- DirectorTeona Strugar MitevskaStarsVictoria AbrilLabina MitevskaJean-Marie GaleyTwo different mothers in two different worlds. The first one from comes from the western world, lives in France and after a tragic lost of her child is trying to continue living and find purpose of it. The other is coming from completely different world, very traditional, patriarchal society, where things change very slowly and where the women are married as exchange for money. The first one wants to die, the other wants to live. Their parallel paths converge when the one from the western society comes in the world of the other in the east. This intrusion turns, unintentionally and unconsciously into a very violent one.
- DirectorTeona Strugar MitevskaStarsLeon RistovHanis BagashovDragan MishevskiDay before Easter 2012, perfectly lined up bodies of four teenagers, each with a bullet hole in their head, were found near a lake just outside Skopje, Macedonian capital. They just went fishing. The nation was shocked. The rumours run wild. Ethnic tensions were boiling. The police investigation, officially named "Monsters", pointed to Islamists terrorists. Two years later, court jailed four persons for murder and terrorism. The alleged perpetrators deny the act. This film is fiction about what could have happened that day, those hours before the tragedy stroke. Through the film we live the last day in the life of six youngsters. It is a reconstruction of Macedonian grim reality, not of the actual events. It is a film about a country where life can cease suddenly without a cause, as it is lived.

Her father is protesting on the sacred mountain Mauna Kea against the establishment of a gigantic telescope. On a neighboring mountain, six NASA scientists practice living on Mars, and under the ground and the water, the Kilauea volcano quivers fatefully. The scientific view of the world and the cosmology of the indigenous people are both components of Sarah Christman's feature debut. With an artist's eye for details and plenty of time for amazement, Swarm Season draws fascinating parallels between the micro- and macrocosm, and challenges our understanding of nature, the world and ourselves. The form is sensory, impressionistic and free, with space for our own interpretations, while also razor-sharp, when Christman observes the bees, their necessary swarming and the intricate engineering of their hives as a prism to look at all life around us. If honey bees - one of the most robust and cooperative species on this planet - are threatened with extinction, what future does humanity have on Earth?

- DirectorGianluca MatarreseMy family was at the head of a shoe store empire in Italy. The business is currently on the verge of bankruptcy and the family is burdened with debts. I have lived in Paris for eighteen years, where I work for television. I'm a reality TV director. Like the prodigal son, I decided to return to my home country to make my first film, a modern fable with a touch of Italian-style social tragicomedy. This is the story of my return to my roots. I was fortunate enough to be born and raised in a family of ordinary, colourful heroes who fight the destiny that tries to bind them to a life crushed by debt. To support them in this daily struggle, I did what I know best: I made this film.

Following the tides of the wind, her camera slowly encounters the void of stillness. The natural scenery evolves into a simile for an emotional landscape.
- DirectorFlatformThe film engages in an ironic game with the viewer's faith in the chronological coherence of an apparently realistic scene, surprising us with repeated loops of one shot that thus become an illusionary representation of the passing of the months. Time-lapse photography allows for unexpected leaps or makes it possible to persevere through the ups and downs of life.

- DirectorGiuseppe Boccassini"La notte salva" (The saved night) is a path of sensations that attempts to gather around its nature without revealing it, without opening itself to any human language. Rather, as an animal's night call, it exists vanishing in its own closure and muteness. The film reestablishes itself onto its state of unsolved, lost and forgotten space, as a world without name, experiencing itself as a simple gesture, dreamily suspended through its own electric tension, far from any sort of destination, salvation, redemption. G.B.
- DirectorFrank BeauvaisJanuary 2016. The love story that brought me to this village in Alsace where I live ended six months ago. At 45, I am now alone, without a car, a job or any real prospects, surrounded by luxuriant nature, the proximity of which is not enough to calm the deep distress into which I am plunged. France, still in shock from the November terror attacks, is in a state of emergency. I feel helpless, I suffocate with contained rage. I am lost and I watch four to five films a day. I decide to record this stagnation, not by picking up a camera but by editing shots from the stream of films I watch.

- DirectorJohn SkoogStarsAron SkoogAgnieszka PodsiadlikBillie ÅstrandA story composed of fragments of lives lived in the periphery. Based on stories gathered and formed among the people who live in the region, Ridge turns the setting into the film's node and main character. But like shadows over the landscape, some protagonists are distinguished: Beata, a seasonal worker who comes to Sweden for the first time, Aaron, a young man with a broken heart returning to the place where he grew up, and Billie, a girl lost in her first summer vacation. As the film follows their lives, which slowly merge with the landscape, a map is drawn of the confusion between machines, people and animals. It becomes clear how they all depend on each other, in this era where the future is obscured by man's violent imprint on the planet.
