Votes: 226,323 | Gross: $2.12M
Like all great movies a story about many things. At heart, though, it is a love story. The novel that is is based on is even better.

Votes: 472,711 | Gross: $17.02M
I expected this to be a morally indignified movie about the war in Iraq. It's not. Rather, it's a tense and intelligent action movie, which revolves around the three men in a bomb disposal unit.

Much praise has (rightly) been given to Javier Bardem for his chilling performance in this, but Tommy Lee Jones is also excellent as the soon-to-be-retired sheriff, who feels he has failed.
The Coen brothers have opted to leave out all music and ambience, and the resulting silence gives this movie a very intense feel.
