- DirectorRichard MarquandStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherAfter rescuing Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt, the Rebel Alliance attempt to destroy the second Death Star, while Luke struggles to help Darth Vader back from the dark side.I don't exactly know why but Return of the Jedi has a special place in my heart. I think I just really liked Jabba's palace, the Rancor and the forest setting of Endor. The climactic fight was amazing too. I just love it. However it's a tough call with Empire...and of course you can't have Return of the Jedi without Empire or A New Hope.
- DirectorIrvin KershnerStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherAfter the Rebel Alliance are overpowered by the Empire, Luke Skywalker begins his Jedi training with Yoda, while his friends are pursued across the galaxy by Darth Vader and bounty hunter Boba Fett. This is a stellar sequel to A New Hope, better is virtually every way, great new settings, love Yoda, love Boba Fett, love the Carbonite, love the big reveal of Luke's father. It's great! Probably the best sequel ever made.
- DirectorGeorge LucasStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherLuke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a Wookiee and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire's world-destroying battle station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the mysterious Darth Vader.Of course this is the film that started it all, so it's hard to put this 3rd, but there is something about the next two films that really impressed me.
- DirectorGeorge LucasStarsHayden ChristensenNatalie PortmanEwan McGregorTen years after initially meeting, Anakin Skywalker shares a forbidden romance with Padmé Amidala, while Obi-Wan Kenobi discovers a secret clone army crafted for the Jedi.Of the Prequel trilogy this one is, by far, my favorite. I liked many of the settings and the general story plus the Yoda fight!
- DirectorGareth EdwardsStarsFelicity JonesDiego LunaAlan TudykIn a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction. What a great spin-off/prequel/side-story. The referenced A New Hope in all the right ways and made a very interesting story of how the plans were stolen from the empire, it was very well done.
- DirectorRon HowardStarsAlden EhrenreichWoody HarrelsonEmilia ClarkeDuring an adventure in the criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his future co-pilot Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian years before joining the Rebel Alliance. This is a tough one to place, especially being that I have only seen it once so far.
- DirectorGeorge LucasStarsEwan McGregorLiam NeesonNatalie PortmanTwo Jedi escape a hostile blockade to find allies and come across a young boy who may bring balance to the Force, but the long dormant Sith resurface to claim their original glory. If it wasn't for Jar Jar and a few other random things, this would probably be higher, but it definitely has some great things in it. Darth Maul was a phenomenal adversary, so cool! I liked the story too.
- DirectorJim WheatKen WheatStarsWilford BrimleyWarwick DavisAubree MillerMarauders raid the Ewok village and steal a power supply they believe to be magical. Wicket helps Cindel escape the evil witch Charal, and they befriend a hermit who may help them save the village. This film has a special place in my heart. I just love it, it's just fun and I love the Ewoks.
- DirectorJohn KortyStarsEric WalkerWarwick DavisFionnula FlanaganWicket the Ewok and his friends agree to help two shipwrecked human children, Mace and Cindel, on a quest to find their parents.Another one with a special place in my heart, it's just fun and I still love the Ewoks.
- DirectorRian JohnsonStarsDaisy RidleyJohn BoyegaMark HamillRey develops her abilities with the help of Luke Skywalker, as the Resistance prepares for battle against the First Order.I thought this was a vast improvement on The Force Awakens, however it was a rather simple plot and not a great deal to it. There were some really fun things in it, but some lazy writing and silly situations. Overall, it was an enjoyable film. I somewhat worry where they are going to go with the next one, this movie didn't leave you wanting more, it was all pretty buttoned up at the end, other than Kylo Ren still running around and now presumably running the whole empire. We'll see what they do with the next one.
- DirectorGeorge LucasStarsHayden ChristensenNatalie PortmanEwan McGregorThree years into the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi pursues a new threat, while Anakin Skywalker is lured by Chancellor Palpatine into a sinister plot to rule the galaxy. Many people liked this one in the prequel series, but this one was definitely my least favorite. There was so many missed opportunities here. I really wanted to see Darth Vader hunting down and destroying the Jedi's, but instead I got him killing some children and the storm troopers taking them out. WHAT!? There was some cool stuff, like General Grievous, but overall missed the mark.
- DirectorJ.J. AbramsStarsDaisy RidleyJohn BoyegaOscar IsaacAs a new threat to the galaxy rises, Rey, a desert scavenger, and Finn, an ex-stormtrooper, must join Han Solo and Chewbacca to search for the one hope of restoring peace.I am somewhat torn with this film. I personally thought it was just a rehash of what I've already seen in Episode IV, V and VI, condensed into one film, so in that respect, it was terrible. However, I do see that it brings the new generation up to speed so that they can tell a new story with the next two Star Wars films, so I am holding out hope that they will be really good, I also like what the film has done for Star Wars, it brought it back on top and in the forefront. But then again they killed Han, I can't be on board with that.
- DirectorDave FiloniStarsMatt LanterNika FuttermanTom KaneAs the Clone Wars sweep the galaxy, Anakin Skywalker and his new Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, embark on a mission to rescue the kidnapped son of Jabba the Hutt. The renegade Count Dooku, however, is determined to ensure that they fail. For what it is, it's not bad, but I am just not a huge fan of animated star wars, it's just not that interesting to me. I can enjoy it, but it doesn't hold a candle to most of the others above.
- DirectorJ.J. AbramsStarsDaisy RidleyJohn BoyegaOscar IsaacThe surviving Resistance faces the First Order once again in the conclusion of the Skywalker saga.Yeah, they missed the mark, BIG TIME with this film. There isn't a lot of good stuff to mention here about this film, it was pretty much terrible through and through. Clearly there was no plan from the start on how this trilogy would end, very haphazard, lazy and uninteresting writing.
