- DirectorLee UnkrichStarsTom HanksTim AllenJoan CusackThe toys are mistakenly delivered to a day-care center instead of the attic right before Andy leaves for college, and it's up to Woody to convince the other toys that they weren't abandoned and to return home.I re-watched this lately and I loved it. Great story, breathtaking animation, great and loveable characters. This is on par with the first and second Toy story for how good it is.
9.5/10 - DirectorJohn LasseterStarsTom HanksTim AllenDon RicklesA cowboy doll is profoundly threatened and jealous when a new spaceman action figure supplants him as top toy in a boy's bedroom. This was really nicely made and you are never really old for this. It's fun, funny and a highly intelligent movie.
9.5/10 - DirectorAndrew StantonAngus MacLaneStarsEllen DeGeneresAlbert BrooksEd O'NeillFriendly but forgetful blue tang Dory begins a search for her long-lost parents and everyone learns a few things about the real meaning of family along the way. This movie has a clever story, great humor, high quality animation and great voice acting. Sure the story has some similarities to the original, it has it's differences, making it less predictable. Critics may have preferred Finding Nemo over this, but with better pacing, and better characters, I personally think it is slightly better. It is a movie I recommend, and it is worth remembering (even for those like Dory).
9/10 - DirectorAndrew StantonLee UnkrichStarsAlbert BrooksEllen DeGeneresAlexander GouldAfter his son is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney, a timid clownfish sets out on a journey to bring him home.I've seen this lately, and I thought it was funny, clever, and greatly executed. Oh, and did I mention the beautiful animation? If there is one complaint I can make, it's that the pacing isn't the best, since it can be pretty draggy. But it is overall amazing.
9/10 - DirectorPete DocterRonnie Del CarmenStarsAmy PoehlerBill HaderLewis BlackAfter young Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco, her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness - conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house, and school. Before this film was released, I doubted it. I thought it wouldn't be as appealing as Toy story, but I saw it and it was funny, enjoyable and complicated. Sure it had plot holes, but it still was great. Oh, and you know those annoying irritating bad reviews for this film saying its either unoriginal, boring, not for kids, or is too sad? Do not listen to these people. I'd recommend it 8+, however.
9/10 - DirectorJohn LasseterAsh BrannonLee UnkrichStarsTom HanksTim AllenJoan CusackWhen Woody is stolen by a toy collector, Buzz and his friends set out on a rescue mission to save Woody before he becomes a museum toy property with his roundup gang Jessie, Prospector, and Bullseye. Most sequels are not as good as the original, but this is one that nearly lives up to its original with a great plot and great humor, easily making this a memorable sequel.
9/10 - DirectorBrad BirdStarsCraig T. NelsonSamuel L. JacksonHolly HunterWhile trying to lead a quiet suburban life, a family of undercover superheroes are forced into action to save the world. This was a pretty good movie and I like how there's a back story. Its very enjoyable and I anticipate the sequel although sequels can be a little mindless
7.5/10 - DirectorJohn LasseterJoe RanftStarsOwen WilsonBonnie HuntPaul NewmanOn the way to the biggest race of his life, a hotshot rookie race car gets stranded in a rundown town and learns that winning isn't everything in life.Everybody says its the second worst Pixar movie but come on, people, its really good and it doesn't deserve all the hate it gets.
Sure, the plot is kinda long and it could've been deeper, but it's still a winner filled with a little heart.
7.5/10 - DirectorPete DocterDavid SilvermanLee UnkrichStarsBilly CrystalJohn GoodmanMary GibbsIn order to power the city, monsters have to scare children so that they scream. However, the children are toxic to the monsters, and after a child gets through, two monsters realize things may not be what they think. This was funnier than Monsters University and was fairly enjoyable. It wasn't as complex as Toy story, but it still is worth watching.
7.5/10 - DirectorPete DocterBob PetersonStarsEdward AsnerJordan NagaiJohn Ratzenberger78-year-old Carl Fredricksen travels to Paradise Falls in his house equipped with balloons, inadvertently taking a young stowaway.I re-watched it recently. The first half-hour was spectacular, but not so much afterwards. Nothing really special after that, and I'm not that willing to watch it again.
6/10 - DirectorBrad BirdJan PinkavaStarsBrad GarrettLou RomanoPatton OswaltA rat who can cook makes an unusual alliance with a young kitchen worker at a famous Paris restaurant. When I watched this when it came out, I didn't find it as entertaining as Toy Story. It is a forgettable film, but maybe I should give it a try again because its so hard to rank this one
6/10 - DirectorDan ScanlonStarsBilly CrystalJohn GoodmanSteve BuscemiA look at the relationship between Mike Wazowski and James P. "Sully" Sullivan during their days at Monsters University, when they weren't necessarily the best of friends.I saw it so many times and this both got old and I started to notice this lacked fun and complication of a Pixar film. Its Pixar's less memorable films, like A bugs life (I haven't seen that one.)
6/10 - DirectorPeter SohnStarsJeffrey WrightFrances McDormandMaleah Nipay-PadillaIn a world where dinosaurs and humans live side-by-side, an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. After seeing the trailers, I thought this would live to good Pixar standards. I was disappointed. There's good cartoony animation, and some likeable characters (which unfortunately don't get enough screen time). But there is a rushed and underwhelming adventure with awful writing that's rips off the Lion King, a protagonist that I didn't feel for mostly (Arlo), little amount of comedy it should've had, and lacks a lot Pixar easter eggs (small flaw). It's just so weak for Pixar quality.
5/10 - DirectorJohn LasseterBradford LewisStarsOwen WilsonLarry the Cable GuyMichael CaineStar race car Lightning McQueen and his pal Mater head overseas to compete in the World Grand Prix race. But the road to the championship becomes rocky as Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage. The original was much better than this because Mater takes up a lot of this movie and he is very annoying. There are Pixar films that have some good heart, but this isn't one of them. Confusing, and complex, even for kids.
5/10 - DirectorAndrew StantonStarsBen BurttElissa KnightJeff GarlinIn the distant future, a small waste-collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind.I just cannot believe how overrated this is! Boring plot and so pointless film makes this, without a doubt, Pixar's worst movie. Cars 2 may be voted the worst Pixar film, but this is the worst one to me. Despite great animation, their only bad movie so far.
