango (1996) and Lágrimas negras (1998). She also had time to do a few theatre productions in Catalonia, such as Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull", among other plays. She has a daughter, Violeta Rodríguez, named after her character in Belle Epoque (1992), born from her romance with the director David Trueba. She is extremely interested in working in Iberamerican cinema and has already worked in Argentina. To date, she has shown she is an extremely versatile actress, such that she is known here in Spain as the actress for "impossible roles". Much now depends on whether she can be offered the right parts so that she can continue to develop as a serious character actress.- Actor

Aleks Paunovic was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to a Croatian mother and Serbian father. The result of this remarkable blend of bloodlines is the 6'5" ruggedly handsome actor appearing on screens around the world at a rapidly escalating rate.
Acting came to Aleks while he was onstage in his hometown playing in a heavy metal band, his livelihood since he was 16. Remarkably the role offered was one completely against type as it was that of Roddy McDowall's butler in the 1994 TV movie 'Heads'. Now bitten with the acting bug, Aleks combined his athleticism from his lifetime of boxing - he claims that he started boxing in the womb as all of the men in his family are boxers - and turned it into a very busy career as a stunt actor.
In 2001 Aleks stopped in Vancouver on his way to Los Angeles with an impressive resume and ready to take on Hollywood when the most horrible event in America's recent history struck. 911 changed the way anyone could enter the states and so Aleks found himself a new home and career in busy Vancouver.
Since coming to Vancouver Aleks has built an amazing resume with over 100 credits, most of which are lead and recurring roles like the one that he has on this hugely anticipated 4th season of 'Continuum'.
Aleks credits three occurrences as the game-changers in his rocketing career: One was when the venerable acting coach Larry Moss called him out in front of 300 actors, telling him that he had massive talent and demanding to see his full range; another was when he respectfully declined an offer for a 4-episode-arc on a highly-rated TV series so that he could finish his run as 'Danny' in the play "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea" in a shaky old theatre to sold-out crowds.
But the biggest catalyst in Aleks's career was when he fought three rounds of casting throughout all of Los Angeles and Vancouver to win the role of 'Tom', a developmentally disabled man accused of murder in 'Personal Effects' starring Ashton Kutcher, Michelle Pfieffer, and Kathy Bates. Aleks put on 65 pounds to perform the role, which was one of the most challenging and rewarding roles of his career so far.
When you meet Aleks, or you watch him perform these difficult roles, you just know that with all of that leading man charisma there's star power in this man, and that you will be seeing a lot more of Aleks Paunovic.- Actor

David Strickland was born in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York, on October 14, 1969. Raised in Princeton, New Jersey, he never thought about an acting career until moving to the LA suburb of Pacific Palisades while in high school. Instead of going to college, he joined a theater company and began performing comedy sketches that he wrote along with a friend. To gain some acting experience, Strickland also participated in 64 student films. His stage credits include Biloxi Bluesues, Bye Birdie, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Pizza Man, and I Won't Dance. He went on to earn guest-starring roles on Roseanne (1988) and Dave's World (1993), as well as recurring roles on Sister, Sister (1994) and Mad About You (1992) (as Paul Reiser's backstabbing co-worker at the Explorer Channel). When not acting, his pastimes included golf, making fruit smoothies, and playing "a mean game of paddle-tennis." He will best be remembered by TV fans for his co-starring role of Todd, the magazine's music critic, on the NBC sitcom Suddenly Susan (1996) (which stars Brooke Shields). Recent movie achievements, before his untimely death, included a lead role in the independent film Delivered (1998) (a dark comedy directed by Guy Ferland) and the role of 'Steve' in the hit movie Forces of Nature (1999).- Actress

Duncan Scott Sheik was born on November 18, 1969, in Montclair, New Jersey. His mother was single, so he was raised by her and his grandparents in Hilton Head, South Carolina. He has one younger sister. His father lives in New Jersey. Duncan was raised Catholic, but converted to Buddhism later in life. He is a very serious practicing Buddhist and has been for around 15 years. Duncan got started playing music at a very early age, and was playing the piano at age five. He later mastered the guitar, and was in a cover band, called Slightly Off, at age twelve. During his teen years, Duncan was in boarding school and frequently had his musical instruments confiscated for playing too loud. Duncan attended and graduated from Brown University in 1992. He didn't want to major in Music because he didn't want his education to influence his musical style. Duncan majored in Semiotics, the study of signs and symbols, instead. Sheik didn't seriously consider music until college, when he was in Lisa Lobe's band Liz and Lisa as her lead guitarist.
Following graduation, he drove across the country to Los Angeles where he shopped around his demo tape. This began what is referred to as Duncan's "Lost California Years." He was signed to a $100,000 contract with the rappy-type label Immortal Records. The contract went nowhere, and Duncan rotted in limbo for two years. During this time, he was miserable and passed the time by writing songs. He was freed from this musical hell in 1994 when Atlantic Records recognized his considerable talent and bought him off of Immortal.
The rest, as they say, is history. Duncan released his self-titled debut album, Duncan Sheik, on June 4, 1996 to glowing reviews. He even earned a four out of five star rating from the prestigious Rolling Stone. The single from it, "Barely Breathing," became the fourth longest running top 100 single in Billboard history after being listed for 55 weeks. His self-titled album later went gold. Duncan's second album, Humming, was released on October 6, 1998. The first single from it, "Bite Your Tongue," quickly became the most requested track in the country. Humming earned glowing reviews, earning Duncan the status of the most important new singer-songwriter of the decade.
On February 27, 2001, Duncan released his third album, Phantom Moon, on the label Nonesuch Records. Phantom Moon is a primarily acoustic project that came out of Duncan's collaboration with New York playwright Steven Sater. Duncan and Steven both belong to the New York branch of Soka Gakkai International (SGI) and started working together when Steven asked Duncan to write the music for a play he was working on. Steven faxed Duncan lyrics and Duncan wrote the music to them. They came up with about 17 songs, and Duncan decided to make a record out of them. He brought it to Ron Shapiro, the General Manager of Atlantic Records, who suggested that they release it on Atlantic Records' partner label, Nonesuch.- Actress

Candy Dulfer is a woman that can blow some serious sax. She was born on September 19, 1969 in The Netherlands, and is the daughter of sax legend Hans Dulfer. Thanks to him, she studied the works of many other jazz legends and learned the craft. At the age of 12, she played with American saxophonist Rosa King, who she has thanked for "showing her the way". It wasn't too long after that when she formed her own band called Funky Stuff, whom Madonna requested for back up on her European tours. But if there are two people she is really thankful for her getting her a break in the music business, it would be Prince and David A. Stewart. Prince had made her the center of attention for his video "Partyman" (she played a solo in the video), and she played backup on another one of his albums. Dave Stewart recruited her to play sax on the title tune for the Dutch Film, Lily Was Here (1989). This lead to a record deal with Arista, and her debut album, 'Saxuality' (on which the tune "Lily Was Here" is featured along with a remix of the song by DNA). The album was a hit among the "smooth jazz" crowd. She continued in 1993 by releasing her second 'Sax-A-Go-Go'. The album featured a song written by Prince, along with remakes of other tunes. After this, Candy went back to The Netherlands to release the album, 'Big Girl' in 1996. Her next album, 'For The Love Of You' followed in 1997 in which she showed her versatility by singing on a few of the tracks. In 1999, she released 'What Does It Take'. The album got critical praise and many said it rivals 'Saxuality' as one of her best. 'Right In My Soul' was released in 2003, on which she also sings. Candy continues to have a huge fan base in The Netherlands and Europe, while having a loyal following in the United States (which includes former president Bill Clinton).- Actor

At the age of 4 years old she sang the Portuguese national anthem at her home in Montijo, a small town located in front of Lisbon on the other side of the river Tejo. Daughter of Lourdes and the bookkeeper Tomás Pontes, she was born on the 8th of April of 1969, year in which, in the field of music, the prodigious decade of sixties was powering down with the mythic Woodstock festival, the last recordings of The Beatles ('Abbey Road' and it's famous sleeve of the zebra crossing) and the murder of an African American member of the audience in Altamont by the "Hell's Angels", the security staff that The Rolling Stones contracted. The young Dulce, completely foreign to all those rock music events that was trying to change the world, but that should have woke-up from this dream with the violent decade of seventies, was just starting to walk in the last years of "salazarismo", in a isle and back warded Portugal. She was introduced to the fado tradition for her uncle Carlos Pontes, also bullfights lover. He was her maestro. At seven years old she started to attend the Conservatorio Nacional de Música of Lisbon and the piano was her favourite instrument and where she studied until the forth year. During those years she listened to classical music as such as Portuguese and English popular music. During her adolescence she dedicated for a short period to learn modern dance, but her teachers told that she was too old to become a dancer so she definitely decided to be a musician. In Montijo she became the leader of a urban rock band The "percapita", an amateur project without any aspirations for the future. The first professionals experiences came up when the young singer was chosen among various applicants, to substitute the main actress of the musical 'Enfim Sos", in November 1988. The rehearse was done at Namouche studios where Dulce will know her future first producer Guillherme Ines, a prestigious musician who collaborates among others with Zeca Afonso. She got her first musical contract. After have been the leading actress of another musical, she was invited at TV programs, recording of commercial advertising's and shows at Estoril Casino, where Dulce got the attention for the quality of her voice, her interpretations of fado and Shirley Bassey's themes. The appreciations of the public began with the TV show 'Regresso ao passado', where she sang song of sixties, among them 'The fool on the hill' of Lennon and McCartney. She did her first decisive step at the Eurovison in 1991 where she won the competition with the song 'Lusitana Paixao' , a soul ballad but with a clear homage to fado in its text. This success gave her the passport to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Festival that took place in the same year in Rome (at Cinecitta), where she obtained the 8th place (the best ranking Portugal has ever obtained till that edition) and the critics award for the best performance.
The following year she published her first CD 'Lusitana' following pop music style. Is 1993 when she decided to begin her real musical course with the CD 'Lagrimas'. The new meeting with Guillherme Ines will brings to a new result after a large work of recordings in which the fado and the music of Zeca Afonso, the two sides of the Portuguese music, lived together in a space that until that moment was prohibited for ideological reasons. Amalia Rodriguea and the author of 'Grandola Vila Morena' became her reference point of Portuguese music, although in this work we can begin to see Maghribian and Bulgarian influences, and the synthesizers replaced the Portuguese guitar in various songs. The reinterpretation of 'Cançao do mar' was going to be during the next years the most universal Portuguese song of all times and with more international versions. The song was part of the soundtrack of the Brazilian soap opera 'As pupilas do Senhor Reitor' (1994). The same interpretation of this song of Ferrer Trindade was the main theme of the soundtrack of the movie 'Primal fear' (1996), of Gregory Hoblit, with Richard Gere and Edward Norton as main characters.
The most important thing Dulce Pontes obtained with 'Lagrimas' it was to stimulate a sociological effect that has no precedents, such as re-discover the fado when it was dying and the new generation was not interested in it. It is not possible to conceive the new-fado of this first decade of XXI century without the decisive contribution of the singer from Montijo. First Madredeus, with other style, and than Dulce Pontes, leaded the popularization of the music sang in Portuguese language trough all the world.
Dulce began to perform in international tours, traveling all over Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, German, Italy, U.S.A., Japan, Brazil. The Italian composer Ennio Morricone, in 1995, invited the singer to sing the theme 'A brisa do coraçao', as part of the soundtrack of the movie 'Sostiene Pereira' of Roberto Faenza, with Marcello Mastroianni as main character in one of his last performances before he died.
The collaboration between Pontes and Morricone strengthened forward and had its climax with a CD signed by both artists. In the vortex of this spectacular success (more than 300.000 records sold) she recorded in 1995 the double live CD 'A brisa do coraçao' live recorded into the Coliseu of Porto.
'Caminhos', in 1996, was her last step with the Movieplay editor. The CD was recorded in four countries and there was the collaboration of Carlos Nunez, Leonardo Amuedo and Xiradela. But Dulce was not convinced about the production, because the CD was recorded among airports and concerts, the artist's aim was a change of path: a more natural and acoustic sound that she developed in her following projects. 'O Infante' that opens the CD is an incredibly inspired Pontes' composition on a Fernando Pessoa's poem.
In 1997 Dulce Pontes did an almost permanent tour and she performed in the concert 'Yes for Europe', broad-casted by seventeen TV channels, in the World Food Day organized by the FAO in Rome, in the concert for the 52nd United Nations anniversary celebration, in New York, at the concert for Amnesty International in Madrid. In 1998 she gave her own concert for first time in U.S.A. and Canada, and than went, as guest artist, with the Irish group The Chieftains, as clearly requested Paddy Maloney, to their North American tour of that year. She performed at the First Solidarity Festival of Barcelona, where she knew Elvis Costello. Italy became her second international market after the Spanish one. In the same year she recorded the duet 'O mar e tu' together with Andrea Bocelli. At Lisbon Expo in 1998 she gave two concerts, the second one with an audience of 30.000 people. In the same year she was invited as guest to sing with Cesaria Évora and with the Brazilian singer Marisa Monte. After her great participation in the first CD of the Galician bagpipe and flute player Carlos Nunez 'A irmandade das estrelas', another major Spanish musician, the Basque accordionist Kepa Junkera, asked for her because he wanted her voice in two songs 'Matia nun zira' and the classic from Cabo Verde 'Sodade' in the CD 'Bilbao 00.00 H'.
She was the author of the soundtrack of the fiction documentary 'Curiua Catu - A grande Expedicao de Pedro Teixeira', a Portuguese-Brazilian co-production directed for Carlos Barreto, that tells the adventures of this explorer who, in the XVII century explored a good part of the Amazon, succeeding in annexing the forest to Portuguese colonial territory of that period. Her composer side is beginning to spread.
In the month of February and March 1999 she recorded one of her fundamental masterpiece 'O primeiro canto' at Helioscentric studios in London. It was the first CD she produced herself with the help of Antonio Pinheiro da Silva and that was published at the end of September with Universal. The Uruguayan guitarist Leonardo Amuedo will be the co-author of some themes together with Dulce. In this work she unblocked all her talent as a composer. Wayne Shorter, Jaques Morelembaum, Trilok Gurtu, Justin Vali, Kepa Junkera, Waldemar Bastos, Maria Joao, Gemma Bertagnolli, Myrdhin, Anders Norude (of Hedningarna), Hubert Jan Hubeek, among more famous other artists will share Dulce's talent in this CD, about the four natural elements, and that let her conquer the Jose Afonso award in the year 2000. The CD was launched in two tours in Spain and Netherlands. She received the new of the death of Amalia Rodrigues while she was in Barcelona. She sent a deep release to the media. At the Auditori of the Catalan Capital she respected a minute of silence before she started the concert. In this same year Dulce gave a concert together with Caetano Veloso at Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo and she led an ambitious tour in historical monuments of Portugal. Among the public there was an unknown Mariza who didn't miss any concert.
She performed at Hannover Expo, ended an open air 'world' Festival near Brussels, performed at Istambul and went back to Tokio.
In 2001 Dulce's friendship with Ennio Morricone emphasizes and she took part as guest at the Barbican Theatre of London, at the Arena of Verona, at the Accademia Nazionale of Santa Cecilia of Rome, among other auditoriums.
She put her voice for the Italian-Spanish co-production 'La luz prodigiosa' , whose author was Ennio Morricone and that won the 25th International Cinema Festival of Moscow. In September she canceled her official tour in U.S.A. on doctor's order because she was on her 5th month of pregnancy. In the occasion of the birth of her first son Jose Gabriel, she dedicates the year 2002 to her recent motherhood and she paused her artistic career. When she came back to performances Maestro Ennio Morricone invites her again. In to Forum studios in Rome, during the spring of 2003, they recorded the CD 'Focus' where the artist sang the still famous themes of the italian composer, and some new songs specially composed for her. The result of this work was performed in concert in halls like the Royal Albert Hall of London, the Arena of Verona, the Auditorium parco della Musica of Rome, at the Mazda Palace of Milan, the Congress Palace of Paris and the International Forum Hall of Tokio. In Spain the record was near to be gold record (45.000 copies).
Finally she performed with her own concert at the Barbican Theatre of London in the month of October of the same year.
In June 2004, the Lisbon City Hall invites Dulce Pontes, Ennio Morricone and the Roma Sinfonietta Orchestra to give a concert. About this project Morricone said:" I knew that the final result should have been a success, but I never imagined that all this experience should have been so exceptional ". The concert took place at the Monsanto Park. In that same year Dulce Pontes obtained the Amigo award for the best latin performer from the Spanish Asociacion Fonografica y Videografica, and the International award Tenco, awarded from the Italian Club Luigi Tenco, the same prize that was given to artists such as Jacques Brel, Ute Lemper, Tom Waits, Caetano Veloso, Joan Manuel Serrat. Sergio Godinho together with Dulce are the only two Portuguese artists that received such award. Dulce received the award as 'Cultural Operator' for the recovery of Zeca Afonso And Amalia Rodrigues work, "for her sensible and honest interpretation inside of the best musical and poetic Portuguese tradition". At the award ceremony Dulce was introduced as a 'new fado craftswoman'.
Spain is becoming her first market and between 2004 and 2005 she gave more than 60 concerts. Madrid is the town of the world where she has performed most.
Her artistic maturity, reached without any doubt, became more active and curious. She goes on with the research of detailed associations for special projects, like the event 'Fado Tango' , where Dulce Pontes divided the scenario of the Centro Cultural de Belem in Lisbon with the Argentinian poet and historian Horacio Ferrer, who, together with Astor Piazzolla, have revolutionized the Argentinian Tango. About Dulce's performance of his song 'Balada para un Loco' the poet said: "She recreated it in a such way that, for the first time, I am beginning to learn something of my own song. This work is a confidence and she succeeded in performing the poet... ".
Greece became a Country that acclaims to the singer with passion and her performances at Athens and Thessalonica are real milestones. The famous singer George Dalaras, one of the most prestigious artist of this Country, invited her at the Greek Festival in 2005, at the Herodes Atticus Odeon at the Acropoli. About that concert it was published the CD 'Mediterraneo' in which Dulce sings in six songs and the same Dulce awarded Dalaras with the platinum record in a ceremony that took place in Athens. She was working at her new double CD untitled 'O coracao tem tres portas', that it has been recorded live during the new tour 'Por dentro do fado', where the artist recovered her love and a new perspective about this genre, and a second CD recorded into the Santa Maria's Church of Obidos and into the Convento de Cristo of Tomar, with rapprochements of Fado to classic music, folk and medieval sounds.
Her first official U.S.A. tour took place during the recordings of this CD in the October 2005. The musical reviewers praised the artist on prestigious publications such as 'The Boston Globe' or the Los Angeles 'Variety', where the writer Phil Gallo defined her as a mix between Ella Fitzgerald and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
In December 2006 'O coracao tem tres portas' (double CD and a DVD) was launched on the market in Portugal self edited for Dulce Pontes, after having ended her contract with Universal. The CD will be gold record and received best reviews of the international specialized press such as 'Songlines' or enter in the European World Music Charts top-20. A part of the music of the CD n. 2 was sed for the Spanish director Alberto Luna for the documentary 'Juan de Castillo, el constructor del mundo'. In that same year she made her second U.S.A. tour and made her debut at the prestigious Carnegie Hall of New York with a great success. John Pareles, reviewer of the 'The New York Times', wrote: "Miss Pontes has an extraordinary voice: intense and faithful, delicate and strong, with a length like a natural soprano". And added to his praiseworthy commentary: "Pontes was surprised about she succeeded in managing the public of the Carneige Hall, when she invited them to sing and the public smiled. And also, when she sang with tears and sorrow, she passed them happiness, sign of a characteristic Portuguese inheritance".
The organization of the "New Seven World Wonders" asked to Dulce Pontes to compose the official Anthem that she recorded together with the Spanish Tenor Jose Carreras. The event was performed at Estadio da Luz of Lisbon, and was one of the most seen TV transmission of the history. The year 2007 ended with a tremendous performance at the 'Aula Magna' of Caracas and another one in Paris, but she also put a musical "brooch" at the Signature of the Tratado de Lisboa into the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos cloister.
The year 2008 begins of course with live concerts. Stands out her performance at Festival Cultural de Zacatecas (Mexico) where she shared the list with Bob Dylan, and her first concert in Moscow at the International House of Music. During the summer there was the Spanish tour together with the Spanish flamenco singer Estrella Morente. 'Dulce Estrella' brought more than 50.000 persons in the various concerts they gave, where the music of both Countries where twinned. Estrella Morente repeated many times, to the media, that Dulce "es mi maestra" ("is my maestro"). And at the beginning of the 2009, the artist from Montijo became mother once more, this time she had a daugther named Maria, so she celebrated her 20 years with music with the editing of the double CD 'Momentos' with inhedited material and some new versions of songs like 'Cancao do mar', 'Lsgrima' and 'O Infante'. The CD was published in Portugal reaching the gold record. Some days after the paunch of this new CD Dulce was invited as guest, together with Juliette Greco and Randy Crowford, at the opening ceremony of the Wiener Festwochen in Vienna. In September she performed in a concert at the Herodes Atticus Odeon of Athens together with the Spanish flamenco guitarist Paco Pena and the greek Bouzouki player Thanassis Polykandriotis, in an event where they mixed together the most representative musical styles of their own Countries. A month later she collaborated with the U.S.A. composer and Grammy Winner 2010 Christopher Tin, at the CD 'Calling all dawns' recording the song "Se e pra vir que venha". The music was played by the Royal Philarmonic Orchestra, that recorded at the mythic Abbey Road Studios of London. A time later, the song 'Fado Morna da Cirandaia' that Dulce composed together with Beto Betuk, was included into the prestigious compilation "Muzyka Swiata: Siesta 5" that Universal Poland publishes each year. The year ended with the important performance of Dulce Pontes at a record homage of Latin American female singers to Joan Manuel Serrat, with the version of 'Bendita Musica'.
The 2010 year started with new spirit and the international edition of 'Momentos' . The German Editor Galileo Music has the most part of the rights and Spain is one of the Countries where this label will distribute the CD starting from March. The changes of this version are in the cover and the style of the inlay booklet. Dulce Pontes also renewed her live performances in Galicia in February, than she went on in Spain at Catalonia, with a concert in Girona and another one at the mythical Palau de la Musica of Barcelona and after two years she met again italian public in Lecce. Without doubt she is at present, the best Portuguese and one of the most important singer of the world.- Writer

Bernard Fanning was born 15 August, 1969. He was heavily influenced by musicians such as David Bowie and The Beatles. During his college years at the University of Queensland he met Ian Haug and joined the band Powderfinger, named after a Neil Young song. At the time, Haug was the singer and he soon gave up duties because Bernard showed much more promise with his vocal abilities. Soon the final Powderfinger five were in place, with Fanning on vocals, Haug and Darren Middleton on guitar, Jon Coghill on the drums, and John Collins on the bass guitar. The band began by playing pubs and biker bars around their home city of Brisbane, Queensland, mainly doing covers of influences The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Steppenwolf, and Neil Young; while also implementing their own originals.
Since those days in the early 1990s the band has released three EPs (the "Blue EP, Tranfusion," and "Mr. Kneebone"), all at the front end of their catalogue. They released their debut album "Parables for Wooden Ears" in 1994 to Australia on Polydor Records. The album is now considered a rush move. 1996's "Double Allergic" was where the band gained a big following around their homeland. The album was much more original than Parables' material and the band had potential singles on the disc, something their first album lacked. The vocals on the album had improved to a point where lead singer Fanning could show off his unique talent as a vocalist. He was able to get political messages across through the lyrics and was actually being heard by Australian press who were listening to the band now more than ever before.
With 1998's "Internationalist," Powderfinger took another turn. Evolving from their hard rock roots of Parables to Double Allergic's simple and direct groove, this time it became a sound possibly as close to The Beatles' Abbey Road as you may find today. The songs could simply be described as "pop rock", but the album was put together so well and crafted with such flawlessness that it is truly a classic, some arguing it is the best album in Australian history. "The Day You Come", the album's first single, a political tune, won Song of the Year at Australia's annual music awards, the ARIAs..
In 2000, Powderfinger released their fourth disc, "Odyssey Number Five", an album that went absolutely huge in Australia. Odyssey was helped by the incredibly catchy first single "My Happiness" and songs such as "These Days" (Two Hands soundtrack) and "My Kind of Scene" (MI:2 soundtrack). The album won many awards and the band finally got its chance overseas, releasing the disc all over the globe and later touring with Coldplay through the US in early February 2001, selling out shows due to Coldplay's rise to fame.
Since Odyssey Number Five's success, Fanning and Powderfinger have settled down a bit from touring and promotion. They took some much needed time off in the second half of 2002 and tied up some ends with solo and side projects, guitarist Middleton singing with the band Drag on the "Gas, Food, Lodging EP", released in June of 2002 and Fanning recording songs for two Australian movie soundtracks, Dirty Deeds (2002) and Ned Kelly (2003) (even making a cameo appearance singing one of the songs in the Heath Ledger vehicle).
Powderfinger recently finished recording their fifth album in Sydney, Australia with American producer Nick DiDia (Internationalist and Odyssey). The untitled new disc is due in Australia 7 July, 2003 and will be released sometime in the US and UK after that date, but no official word yet.- Producer

Antonin Svoboda was born in 1969. He is a producer and director, known for The Edukators (2004), Forever Never Anywhere (2007) and Cry Baby, Cry (2017).- Born 10 May 1969 in Amsterdam, Dennis Bergkamp learned his sublime football skills at the legendary Ajax youth academy. His favourite player, though, was England international Glenn Hoddle. He made his debut for Ajax in December 1986 and remained with the club until 1993, when he joined Italy's Inter Milan for two seasons. His next move was to Arsenal FC, England, where he has remained ever since.
He made his international debut in September 1990 and throughout the '90s was an almost permanent fixture in the Dutch team. He played in the UEFA European Championship of 1992, when Holland lost to eventual winners Denmark in a penalty shootout. He was a member of the Dutch side that participated in the 1994 FIFA World Cup and progressed to the quarter-finals, only to lose to eventual winners Brazil 3-2 in the best match of the tournament that year. Two years later, Bergkamp and Holland had a very poor European Championship, getting comprehensively beaten by England at Wembley in the group stage and then being knocked out by France in another penalty shootout. At the 1998 World Cup, Holland were back to their best. They progressed to the semi-finals, the best performance by a Dutch team in a World Cup since 1978, before losing to Brazil again. Euro' 2000 was Bergkamp's final tournament as a Dutch international and, although Holland progressed to the semi-finals, Bergkamp himself had a relatively poor tournament and failed to score a goal.
Bergkamp finished his international career as Holland's record goalscorer, with 37 goals from 79 matches. Six of his goals were in World Cups. Despite never winning a trophy at international level, he will be remembered as one of Holland's greatest ever footballers. - Writer

David Lee Hefner was born unexpectedly on December 16, 1969 at 5:27 pm, in Lynwood, California. At the time of David's birth, there was already a newborn in the family - Dan Hefner, David's identical twin brother, born just two minutes earlier! Because the twins were back-to-back in the womb (resulting in only one heart-beat that could be heard with a stethoscope), under weight in size, and born in an era before obstetric ultrasonography, David's arrival was a pleasant surprise to his parents and the delivery doctors.
His father, Tom Hefner, a sign-painter and artist taught him how to draw at an early age. When times got tough, David's mother, Leah Hefner, suggested that the family move north out of Los Angeles, to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. So, the Hefner family settled down in the small town of Olalla, just outside of a quaint fishing village Gig Harbor, Washington. This was the perfect atmosphere to raise their children. It was here that David's interest in drawing persisted. He wrote and illustrated many children's books, while his love of movies - especially horror and science fiction, and playing video-games kept him entertained during the rainy season.
One day, while cleaning the closet he discovered his father's old 8mm animated short-film "The Princess and the Frog". Encouraged by his father's ambitious hand-drawn short-film, he decided to embark on another adventure...film-making! Pooling his allowance together with Dan, he bought a used Super 8mm film camera and projector, and thus "Hefner Bros. Productions" was formed. Enlisting friends and family, especially his younger brother Mike, the brothers made several short films, many times doubling as the same actor and directorial duties.
After graduating South Kitsap High School, the self-taught film-maker decided that it was time to get some formal training. He enrolled into the prestigious L. H. Bates Television School. Graduating top of his class, he was quickly hired at PBS, ABC and Fox directing live television shows, news and sports. Pursuing his narrative film-making ambitions, he attended UCLA and then USC film schools. While striving for a career as a feature film director, he happily continues to direct hundreds of commercials, music videos, and info-mercials.- Actor

Daniel Winston Hefner was born on December 16, 1969 at 5:25 pm. in Lynwood, California. Two minutes later, his parents Tom Hefner and Leah Hefner, were shocked to discover that they were having identical twins, with the arrival of his brother, David Lee Hefner!
When Dan was four years old, his parents were fed up with the big city life, so they moved... to the rural rainforests of the Pacific Northwest. During the long rainy seasons, Dan began drawing, writing, and watching countless hours of classic and now classic "scripted" television shows. With his brother, the thirteen year olds collaborated on writing and illustrating several children's "Choose Your Own Adventure" style books. They soon formed their production company, "Hefner Bros. Productions" and converted their shared bedroom into a recording studio. In this makeshift studio, they produced and created audio taped stories complete with sound effects - replicating the radio plays of the Golden Era! Around age 14, they pooled their allowance together along with their earnings from their Landscaping business to purchase a used Super 8mm film camera from a local garage sale. As film stock was expensive and difficult to attain, these low budget films forced the self-taught boys to stretch their creativity and skills. Being an identical twin was an asset, as they both would act in their own films. Many times doubling as the same actors, which allowed them to share tasks Directing, and being Cameraman.
In high school, Dan took every Television Production, Electronics, and Computer Programming class offered. He soon found an interest in computers. With his passion of videogames, he focused on computer interactive entertainment. By the mid 1980s he had created and programmed several videogames. Dan had an early vision of combining his two passions- films and videogames, thus becoming an early pioneer of Hollywood merging with the computer industry. This led to his next project, a pre-Toy Story (1995) fully CGI animated short film in the late 1980s. It was during this period that Dan was heavily into research and development- programming computerized speech with randomizations and artificial intelligence.
After graduating from high school, he immediately attended L.H. Bates, the best Vocational Technical Institute for Television Broadcast and Production on the west coast. While learning quickly, and still a student, he became an instructor at the institute. After graduating with a diploma, he relocated to Boise, Idaho for work, where by age 21 became Operations Supervisor of Fox Television affiliate KTRV. After working there for 7 years to the day, he resigned from his position, and moved to California to rejoin with his twin brother, David. He freelanced with him for a while doing production work, until he decided to pursue more steady work in the field of Feature Film and Television Post Production. Becoming an early adopter of High Definition Video, he has worked for several of the leading Post Production facilities in Hollywood.- Producer

Chris was born in 1969 to an all Scottish ancestry in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.
His father was a military man and musician WHO made the billboard top 20 in 1954 going to #4 with the song "Don't judge a book (by looking at its cover)" with a band called "The Jeckles and Hydes".
Chris has one older brother, and one older sister. The family moved several times across Canada with stops in New Brunswick, Quebec, Alberta, and Saskatchewan until they finally settled in British Columbia.
In 1983 Chris found a love of acting through his high school drama class. Accolades followed in 1987 when he won the Best Actor award at the North Peace Regional Festival of the Arts. He would end his 8-year stay with the Stage North Theatre Company (in Fort St. John, B.C.) by becoming the youngest ever member of the Board of Directors for his final season in 1990/1991.
He moved from small town rural B.C. to Vancouver after his mother's passing and attended the first ever full time 1-year acting program at the Vancouver Film School. After 4 years in the Vancouver Film industry Chris left Vancouver to travel Canada with his now ex-wife. This decision would take the couple on a journey that saw them move 15 times over 10 years, to 7 different cities in 4 different Provinces/Territories, in Canada.
While traveling Canada Chris was responsible for the initiation of 2 theatre companies before arriving in Ottawa, Ontario where he was called upon by a friend to join a short film and lend his expertise. It was on this set where he made connections that soon led to his involvement with a local radio program "Moving Images" as technical producer and co-host. One day while recording the show it was suggested that if he was so wise about film sets: perhaps he should direct?
In 2005, his hiatus from film officially over, Chris began making his first production "UPGRADED" with Studio"3" production and his own company Lucid Films. This journey found him quickly picking up new skills as he personally had a hand in each and every step of the process. He can now credit himself as an award winning Actor, accomplished Director, experienced scriptwriter, digital editor (Audio and Video) and Producer.
Chris' production company (now re-branded Myth Peddlers Media [Vancouver]) has edited several productions for other media companies and has refocused to work with larger businesses to bring Myth Peddlers Media to life.- Actor

Despite his prominence in Hollywood as a character actor known for playing villains and criminals, Ben Mendelsohn has been a leading man in Australia since starting acting as a teenager.
Paul Benjamin Mendelsohn was born in Melbourne, Australia, to Carole Ann (Ferguson), a nurse, and Frederick Arthur Oscar Mendelsohn, a medical researcher. Getting his start in television, including The Henderson Kids (1985) and the long running soap opera Neighbours (1985), Mendelsohn broke out with his performance as an ill-fated juvenile delinquent in the acclaimed coming of age film The Year My Voice Broke (1987). Mendelsohn won the best supporting actor award from the Australian Film Institute, his first of eight nominations.
Mendelsohn went onto to become one of the most popular teen/young adult stars in Australia cinema, often rivaling other emerging talents of his generation, including Russell Crowe, Noah Taylor, and Guy Pearce, leading the Australian tabloid to nickname them "the Mouse Pack" in reference to the Rat Pack in America and Brit Pack in the UK, emerging at the same time. Among his peers, Mendelsohn seemed to corner the market on troubled, angry young men, thanks to his roles in Idiot Box (1996), Metal Skin (1994), and Nirvana Street Murder (1990). But Mendelsohn also proved he was capable of being a romantic lead, starring in the comedies The Big Steal (1990), Cosi (1996), and Amy (1997).
In the 1990s, Mendelsohn appeared in just one "Hollywood" film, the action film Vertical Limit (2000), as one of two daredevil climbers on a rescue mission, often providing the film's comic relief. The film failed to find an audience and Mendelsohn returned to Australia, where he primarily worked in theater and television, despite earning best actor nominations from the Australian Film Institute and Australian Film Critics Circle for the drama Mullet, as a prodigal son returning to his small town. He also took steps to work in more international films such as The New World (2005), Knowing (2009) and Australia (2008). Mendelsohn has acknowledged that there was a period of almost two years that he had so little work, he considered leaving the acting profession entirely.
In 2009, Mendelsohn experienced a bit of a comeback with the role in the independent Australian films Beautiful Kate (2009), as troubled man forced to reunite with his dying father and come to terms with the death of his twin sister, with whom he had a complicated relationship. He was nominated for Australian Film Institute and Australian Film Critics Circle Best Actor in 2009. A year later, he appeared as Pope in Animal Kingdom (2010), the most terrifying and violent member of a crime family. In 2010, he won Best Actor from the Australian Film Institute, Independent Film Award, and Australian Film Critics Circle.
Since 2010, Mendelsohn has become a major player in Hollywood as a character actor in both blockbuster films (The Dark Knight Rises (2012)) and critically acclaimed films such as Killing Them Softly (2012) and The Place Beyond the Pines (2012). In 2013 he appeared in the UK Starred Up (2013), which earned him a Best Supporting Actor Award from the British Independent Film Awards. He received high praise for his performance as gambling addict in 2015's Mississippi Grind (2015) (earning an independent spirit award nomination for best actor). The same year he began a two season run on Netflix's Bloodline (2015) as Danny Rayburn, the black sheep in a well respected family in the Florida Keys (he was considered a guest actor in the third and final season). In 2016 his career took another leap forward, appearing as the main villain in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), and winning the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. He missed the ceremony, as he was filming Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One (2018).- Actor

Chyna had been called "The First Lady of Sports Entertainment". Her accomplishments went far beyond the wrestling ring and anyone's guess. Before exchanging body slams, modeling for top magazines and guest-starring on hundreds of shows,
Chyna was a shy girl who was born Joan Marie Laurer in Rochester, New York, to Janet Carol (Wahl) and Joseph "Joe" Von Laurer, Jr. She spent most of her childhood in a home filled with alcoholism and domestic problems. She found her escape through working out, and began doing aerobics and lifting weights at a gym near her home. This is where she found her true niche: the world of fitness.
As the only female in the gym, Chyna always stood out but developed bonds and friendships with the gym members, who gave her the encouragement to keep going. She broke all gender barriers everywhere she went, and continued her love of fitness throughout her college days. Chyna graduated from the University of Tampa with a 3.9 GPA, and a double major in Spanish Literature, in under two years. She also studied foreign languages, and could speak English, Spanish, German and French. Chyna was a true humanitarian, and served in the U.S. Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) and the Peace Corps, helping to teach illiterate third-world children to read. She was a strong supporter of the National Animal Rescue charity, which helps domesticated animals find good, loving homes.
Throughout her life, Chyna dreamed of being an entertainer. She began that career in the early 1990s, as a belly dancer, and soon moved on to fitness competitions, but the star found her real calling in the entertainment world: professional wrestling. She began training to be a professional under the guidance of the wrestling legend Walter 'Killer' Kowalski, in a professional wrestling school in which all other students were men. She soon took the world of women's wrestling by storm and began competing in the PGWA, where she was given the 1996 Rookie of the Year award for the Women's Championship.
After dominating the world of women's wrestling, Chyna was discovered by Paul Levesque (aka "Triple H") and Shawn Michaels (HBK), two WWF (World Wrestling Federation) superstars who helped Chyna break into the big-time. She made her worldwide television debut in February 1997 as a bodyguard for Triple H, but soon went on to break all gender stereotypes by competing with some of the toughest men in the WWF, under the name "Chyna". Years later, she was the only woman to qualify for the Royal Rumble and King of the Ring tournaments, and became the only female Intercontinental Champion and the only undefeated Women's Champion in WWF history.
Five years after she debuted as a professional wrestler in the WWF, Chyna parted ways with the company. She then toured Japan, taking the country by storm and battling in the ring with the likes of such champions as Keiji Mutô, The Great Kabuki, and most notably, Masahiro Chôno. Her 2002 Tokyo Dome match against Chono earned her the title of Nikkian Sport's 2002 Women's Wrestler of the Year.
Meanwhile, back in the US, Chyna appeared in several films, hosted a variety of shows, and showed that women can combine strength and beauty in two top-selling issues of "Playboy" magazine, which proved to the world that women can be beautiful without having the anorexic "Twiggy" look. She also appeared in the first-ever Playboy documentary, which conducted in-depth interviews with Chyna, her former manager Rich Minzer, her friend Joe Gold, and Hugh Hefner himself.
Her strong will to the best and "survival of the fittest" attitude made her one of the top wrestlers in history. She served as a role model to millions of men and women by proving anything is possible, through hard work and determination. In her best-selling autobiography "If They Only Knew", she discussed what it took to make it to the top, and showed the world what she had to overcome to make her one of the most well-known pop culture icons in the world. Shortly after her first appearance in "Playboy", she released her own fitness video, Chyna Fitness: More Than Meets the Eye (2000), which won awards from fitness and lifestyle magazines. The video is still popular with both Chyna's fans and fitness fans alike.
Unlike most former pro wrestlers, Chyna had success on her own two feet. She was on nearly every talk show, and was featured on hundreds of magazine covers, from "Playboy" and "Newsweek" to "TV Guide" and "People". She was featured on Reggie Benjamin's CD "2X-Centrix", performing drums and back up vocals. She was on the top of the "dance music" billboard charts for five weeks with the CD single "Ride", and also sang with her own rock band, "The Chynna Dolls", for a short time, playing venues like The Roxy, Elrey Theater, Hollywood Athletic Center, and two performances on Howard Stern (1994). She starred in the comedies Cougar Club (2007) and Illegal Aliens (2007), and also hosted a variety of shows, from Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors (2001) to FYE and AMC's "Tough Guys series. She had many guest-starring roles on TV series, such as Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1998), 3rd Rock from the Sun (1996), Pacific Blue (1996), The Nick Cannon Show (2002), Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996), Mad TV (1995), MTV's "Diary" and many others. She was also featured on season four of The Surreal Life (2003) and VH1's spin off, The Surreal Life: Fame Games (2007), as well as in films, including Alien Tracker (2003), Alien Fury: Countdown to Invasion (2000), Frank McKlusky, C.I. (2002), Hunter: Back in Force (2003). In 2008, she appeared on VH1's Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) TV series to conquer personal demons and depression caused from an abusive relationship and childhood trauma.
In 2009, she released a fashion book, "Paper Doll", which became a best-seller. In May 2011, she returned to the world of wrestling with TNA, debuting on the May 12 edition of TNA iMPACT! Wrestling (2004), and followed it up with one last match at the TNA TNA: Sacrifice (2011) Pay-per-view, where she and Kurt Angle took on Jeff Jarrett and Karen Jarrett. The episode was one of the highest-rated for the company in many years. Although her match with TNA was a one-time-only deal, Chyna showed the world she had turned her life around - she had overcome depression, emotional trauma and was finally where she wanted to be in life.
In June 2011, Chyna released her first adult video with Vivid Entertainment, Backdoor to Chyna (2011), which sold over a million copies. She said the movie allowed her to regain control of her life, gave her a newfound confidence and got her back on her feet. She embarked on a huge media tour, appearing all over the US. She began feature dancing at high-end nightclubs, appeared on dozens of radio shows, including Howard Stern on Demand (2005) and ABC radio, and in November 2011 won a Fleshbot Award for her "Backdoor to Chyna" video. In 2012, she appeared in A Night at the Silent Movie Theater (2012) and appeared in the music video "Gonna Make You Love Me" for the band Lovechild. She also appeared in a tell-all interview with KayFabe Commentaries, in which she discussed everything from her childhood to drugs, porn and everything in between.
