My guilty pleasures. I'm ashamed
There are different definitions for a guilty pleasure, but I think it all comes down to something you know is bad, but you love re-watching it and re-watching it over and over again! So here's my list, in order of how guilty I feel about liking it.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'M SO SORRY!

- DirectorSam MraovichStarsSam MraovichJamie Brett GabelMichael HaboushA pair of recently married gay men are threatened by the brother of one of the partners, a religious fanatic who plots to murder them after being ostracized by his church.Even worse then "The Room". Like. My God, even "The Room" wasn't totally inept from the angle of the music and editing and production values. But Ben and Arthur, there are so many layers of awfulness to peel apart in so many ways and make so many jokes apart. It is impossible to wrap your mind around the fact that this is supposed to be taken seriously. Just so many gaping plot holes, (Ben was simultaneously in a straight and gay relationship for years without telling either of his partners the other one existed) and so many lines, "Tammi, I'm Gay!" "Well then I'll be gay too and it will be O.K. for us to get married again", and the auteur behind this film has no sense of subtlety in his message or direction, and there's never a good or realistic moment. But I feel bad about loving to laugh at the stupidity of this because it was so clearly a labor of love and there was probably a lot of work put into it, but, it's just too awful.
- DirectorRoland EmmerichStarsJohn CusackThandiwe NewtonChiwetel EjioforA frustrated writer struggles to keep his family alive when a series of global catastrophes threatens to annihilate mankind.HISHE just explained this movie perfectly. If you haven't seen "How 2012 Should Have Ended", go watch it now because they explain the flaws so much better then I could. It's such a weird pattern of "A nonsensical Murray's Law thing happens, but then a convoluted coincidence gets the characters out" that repeats and repeats until we get to the end. With other Emmerich movies, at least there's some plot to keep structure, like trying to survive in a library while the world freezes over or figuring out how to defeat the aliens. Here, Roland Emmerich doesn't even make any pretense about the stupidity, he just shows it for us, every explosion, every earthquake, every wave. And that's probably the best way to have it.
- DirectorJohn R. Cherry IIIStarsJim VarneyDouglas SealeOliver ClarkErnest helps Santa Claus as he searches for his successor.Yeahhhhh. I don't know. It's not funny, charming, but I keep being drawn to it. I guess Ernest just works as a lovable doof, and hey, It's on location in my hometown, so It's fun to look at how my town has changed over time. And there's something very sincere in it. It's heart is in the right place, even though it's brain isn't.
- DirectorPhyllida LloydStarsMeryl StreepPierce BrosnanAmanda SeyfriedThe story of a bride-to-be trying to find her real father told using hit songs by the popular 1970s group ABBA.Just listen to Pierce Brosnan sing. It's bad. REALLY BAD! And there's no depth, it's all just fluff and bad comedy, but those songs are just so damn catchy. The reason I put it so low is because I skipped he part where I feel bad about liking it it to loving it.
- CreatorTheresa RebeckStarsDebra MessingJack DavenportKatharine McPheeMore drama occurs behind the scenes than on stage, as the team prepares an ambitious Broadway musical on the life of Marilyn Monroe. To everybody that likes this show not in a guilty way, I do not like this in the same way you do. It is lazy, soap opera writing, YOU get an an affair, YOU get an affair, EVERYBODY gets an affair! And that intern who is the most cliche', awfully written villain in the 1st season. He is always where he needs to be at the exact moment he would want to be there, and he turns around corners in creepy ways! Like, CLICHE ALERT! Also, I will never get over that he finds out she's having an affair because of a SONG! How... why... whaaaaat? It's such awful, Glee rip-off addictive trash. It's low because there are just those elements and a few others that are silly and terrible, and I do genuinely think some of the perormances are solid.
- DirectorJames NguyenStarsAlan BaghWhitney MooreTippi HedrenA horde of mutated birds descends upon the quiet town of Half Moon Bay, California. As the death toll rises, two citizens manage to fight back, but will they survive Birdemic?I don't consider "The Room" or "Troll 2" to be the worst ever, because the filmmakers at least knew the technical side of filmmaking well enough, sound, lighting, editing, cinematography, I'm not even going to say that the effects in Troll 2 are as awful as they could have been, cause they could have been a lot worse. They could have been like the effects in Birdemic.
I put this at the bottom because you have to love it in a "so bad it's good" way, there's not much to be guilty about. But this is just an ignorant film on every level. Right off the bat, the sound mixing is atrocious, especially that foley for footsteps. Then you get introduced to the wooden characters, then you find out about the level of work that was put into consistency and continuity. But these are only 3 of what amounts to MANY problems. I didn't even talk about how god awful the beginning credits are. Let's just say even before that first scene, the film is already screaming how terrible it is. Birdemic starts off like a train wreck, but it continues to spiral down into something that's more like the train wreck from "Super 8" as opposed to your everyday train wreck. And that is why I love it. - DirectorJon TurteltaubStarsNicolas CageDiane KrugerJustin BarthaA historian races to find the legendary Templar Treasure before a team of mercenaries.tied with 12
