- DirectorAbbas Alibhai BurmawallaMastan Alibhai BurmawallaStarsAkshay KumarAyesha JhulkaDeepak TijoriTwo friends wage bets for money and fun. There comes a time where they race to win the biggest bet, for they know that their lives depend on it.The best Khiladi movie. It had everything you would expect e.g. Action, Comedy. Romance & Suspense. This film made Akshay Kumar a popular actor after his previous movies including his debut didn't get much recognition amongst the audiences. It also gave him the nickname Khiladi hence he went on to do more series of these kinds of films in the 90s with masala elements.
- DirectorUmesh MehraStarsAkshay KumarRekhaRaveena TandonA man (Akshay Kumar) searches for his missing brother (Inder Kumar) who is also wanted by the police. One of Akshay Kumar's best action movies and the second-best Khiladi film. He shared brilliant chemistry with Raveena Tandon & Rekha.
--
I think the action was choreographed very well which is part of the reason why this film is good.
Akshay Kumar is just superb in Action, Comedy, Romance and Intense scenes. He's very much the life of this film. Rekha was wonderful to watch in her negative role whilst Raveena Tandon was good. - DirectorBharat RangacharyStarsAkshay KumarSuniel ShettyAyesha JhulkaTwo prankster best friends gets unwittingly involved in a terrorist plot and tries their best to save the country. This was Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty's first movie together. It's a typical college 90s backdrop but a lot of mass included in this film made it very entertaining to watch. I felt the chemistry between Akshay and Suniel was superb especially their fight scene together.
Both actors ready stood out well and gave excellent performances respectively - DirectorRajiv RaiStarsAkshay KumarSuniel ShettyRaveena TandonA journalist comes to the aid of a murderer with a life sentence when she makes an appeal in court and although he is given his freedom, they soon discover that there is a grim reason behind his release. One of the best action movies of all time and this is the reason why Akshay Kumar and Suniel are my favourite combo. Akshay was very good but it was Suniel and Naseer who both stole the show with their outstanding performances.
--
So many good action scenes and excellent twists that take you on the edge of your seats. Although the climax between Akshay & Naseer was copied from a Hong Kong movie called Hard-Boiled but it was still good. It's the fact that you can feel the tension and intensity with all three actors including Suniel as well.
As for the songs, they are so evergreen. - DirectorSikander BhartiStarsAkshay KumarAshwini BhaveFarheenLieutenant Suraj Dutt successfully fails an arms dealing on the border. He soon comes on leave and goes to meet his sister Mini where he comes across Alka.Alka and Sooraj soon fall in love and get married life is going very cheerful to everyone in between Minnie's marriage gets arranged to Pankaj son of Gajraj Chaudhary.Suraj notices that Pankaj is the same person who was dealing with arms on the border and gets him and Gajraj arrested.Minnie is left broken heart but Vijay comes froward to accept her and their a marriage is arranged but before that Suraj has to leave for a mission.Few days later his father Yashpal Dutt ,Alka and Minnie get the news of Suraj's death from different people but all decide to keep it as a secret from everyone as his sudden death might shatter the family.Nice movie and one of Akshay Kumar underrated gems. Story was good and easy to follow whereas screenplay works in my opnion. Not only did Akshay excelled in Action but good in romance as well hence I liked his chemistry with Ashwani Bhave.
Kitini Hasrat Hain is a very good song. - DirectorSameer MalkanStarsAkshay KumarSaif Ali KhanShilpa Shetty KundraA Bombay police officer seeks revenge when his brother is killed by a powerful underworld figure. Things get complicated when a matinee movie idol begins to shadow the policeman so he can research a movie role.Good Action/Comedy. So many moments in this film that made this movie memorable and laugh riot. Fact Saif Ali Khan was such a good choice for role shows how good his comic timing is as a versatile actor. Akshay Kumar plays a cop which he does act well in. Their chemistry was superb and I think Main Khiladi Tu Anari was their best film these two have done together.
Chura Ke Dil Mera is an evergreen song and wonderfully shot in Mauritius. It's one of my favourite songs in the 90s era. - DirectorUmesh MehraStarsAkshay KumarMamta KulkarniMohnish BehlA police officer impersonates his murdered twin brother in order to bring his killers to justice.Another good Action/Comedy from Akshay Kumar. Sabse Bada Khiladi was a Hit at the Box Office but its a good mass entertainer. I don't think anybody could have done this film better than Khiladi himself Akshay. He plays a cop but he gets to do comedy as well in his other role as Lallu. Frankly, his comic timing was superb but he's fantastic in Action as always.
This film had some good twist where Akshay tells Mamta Kulkarni that he's Vijay and not Lallu. Only one small problem is that it was not explained how he survived after he was killed by Mamta and Mohnish Bahl.
Nonetheless. this is one of Akshay Kumar's best movies. - DirectorNaresh MalhotraStarsKajolAkshay KumarSaif Ali KhanA poor girl is rebuked by a rich boy. She leaves town to return successful and rich. He falls for her but his brother is already in love with the girl.Very good Romance/Comedy movie. Akshay Kumar and Kajol were a very unique pair but yet they shared good chemistry together.
Akshay Kumar is good in a matured role and he looks convincing in romance. Kajol looks very pretty in this film and she gave a superb performance. Got to hand it to Saif Ali Khan for his comedy act and his dancing steps for the Ole Ole song. - DirectorKuku KohliStarsAjay DevgnAkshay KumarKarisma KapoorCollegian Ajay Sharma was born on 2 April 1968 and lives in Bombay with his widowed mom Asha. He is friendly with fellow-collegian Raj Sinha, from a wealthy family. Ajay often gets beaten up by goons and Raj gets beaten up by his girlfriend Madhu. After they graduate from college, Raj's maternal uncle asks Ajay to bring his birth certificate so he can make his passport and find work for him in a department store in Canada. Ajay goes home to look for his birth certificate, but is unable to locate it. His mother makes a show of helping him, but instead tears a document and throws it away. Ajay puts the document together and finds out that his real name is Ajay Malhotra and that his father, Dr. Ravi Malhotra, is still alive, serving a life sentence in prison for killing a patient and stealing the organs from the body. Ajay questions his mother and finds out that his dad was framed by the hospital owner, Rai Bahadur. He and Asha meet Ravi in prison and swear to avenge his humiliation. He and Raj then set out to collect evidence, unaware that Raj's dad, Dr. Sinha, was himself involved in Ravi's false conviction and will not hesitate in joining forces with Rai Bahadur to eliminate all possible evidence, and if necessary kill both Ajay and Asha.Good masala entertainer. Suhaag is a very underrated movie but still good blend of Action, Comedy, Romance & Family Drama. Story is good which mainly revolves around Ajay Devgn trying out the identity of his biological father.
Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn shared excellent chemistry in this film. Not to mention, Akki's comic timing is just fab and he was very funny to watch. Ajay is superb in emotional scene and he emotes very well with his intense eyes as well. - DirectorSunil AgnihotriStarsAkshay KumarAyesha JhulkaChandniTwins Jai and Kishen reunite together to fight against the perpetrators who killed their father and had them separated.Excellent film. Akshay Kumar was good in his double role, especially where he played the role of a blind person.
- DirectorGuddu DhanoaStarsAkshay KumarUrmila MatondkarAnupam KherTrouble ensues when Raja is framed for crimes that actually committed by his evil lookalike Rocky, and the former must prove his innocence and eliminate his nemesis.Very good movie with Action, Comedy & Romance. Akshay Kumar previously did roles like Jai Kishen but this one quite difference hence I was suprised to see him play negative role. It wasn't a Hit at the Box Office but I enjoyed this film. Akshay Kumar and Urmila were paired up for first time and they do have good chemsitry. I think Akshay was good as the hero but he was decent in his other role as the villain.
- DirectorMahesh BhattStarsAkshay KumarNagarjuna AkkineniPooja BhattA Bangalore-based police officer is told to go undercover in Mumbai, infiltrate the gang run by his childhood friends and bring them to justice.Good film and an excellent story. Mahesh Bhatt movies were mostly remakes but he was good handling the screenplay. This movie is a good example because the script was genuine and well made. Akshay Kumar played cop roles many times in the 90s but this one is different and he acts very well.
- DirectorSuneel DarshanStarsAkshay KumarKarisma KapoorShilpa Shetty KundraA ruthless criminal mends his criminal ways after he meets an abandoned child and takes utmost care of him. However, the shadows of the past continues to haunt him.Akshay Kumar had many flops from 1997 -1999 and was going through a low phase in his career. However, Jaanwar was his comeback which was a Semi Hit at the Box Office and it broke his Flop streak.
It's not typical hero role, in fact, it's a different character that Akshay had not before. He played the role of an adoptive father which he performs superbly especially in Intense scenes.
This film is overall good and has an excellent story with good characterisation from Akshay. - DirectorPriyadarshanStarsAkshay KumarSuniel ShettyParesh RawalThree unemployed men look for answers to all their money problems - but when their opportunity arrives, will they know what to do with it?One of my favourite comedy movies of all time in Indian Cinema. This film is a total laugh riot with funny moments that keep you entertained. I felt this trio from Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal were fab and bonded very well with each other. That's what makes their chemistry very good in this film.
Akshay's comic timing simply superb in one of his best performances. Paresh is funny and acts wonderfully. Suniel suits his role and gave a good performance. - DirectorAbbas Alibhai BurmawallaMastan Alibhai BurmawallaStarsAkshay KumarBobby DeolKareena KapoorA newlywed couple, Raj and Priya, move to Switzerland and become friends with their new neighbors, Vicky and Sonia. But one day, Raj is accused of Sonia's murder and goes on the run in order to prove his innocence.Excellent movie with good twists that is directed very well in this movie. Akshay Kumar delivers an outstanding performance in his negative role and I don't think anybody could have done better like he did. Bobby Deol was good as well and suits his role
- DirectorRajkumar SantoshiStarsAmitabh BachchanAkshay KumarAjay DevgnA team of police force escorts an alleged terrorist from Chandangarh to Mumbai. However their trip turns into a deadly survival when an ex-cop tries to stop them to reach Mumbai. One of the best cop movies and an excellent cast. Story was superb and this film is complete cat and mouse with Ajay Devgn playing the baddie. This film has a good twist especially the scene where Akshay Kumar is betrayed by Aishwarya Rai. Akshay made his death scene look convincing with good body language.
Frankly, this movie belongs to Ajay Devgn & Amitabh Bachchan. However, Akshay did a good job in this role as the cop. - DirectorVipul Amrutlal ShahStarsAmitabh BachchanAkshay KumarSushmita SenAfter a temperamental man is unceremoniously stripped of his duties as a bank manager, he decides to seek revenge by robbing the bank, for which he trains three blind men.Aankhen is quite an unsual movie but it's a very good heist film. Its screenplay captivates your attention and gives curiosity as to what will happen next in each scene. Akshay Kumar was excellent playing the role of a blind guy whilst Amitabh Bachchan gave an amazing as the baddie. Honestly, this film deserves mainly because of the ending but I know it won't happen.
- DirectorNeeraj VoraStarsAkshay KumarSuniel ShettyParesh RawalBaburao, Raju and Shyam are living happily after having risen from rags to riches. Still, money brings the joy of riches and with it the greed to make more money. And so, with a don as an unknowing investor, Raju initiates a new game.Technically, this movie was a remake of Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. To be frank, this movie was funny and no where near as good as the prequel Hera Pheri but still entertaining. Trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty & Paresh Rawal were delight to watch and all three of them gave outstanding performance. Rajpal Yadav is superb and will make you laugh with is fab comic timing.
- DirectorDavid DhawanStarsSalman KhanAkshay KumarPriyanka Chopra JonasSameer, fast at losing his temper is re-located to Goa where he falls in love with Rani. But Sameer's new roommate Sunny, has some plans of his own.Very good comedy which brought Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan together for the first time. These two had excellent chemistry where both try to outdo one another in this entertaining script. Do watch out for twist in ending because it was good. Salman Khan was good but I think Akshay Kumar's performance was better.
- DirectorPriyadarshanStarsAkshay KumarJohn AbrahamParesh RawalA rib tickling tale of two flirts who constantly flirt with women despite one of them being engaged. Chaos ensues when the fiancé finds out that her to-be groom is cheating on her.Well, it didn't have a proper story but still a good comedy because Priyadarshan is a gem when it comes to writing a good script. This film had so many laugh out loud moments hence Akshay Kumar was funny to watch. He's one of the best actors in terms of comedy because it comes with heart. John Abraham, Rajpal Yadav & Paresh Rawal are very good in this film but its an Akshay movie all the way.
- DirectorNeeraj PandeyStarsAkshay KumarAnupam KherManoj BajpayeeA gang of con-men rob prominent rich businessmen and politicians by posing as C.B.I and income tax officers. One of Akshay Kumar's best movies which was based on the 1987 Opera House heist that happened in Mumbai.
I enjoyed this movie a lot. There some excellent twist that were good esepcially the climax was one the best parts of this film. Akshay Kumar gives a good performance whilst Anupam Kher and Manoj Bajpayee were both excellent. - DirectorShirish KunderStarsSalman KhanAkshay KumarPreity G ZintaFollows a love triangle between Agastya, Suhaan and Piya.I'm not a fan of Rom-Com movies although that are a few that I like. Jaan E Mann is an example because what works is the chemistry with the cast including Akshay Kumar & Salman Khan. I felt both actors gave outstanding performance along with Preity Zinta.
- DirectorAnees BazmeeMayur K. BarotStarsAkshay KumarKatrina KaifNana PatekarA man falls in love with a beautiful woman, but later discovers that her brothers are gangsters.Good comedy. Akki was just as good Anil Kappor, Nana Patekar & Paresh Rawal.
- DirectorVipul Amrutlal ShahStarsAkshay KumarKatrina KaifRishi KapoorA man takes his thoroughly-British daughter to his home country, India. There, he arranges her marriage to someone she considers a fool. The daughter attempts to outwit them, but the groom quietly and patiently hatches his own plan.Excellent movie and very entertaining. Akshay Kumar is outstanding with superb comic timing. His chemistry with Katrina Kaif was superb in this film. I also liked Rishi Kapoor who gave a fantastic performance in his supporting role.
- DirectorPriyadarshanStarsAkshay KumarVidya BalanShiney AhujaAn NRI and his wife decide to stay in his ancestral home, paying no heed to the warnings about ghosts. Soon, inexplicable occurrences cause him to call a psychiatrist to help solve the mystery.Very good film.
- DirectorPrabhu DevaStarsAkshay KumarSonakshi SinhaNassarA con man uncovers a deadly secret and must save his lady love, the small-town locals and the little girl who insists she's his daughter, from the mob. This was Akshay Kumar's comeback in the action genre which he had not done in years. It proved to be a good action movie which was a Blockbuster at the Box Office. I found the fighting sequence a bit unrealistic maybe that's Prabhu Deva's kind of cinema. However, for the most part, It was very an entertaining film and Akshay was superb in both of his roles.
- DirectorA.R. MurugadossStarsAkshay KumarSonakshi SinhaFreddy DaruwalaA military officer attempts to hunt down a terrorist, destroy a terrorist gang and deactivate the sleeper cells under its command.Superb Action/Thriller which was a Hit at the Box Office. Story and screenplay are both engaging with good action done by Akshay Kumar. He gave a good performance and was able to carried this movie on his shoulders.
- DirectorRadha Krishna JagarlamudiStarsAkshay KumarShruti HaasanKareena KapoorAfter a vengeful college professor targets corruption in the government, he adopts the name "Gabbar" and becomes a hero to a weary public.Excellent movie which has social message attached to it. It's an entertaining film which keeps you hooked on with Akshay Kumar who really stood out very well. His dialogue delivery is good and gets into the skin of the character.
- DirectorNeeraj PandeyStarsAkshay KumarDanny DenzongpaRana DaggubatiAn elite counter-intelligence unit learns of a plot, masterminded by a maniacal madman. With the clock ticking, it's up to them to track the terrorists' international tentacles and prevent them from striking at the heart of India.Awesome Spy Thriller. Story is good and film grabs your attention with plenty of Action and Drama followed by some good twist. Akshay Kumar challenged himself by playing this role which performs superbly.
- DirectorNikkhil AdvaniStarsRishi KapoorDimple KapadiaAkshay KumarA talented young Indian cricket player must defy his father's wishes to play for the side of England, a rebellion his siblings quietly cheer.Very underrated movie, I must say. I found the script and story very interesting. It may not appeal to everyone but in my opinion it was a good film. Akshay Kumar deserves credit for trying out something different and I wish he could do more sports movie.
- DirectorAnthony D'SouzaStarsAkshay KumarShiv PandittMithun ChakrabortyAfter his younger son falls prey to a corrupt police officer, an honest old man summons his estranged elder son to save the day.Good action film. Akshay Kumar proves why he is the boss of this movie. Only problem had with this film was the fighting scene in the climax which was good but slow-motion was irritating and unnecessary.
- DirectorRaja MenonStarsAkshay KumarNimrat KaurKumud MishraWhen Iraq invades Kuwait in August 1990, a callous Indian businessman becomes the spokesperson for more than 170,000 stranded countrymen. This film has such a great story, in fact, one of the best patriotic movies in Indian Cinema. It's connected with lots of emotions especially Akshay Kumar's scenes. Unlike Rustom, Akshay should have been given an National Award Winner for his superb performance.
- DirectorTinu Suresh DesaiStarsAkshay KumarIleana D'CruzArjan BajwaA naval officer returns home to find out about his wife's affair. Soon, he surrenders after murdering the lover but as the case unfolds, it starts to reveal his hidden intention.Brilliant Thriller with excellent twists which is handled very well in this film. Akshay Kumar really does a good job getting into the skin of his character. He's superb in terms of his body language with dialogue delivery especially in the court scenes.
However, I don't think he deserved a National Award for his performance which hard to say because Akshay is one of my favourite actors. He should have gotten it for his acting in Airlift which was better. - DirectorSubhash KapoorStarsAkshay KumarHuma QureshiSaurabh ShuklaJolly is a clumsy lawyer who is faced with representing the most critical court case of his career.Excellent film although I won't say its an actual sequel. Akshay Kumar was a perfect choice for this film and it was refreshing to see him play a lawyer.
- DirectorShree Narayan SinghStarsAkshay KumarAnupam KherDivyendu SharmaA woman threatens to leave her husband unless he installs a toilet in their home. To win back her love and respect, he heads out on a journey to fight against the backward society. One of Akshay Kumar's best movies. It was a great privilege watching this film because I was very attached to the story. This has a social message regarding women who demand toilets built in their homes which is important for them compared to men. Pretty much everything you see in this film is common sense as there's a difference between women and men needing a toilet.
Akshay gives a wonderful performance as usual. Bhumi Pednekar who is newbie is good in her part.
This movie was a Super Hit at the Box Office. It showed that good content always wins.
