A natural talent with a striking presence, Haley Bennett continues to establish herself as one of Hollywood's most dynamic actresses.
Upcoming, Bennett will star opposite Austin Stowell in Carlo Mirabella-Davis's SWALLOW, on which she also serves as an executive producer. Bennett plays 'Hunter,' a pregnant, young housewife, whose seemingly perfect existence takes an alarming turn when she begins compulsively and uncontrollably eating dangerous objects. The film made its world premiere at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, garnering massive critical acclaim, including Bennett's award for Best Actress. The film later appeared at the 2019 Deauville Film Festival, where it was awarded the Prix spécial du 45E and nominated for the Grand Special Prize. IFC Films is set to release the film in March 2020.
Following, Bennett will be seen in Ron Howard's HILLBILLY ELEGY for Netflix. Amy Adams and Glenn Close co-star in the film. Based on J.D. Vance's bestselling memoir that follows three generations of an Appalachian family as told by its youngest member, a Yale law student is forced to return to his hometown. Australian actress Emily Browning was born in 1988 in Melbourne, Australia, to Shelley and Andrew Browning. She has two younger brothers. Her start in acting came after a classmate's father, involved in the acting business, noticed her "acting all ditsy" in a school play. Emily found an agent and was soon filming on location for the Hallmark TV-movie, The Echo of Thunder (1998). She received more roles from there, including parts in The Man Who Sued God (2001), opposite Billy Connolly, and Ned Kelly (2003), opposite Heath Ledger and Orlando Bloom. In that film, she had to hug Heath Ledger, and she said that all of her friends, who went to see the film, at the same time sent her a barrage of text messages about how lucky she was! Emily says she tries to avoid "cheesy" movies, and her big break came when she was on a press tour in LA for Ghost Ship (2002), that was filmed in Australia and released in America. In the same year, she won an Australian Film Institute Award for Best Young Actress, and was nominated for the same award, the next year. Emily received some scripts when she was in LA and sent in a video audition for A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004). She received a call and was asked to come to LA for a proper audition, which won her the part. She spent months in LA filming, for the second time acting opposite Billy Connolly. On July 20, 2006, Osment was injured in a one-car accident. His blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.16%, twice the legal limit in California. On August 18, he was charged with four misdemeanors, including driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of marijuana while driving. He pleaded no contest on October 19 and was sentenced to three years' probation, 60 hours in an alcohol-rehabilitation and education program, a fine of $1,500, and a minimum requirement of 26 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings over a six-month period.
In 2006, Osment took a hiatus from Hollywood and studied acting at the Experimental Theatre Wing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with Honors and a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in 2011. A born entertainer, Julianne Hough (pronounced "Huff") always loved singing, dancing and acting. At age 10, she was presented with an opportunity to study performing arts in London, which established her fierce independence and was the beginning of a period of intense training and education. Canadian actor Michael Cera was born in Brampton, Ontario, to parents who worked for Xerox. Janel Parrish is an American actress and singer who portrayed Mona Vanderwaal in Pretty Little Liars (2010).
She was born Janel Meilani Parrish on October 30, 1988 in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, to parents Joanne (Mew) and Mark Phillip Parrish. Her mother is of Chinese descent and her father is Caucasian. Irish actor Robert Sheehan was born in Portlaoise, County Laois, the son of Joseph and Maria Sheehan. His father was a member of the Garda Síochána, the police force of the Republic of Ireland. As a child, Sheehan was interested in performing music. He learned how to play the banjo, the bodhrán, and the spoons. He took part in the Fleadh Cheoil, an Irish music competition for children and teenagers.
His interest in acting started when his mother took him to an audition for the drama film Song for a Raggy Boy (2003), about an oppressive school for boys during World War II. Actress and screenwriter Nicole Houston Reed was born in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Cheryl Houston, a hairdresser and beautician, and Seth Reed, a set designer. Chris Wood was born in Dublin, Ohio. During childhood, Wood spent all of his free time writing plays and putting them on with his sister and their friends. Once he got his first super-8 camera at eleven years old, he began writing and directing short films which he entered into local film festivals. This included PROBLEM: SOLUTION, the story of a boy who drops his contact lens, only to discover that he is out of contact solution. Critics said it was "...pretty good."
Wood attended public school at Dublin Jerome High School, where he was encouraged by his drama teacher to pursue acting and writing professionally. In his senior year, his school theater program mounted a play that he wrote about a talking dead body that is discovered on a business' rooftop. His mom didn't love it.
