Money Isn't Everything
I hate it when a bad movies gets to suck people's money out of their pocket. Somehow these bad films successfully draw people to watch these. It hurts even more when a film that is good or great gets beaten by a bad movie. Just because a film made a lot of money doesn't mean it's good. In fact, here are the films that made money, but was bad at everything else. Continue at your own risk!

- DirectorMichael BayStarsShia LaBeoufRosie Huntington-WhiteleyTyrese GibsonThe Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and to learn its secrets.A huge cash grab, nothing more. It made however, over a billion dollars at the box office worldwide. Making a total of 1,123,794,079$. The horror of it all. Besides the Tranformers franchise was bad as a whole, so why did people continue to give money to this joke of a franchise. It makes no sense.
- DirectorMichael BayStarsMark WahlbergNicola Peltz BeckhamJack ReynorWhen humanity allies with a bounty hunter in pursuit of Optimus Prime, the Autobots turn to a mechanic and his family for help.Didn't make as much as Dark of the Moon, but still relished over a billion dollars. The grand or despicable total is: 1,091,405,097
- DirectorGeorge LucasStarsEwan McGregorLiam NeesonNatalie PortmanTwo Jedi escape a hostile blockade to find allies and come across a young boy who may bring balance to the Force, but the long dormant Sith resurface to claim their original glory.Another prime example of a big movie franchise with a lot of hype and expectations that ended up being a disappointment made over a billion dollars at the box office. There is very few areas of positivity in this film, and not enough to make it deserve all that money. And oh yeah, it was the first Star Wars to come since the 80's so it was expected to do well money wise.
- DirectorTim BurtonStarsMia WasikowskaJohnny DeppHelena Bonham CarterNineteen-year-old Alice returns to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen's reign of terror. Now this one makes absolutely no since as to why it got so much money. Were people really excited to see another film of Alice in Wonderland? Wasn't the Disney animation good already? And this is far worse than the animation. So why did it do so well? This one leaves me scratching my head. Also, it made over a billion dollars, are you kidding me?
- DirectorSam RaimiStarsTobey MaguireKirsten DunstTopher GraceA strange black entity from another world bonds with Peter Parker and causes inner turmoil as he contends with new villains, temptations, and revenge. The most successful of the Spider-Man franchise by Sam Raimi. But the most awful. It angers me that when you get a third installment and you don't deliver a solid movie and everyone is pumped to see it and it disappoints, that has to be major blow to a director's reputation. Especially if the last two films were actually good. This didn't make a billion dollars, but made more money than the other Spider-Man films. Please tell me why?
- DirectorCarlos SaldanhaMichael ThurmeierStarsRay RomanoJohn LeguizamoDenis LearyWhen Sid's attempt to adopt three dinosaur eggs gets him abducted by their real mother to an underground lost world, his friends attempt to rescue him.Not the worst of the franchise and not the worst animation either, but it still treats kids like they aren't smart or deserve some sort of valuable lesson of life. It pleases that simple part of the brain of simple laughter. The jokes are not even smart, they are just meant for a quick laugh. But, kids and the parents that had to pay to see this will wish they would have waited another year for How to Train Your Dragon. Seriously, that film is worth the money. Not this.
- DirectorSteve MartinoMichael ThurmeierStarsRay RomanoDenis LearyJohn LeguizamoManny, Diego, and Sid embark upon another adventure after their continent is set adrift. Using an iceberg as a ship, they encounter sea creatures and battle pirates as they explore a new world. This is the worst of the franchise and I won't be so nice to this one, because it doesn't deserve one cent. It is even more stupid and insulting to kid's intelligence than the last. The story is weak, the new characters are annoying and unnecessary. Adults should show they're kids films like The Lion King or How to Train Your Dragon, those are 100% better then this joke.
- DirectorMichael BayStarsShia LaBeoufMegan FoxJosh DuhamelSam Witwicky leaves the Autobots behind for a normal life. But when his mind is filled with cryptic symbols, the Decepticons target him and he is dragged back into the Transformers' war.The only good thing that happened from this film has nothing to do with the film itself. It began the now popular YouTube movie critic Jeremy Jahns, he hated this film so much he had to share it on YouTube. Michael Bay tried to be like Spielberg, but failed miserably.
- DirectorChris MillerRaman HuiStarsMike MyersCameron DiazEddie MurphyReluctantly designated as the heir to the land of Far, Far Away, Shrek hatches a plan to install the rebellious Artie as the new king while Princess Fiona tries to fend off a coup d'état by the jilted Prince Charming.Surely the worst film made by DreamWorks. They went from the highest high to the lowest low. Shrek 2 was amazing, this was horrendous. Making me say, they should have stopped at 2. Luckily they have not stooped down to this level since.
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsHarrison FordCate BlanchettShia LaBeoufIndiana Jones becomes entangled in a Soviet plot to uncover the secret behind mysterious artifacts known as the Crystal Skulls. In my opinion, this is Spielberg's worst film, and it made more then any other Indiana Jones film. This is the same problem as Spider-Man 3. Except Spielberg has enough gems under his belt to fall back on.
