- DirectorDouglas MackinnonStarsBenedict CumberbatchMartin FreemanUna StubbsSherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson find themselves in 1890s London in this Christmas special."Overwrought" and "nonsensical" have always been words that aptly describe "Sherlock", particularly after his unlikely and glossed-over resurrection. But this hour was especially trying. So long, "Sherlock", have fun exploring your own navel.
- DirectorDermott DownsStarsGrant GustinCandice PattonDanielle PanabakerBarry asks Green Arrow for help when aliens attack Central City, but when they realize that won't be enough, they bring the Legends and Supergirl in on the battle. It should have been sooner, but the big crossover between all of Berlanti's DC superhero shows was when I decided I was through with "The Flash", and need not follow up with any of the others (maybe "Supergirl". Maybe).
- DirectorNicole KassellStarsMireille EnosBilly CampbellJoel KinnamanWhen Linden gets a call from her son's school saying he hasn't been there for three days, she and Holder travel across the city to find him.A few episodes after the idiot detectives practically invite Rosie Larson's father to beat a red herring suspect half to death, we take a detour from the case as Enos and Holder look for her runaway son. It's a detour too many, frankly.
- DirectorBrad TurnerStarsBilly CampbellHiroyuki SanadaKyra ZagorskyAlan (Billy Campbell) and Peter capture the assassin Scythe and demand to know the whereabouts of Julia's (Kyra Zagorsky) mother. Balleseros confronts Hatake (Hiroyuki Sanada) about the missing Inuit children, while Anana and her brother learn of Daniel's fate. Concerns that the virus is in Ilaria's possession again forces Alan and the team off the base to search the world in order to retrieve it.I stuck it out for one season of this convoluted nonsense.

I saw the first full season of "Gotham". I tuned in for the first episode of the second, and it seemed to offer more of the same. So I stopped watching. You see, I'm getting better. I can quit anytime I want.
- DirectorBradley BueckerStarsSarah PaulsonEvan PetersMichael ChiklisDandy prepares for his debut performance. The Tattlers contemplate marriage, while in Hollywood, Elsa discovers she's further from love than ever before. This was never a good show. It had some campy pleasures from time to time; season 2, particularly, which has such delights as the divine Jessica Lange leading the inmate of a creepy asylum in a recitation of "The Name Game". Story was generally not the show's strength, but in season 3 the narrative flabbiness became a major demerit. Characters died and were resurrected without difficulty; others passed on with little fanfare. A character that was previously dismember showed up hale and hearty, fully reassembled offscreen. So it is with season 4, which kills off most of the supporting players without much thought and gives a sanctimonious sendoff to their negligent mistress (Jessica Lange, again).

- DirectorOmar MadhaStarsJake McLaughlinJohnny SequoyahJamie ChungFBI Agent Elizabeth Farrell is in charge of tracking down death row escapee William Tate but is informed by the Director of the FBI that for reasons unknown, Bo Adams is traveling with him. He makes it clear that Bo is far more important than Tate and Farrell is subsequently briefed by geneticist Roman Skouris about her abilities. Bo and Tate meanwhile are on their way to the safe house in Philadelphia but have to stop in Atlantic City on the way. They have no money - something they rectify by having Bo help Tate at the craps table. Bo decides to help a waitress whose 5 year-old son is quite ill but Farrell and her team are quickly homing on them.
- DirectorGwyneth Horder-PaytonStarsAdam RaynerJennifer FinniganAshraf BarhomBarry still expects the coup to be bloodless, Jamal and Leila who will still live in luxury in exile after all is said and done. The first step still remains to remove Tariq from his position, which Tucker tells Barry he has three days to accomplish by making Jamal believe Tariq is the mastermind behind the coup. Tucker also arms Barry with a tool to accomplish this task. With all the possible problems in this mission, the biggest obstacles may be Leila, who is generally more astute and questioning than Jamal, and Molly, who may not be able to look Jamal and Leila in the face knowing what she now knows. What troubles Molly the most is how easy this all seems to Barry. Both Barry and Molly also come to the realization what it all means for their lives, Barry who takes steps to ensure that not only is his family safe, but that Sammy and Emma, who will eventually learn what their father has done, will view his actions with pride and not disgust. In addition, Molly is uncertain if she can live a life of always looking behind her and her family's collective backs.disappointingly toothless antihero drama with a weak lead. Barry is essentially supposed to be Syrian despot Assad, and the idea of the show is to portray his rise to power and corruption along the way. To say the least, as Syria rages in the midst of a civil war and Assad slaughters his citizens by the thousands, the idea of making him into the next Walter White is unappealing. Raynar is not good in the role, the very setting is unconvincing, and the narrative is endlessly stalling, with Barry's naive and "well-meaning" coup against his brother handily foiled as the first season nears its close.
- DirectorCraig ZiskStarsMary-Louise ParkerElizabeth PerkinsTonye PatanoThe season ends with the entire town of Majestic, including Agrestic, facing destruction from a wildfire set by Guillermo and his Mexican friends. Tara and her fanatical friends try to rescue the cross from the makeshift grow house.Season 3 was not as weak as I remembered, but as we came to the end we did not feel the need to continue. Nancy isn't likable, really, her kids are jerks, and the supporting cast is really one of the most appealing parts of the show; having the Botwins pack up and leave them behind seems like a misstep. This is one I might go back to, but I don't know if you noticed, there is a lot of TV out there, and one can't watch every show.
- DirectorRussell Lee FineStarsTom MisonJanina GavankarLyndie GreenwoodFollowing the death of Abbie Mills, Ichabod and Jenny begin searching for the next Witness. After blithely killing off its lead last season, the show hopes to start afresh in DC. No dice.
- DirectorDermott DownsStarsVictor GarberBrandon RouthArthur DarvillAfter some of the Legends are captured and thrown into a Russian gulag during the height of the Cold War of 1986, Snart leads the team in an elaborate Prison Break to free their comrades. However, Rip gives Sara a secret side mission that could prove not only to be a liability, but fatal to the team.Arrow and The Flash introduced Vandal Savage in a bit crossover event, and promptly killed him off, reducing him to atoms. This seems misguided, to say the least, killing off your Big Bad before your show premieres. Somehow Savage keeps coming back from the dead, and this isn't treated as a mystery that must be solved in order to defeat him, but as an obligation that keeps the show going.

- DirectorCyndi TangPete MichelsPeter ShinStarsSeth MacFarlaneAlex BorsteinSeth GreenAfter quarterback Tom Brady witnesses Peter pummeling several people in order to get to the bathroom, he recruits him to play for the New England Patriots.Let me take you back to the year 2005. "Family Guy" was a big thing in those days, a little animated sitcom that had been cancelled by Fox after three short season but gotten a broader viewership airing reruns on Cartoon Network's late night Adult Swim bloc. Inspired by its healthy ratings with those impressionable 18-to-24's, Foxy Fox the Fox Network Fox brought "Family Guy" back, it what was hailed by the youth as a great victory. But children, sometimes dead is better.
At first, I was glad. I laughed, I'm sure, at the bits of pop cultural witticism, the misogyny, the many giggiddies. Oh, how I laughed. But I recall one evening sitting on a friend's couch as stone-faced we watched Peter Griffin prance around the gridiron singing "Shipoopi" from "The Musical Man", expecting the obvious scatological dig that was not to come, and I realized that this show was an in thing now. The subversive, if featherweight, little satire that I had come to enjoy was mainstream now, and this was Seth McFarlane's victory lap. I wish I could tell you that I stopped watching when Quagmire falls in love with the woman who must then die to ensure character continuity, or something like that, or that I sat through one cutaway gag too many. Alas, it was "Shipoopi". "Shipoopi". - StarsZach CallisonEstelleMichaela DietzSteven meets Uncle Grandpa while trying to unlock the power of his mother's gem. Hilarity and weirdness ensues.Worst.
