This is the movie that I recently saw and Delhi is prominent character in this movie. The shots of lanes of Delhi took me back to my own youth with kids playing cricket in those narrow alleys. Yamuna bridges also featured prominently in this movie.

Couldn't find Band Baaja Baaraat and hope I have linked to the right movie here. I think putting up tents in the street is a very Delhi thing. Amount of money that is spent on weddings was caught well in this movie. Some good shots of new DTC buses.

A good movie based on untalked topic of child abuse. Delhi however was in backdrop. Some shots of IIT Delhi. Wedding usually doesn't happen during monsoon season but that is what makes this movie unique.

This was the original movie that was based on Delhi. Delhi streets were prominently featured with Farukh Shaikh and his kali ghodi. Paan wali dukan shown was very typical of Delhi.

Movie based solely in Delhi. Good movie showing the life in old Delhi. BTW 6 stands for the abbreviated postal code 110 006. Characters weren't typical Delhi except may be the police wallah, however the buildings more than made up for the presence of Delhi.

Delhi is shown only during the time when Aamir and Sonali are in their college days. The most endearing depiction of winters in Delhi. Sonali wearing the sweater with her dupatta. A great movie to be seen even though Delhi is only small part of it.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. Paro moves to Delhi in this movie and Dev follows her. Chanda grows up in Delhi. Strong references to DPS scandal in the movie. Shots of Paharh Ganj from Chanda's balcony were beautiful.

Three main heroes are all originally from outside Delhi. They represent a large subset of new people who have moved into Delhi. They are educated and they have some money. Local shots are mostly from the edges of Delhi like Noida and Gudgaon. Pahalwan da Dhaba is unique on the outer edges of Delhi. Loved the language of Liquid before he got tamed.

Our hero Jai (Zayed Khan) and his friend Govind are supposed to be from Delhi and the heroine Naina (Diya Mirza) is from Bombay. There is some subtle uncontested Delhi bashing going on by the Bombay girl including what to call gol gappas. I couldn't really see Zayed Khan as a Delhi boy and his dialogue delivery was poor. Very few outdoor shoots. Overall Delhi got a bad name in this movie.
