- StarsNam Joo-hyukKim Ji-yeonChoi Hyun-wookIn a time when dreams seem out of reach, a teen fencer pursues big ambitions and meets a hardworking young man who seeks to rebuild his life.Series is running right now with episodes being released once a week. Leading male actor Nam Joo-hyuk and leading female actress Kim Tae-ri both make the series exciting and worth watching. I can't get enough of male actor Nam Joo-hyuk but this time I actually am really liking female actress Kim Tae-ri as well. It is extremely romantic, cute and fun to watch. The couple's chemistry is undeniable and it is worth watching to eventually see them make the "real" love connection and kiss. #TwentyFiveTwentyOne
- StarsBae SuzyNam Joo-hyukKim Seon-hoYoung entrepreneurs aspiring to launch virtual dreams into reality compete for success and love in the cutthroat world of Korea's high-tech industry. My 2 favorite male actors star in this romantic series revolving around a start-up business - Nam Joo-hyuk and Kim Seon-ho. Whenever either one of the actors star in a series it is worth putting on your watchlist for Netflix. #Startup #KDrama
- StarsShin Min-aKim Seon-hoGina SuA big-city dentist opens up a practice in a close-knit seaside village, home to a charming jack-of-all-trades who is her polar opposite in every way.Kim Seon-ho is the male leading actor in this series. Whenever he is in the series it is worth putting on our watchlist for Netflix. There is something special about Kim Seon-ho that makes you want to watch. He has a real romantic side and a special sense of humor to go with it. #HometownChaChaCha
- StarsSong Ji-eunSung HoonKim Jae-youngJin-wook and Yoo-mi meet at a Gangwon-do resort and get caught up in a series of misunderstandings and accidents.Funniest Romantic Comedy ever! About a one night stand and an office romance. Just hysterical and you will not want to shut the TV off. Every single episode is the greatest, however I just can't forget episode 8. The most romantic and funniest of all. #MySecretRomance
- CreatorJung SeoStarsHan So-heeSong KangCheska AguiluzThe intoxicating charm of a flirtatious art school classmate pulls a reluctant love cynic into a friends-with-benefits relationship.Song Kang is the leading actor in this somewhat racy K-Drama in that he makes "friends with benefits" if you know what I mean, but is up front with it from the get go with the girls that he doesn't "date". He seems to be a bit weird and cold thinking of them as his kaleidoscope of butterflies. He is so romantic that his gaze makes the girls melt in his arms. He pulls off the role so well that despite the girls he hurts, you can't help loving him and hating him at the same time and end up really loving him in the end. #Butterflies #Nevertheless
- StarsLee Min-hoPark Shin-hyeKim Woo-binAfter a chance encounter in LA, two teens from different social backgrounds reunite at an exclusive high school attended by Korea's über rich.Called "The Inheritors" in the US on Netflix. Starring male lead Lee Min-Ho as Kim Tan who fits the role perfectly as a handsome edgy inheritor with a bad boy image. This romantic and emotionally dramatic series is centered around a privileged private school where the hierarchy is determined by how successful and rich your father is and what you have to gain as an inheritance. The lowest students in the hierarchy are those that are there as a student in need. The students are 18 and are all struggling with first loves, friendships, career paths and family issues and "arranged fiancés". Because of the different hierarchies one former friend of Tan, a school punk takes on the role bullying the less fortunate. The story begins in LA, California, in the US where Tan has been living for 3 years in a mansion where he was sent to be exiled from the family, where he meets his first real love, learns a lot about loneliness and returns to Korea to make amends with his family. Many ups and Dows about love, life, what's important, what's not. #Inheritors
- StarsAhn Hyo-seopKim SejeongKim Min-kyuIn disguise as her friend, Ha-ri shows up to a blind date to scare him away. But plans go awry when he turns out to be her CEO - and makes a proposal.I can't get enough of The Office Blind Date (A Business Proposal in the US on Netflix). It is the most hysterical corporate K-drama I have ever watched and just finished Episode 3 and 4. I couldn't stop laughing for practically any moment, and that says a lot because not much makes me laugh. It is a good thing that I have to wait another week for Episode 5 because I don't think I could stand that much laughter in one day. I love the leading male, Aho Hyo-Seop as Kang Tae Mu and also the leading female Se-Jeong Kim as Shin Ha Ri. I very rarely mention a female star so that says a lot about Se-Jeong Kim; she brings so much to the show. #BusinessProposal #OfficeBlindDate
- CreatorKim Bo-TongStarsKim Seong-gyoonSon Suk-kuJung Hae-inA young private's assignment to capture army deserters reveals the painful reality endured by each enlistee during his compulsory call of duty. This Netflix K-Drama focusing on compulsory military service in South Korea is definitely worth watching. I never watch war themed shows and only watched it after a search for the lead actor which I loved in other K-Drama. So if I say it is worth watching, that says a lot because normally I would have turned something like that off. But it intrigued me from the beginning because I was wondering what the "D.P." was. That mystery title is divulged in the first episode and I suddenly realized what this show was all about. I was surprised to see my favorite actor in such a serious role, and he did an excellent job. Jung Have-in played Private Aho Joon-ho, who grew up street fighting to protect himself and his sister and mother, was disadvantaged, and had an abusive step-dad, and is empathetic to those that get bullied. He had no connections whatsoever. He himself was immediately bullied by the upper ranks during basic training and managed to standout during his placement interview. He had no real previous skills other than delivering pizza but because of his height was placed on the military police detail. Very soon, he was chosen to go "outside" to find deserters and bring them back. The other senior elites are wondering why this junior is chosen so quick to go "outside". His first trip outside changes him and the way he thinks about everything and you will have to watch to see why. There is violence, fights, blood, but also empathetic scenes and lessons to be learned from the series. Season 2 will be coming soon. #DP #KDrama
- StarsKim Dong-HeePark Ju-hyunJung Da-binA model high school student who's steeped in a world of serious crime finds his double life upended when a classmate takes an interest in his secret.Saw this on Netflix in the US. Considering this K-Drama is about Highschool students I would say the subject matter is a little too adult and violent and unrealistic, but it was still captivating to watch. The main character played by Kim Dong-Hee, Jisoo, is a really nice studious nerd who is one of the smartest and a top student in the school. His main aspiration in life is to graduate and to live a normal life and to get a job that makes enough money to start his own family. His dream is driven by the fact that he is living completely on his own due to his loser parents who left him alone to fend for himself and also some of his choice not to be around his father as well. Somewhat street smart from his father's activities, he starts his own business in which he brokers "security" for compensated dates that he also sets up. He has his financial goal all figured out on how much he will need to pay his tuition, and to complete his dream, pay housing etc. It is only when he allows girls into his life at the prompting of a counselor because he had no friends that things start to take a turn for the worse. The business gets him in deeper than he ever expected. The ending of the show can be interpreted more than one way I think and am wondering if there was thoughts of a second season or not, or if my interpretation to the ending was was I was thinking. I would love to see a second season though. #Extracurricular
- StarsSeo Hyeon-jinLee Min-kiLee Da-heeThe series tells the love story of Han Se Gye, an actress who must spend one week out of each month living in someone else's body, and Seo Do Jae, a man who suffers from Prosopagnosia.Love is the key to happiness right? Well, this K-dram Title kept coming up on my list and I kept passing it by. After watching too many shows with evil in it, was looking for something that looked like it would have romance comedy and be happy. After I clicked on the trailer and heard the song I had a good feeling and so glad I watched it.
At first the theme reminiscent of shape shifting or as the characters called it "change" was a strange concept but the more you watched it the more interesting it got. It was the romance and love story between Lee Min-ki who played Seo Do-jae and. Seo Hyun-jin who played an Se-gye. They had a good chemistry and Lee Min-ki was casted perfectly to play the part of someone who was lonely and emotionless and also somewhat naive due to a car accident that he had which caused him serious health issues.
There was a second romance and love story featuring Lee Tae-ri as Jung Joo-hwan a very handsome, smart, popular, nice guy who is making the decision to become a priest who happens to meet the bad-girl sister of Seo Do-Jae. Jung Joo-hwan was cast perfect to play this part as well.
You can be sure to find much romance in this k-drama as well as many hysterical comical scenes, learn many lessons regarding inner beauty, love, relationships with lovers, friends and family.
There is a twist near the ending that is unexpected so make sure to watch the whole series. I appreciate that the actual ending took more than one episode. I agree with some of the other reviews that maybe the ending could have been just a little bit different but still liked it enough to give it a 10 rating since 9 1/2 is not avail. #KDrama #BeautyInside - CreatorGwang JinStarsPark Seo-joonKim Da-miYoo Jae-myungAn ex-con opens a street bar in Itaewon, while also seeking revenge on the family who was responsible for his father's death.Itaewon Class was the best K-Drama I have seen from the beginning to the ending and is heart wrenching. Park Seo-joon is an amazing actor who played the lead Park Sae-ro-yi and no other actor would have been able to portray him as well in my opinion. He is emotionless, stern, unwavering in seeking revenge, determined, smart, defending, a risk taker, a bit of a fool, understanding, caring and loving all in one character. You have to admire him for his good work. The series itself is captivating every single episode. The series also deals with a couple of social issues in an understanding way. #ItaewonClass #KDrama
- StarsLee Dong-wookLee Sang-wooSon Sung-yoonA romance between a lawyer and a top actress, whose life goes downhill after becoming caught up in a scandal with a third generation chaebol. She fakes her position to become the lawyer's secretary in order to star in a famous writer's drama.Saw this on Netflix. There couldn't be a cuter couple than the characters Kwon Junk-row and Oh Yoon-Seo. They worked so well together. It is so funny as the straight laced serious all business top lawyer gets paired with a volunteer who wants to secretly study the role of a lawyer so she can get the acting job since she has not been able to land a role since a scandal. There is only a 3 month contract and then it's over. The lawyer doesn't know this secret about the acting role though and thinks that she really wants to work in the field. She soon starts to comically loosen him up and he starts to really enjoy having her there. Lee Dong-wook is perfect for the lawyer role as he suits the serious business role perfectly and then gets cuter as it goes along starting with a little smile and goes from there. So do they fall in love? Guess you will have to watch it and see. Very worth watching. #TouchYourHeart
- StarsJi Chang-wookKim Ji-wonKim Min-SeokHeart stolen by a free-spirited woman after a beachside romance, a passionate architect sets out to reunite with her on the streets of Seoul.Lovestruck in the City on Netflix, a K-Drama that had an interesting, different way of couples telling the stories of their first loves - an interview/documentary format where they are being asked questions and they go back into their past memories to tell the story of their first loves and upon telling their stories, start to get suspicious if their true loves were also being interviewed. Their side of the story may have a different prospective then what each of them believed at the time. Very interesting and profound how a summer romance can change one's life forever. The lead actor Ji Chang-wook was excellent at playing Park Jae-won an architect who takes a month Long Beach break who meets a fun woman the first day he gets there that steals his heart and he ends up seriously loving her, staying an extra month as they decide to have their own wedding (sans the certificate) before going back to reality in Seoul to work. As he is telling his story in the interview he starts to get driven crazy and wants his questions answered and the way he goes crazy makes you believe it - his acting skills are so good. Very fun drama to watch. #LovestruckInTheCity
- StarsIm Si-wanLee Sung-minKang So-raThis a Drama series about a group of co-workers in their twenties who started their job at a big multinational company. This is a story about their everyday life, about their journey each day at the office.Missing Imcomplete Life in the US on Netflix. I am a little late in finding this great K-Drama on my Netflix list in the US but so glad I finally did. It was compelling and so true to life of a large corporate culture where you have competition to get in, and the team manager always has the worker bee, the connected one, the cute girl, the political ones, the back stabbers, the one's who do it by the book and so on. The lead actor Im Si-wan who plays Jang Geu-ra was the perfect fit for the role and was an award winning actor in my eyes. He got in the company through a connection - Geu-ra was in training to be the Korean Game of Go Pro while in grade school beat the Pros and was a literal genius in the game. He quit Highschool and took the GED so that he could continue on his Pro training until his father passed away which forced him to quit his training and get a job to support his mother. Not having a Highschool diploma, his mother relied on his pro championship connections from the President of the Company for a job after working many menial part time jobs that went no where. He was smarter than any college graduate in problem solving skills and philosophy in most ways but innocent in many other ways such as never even knew how to use a copy machine for example. He soon started using the principles of the GO game in his job to start winning over all the college grads. Through the many ups and downs of successes and failures, this teaches how to never give up but to stick to it and win. #Misaeng #ImcompleteLife
- StarsIm Si-wanShin Se-KyungSooyoung ChoiVeering off course from his preset path, a track star follows his own pace and heart for the first time after a film translator steps into his lifeRun On in the US on Netflix. Thanks to the stars and actors Siwan and Kang who played Ki Seon-gyeom and Lee Yeong-hwa this series had the cutest and most hysterical scenes ever! I originally passed it over thinking that this would be a boring running K-Drama but was I wrong. This was not boring at all; it was the cutest romantic K-Drama with the funniest scenes. I am so glad I watched it and had plenty of touching scenes in it as well as we learned about what it is like to be a National Athlete and the trials they are put through. I promise you won't regret watching this series. Siwan is a few years older since his last series that I watched and you can tell he has been training as he is really looking good. Siwan plays the National Athlete in the series who retires early due to circumstances on the team and his father's interferences and Kang plays the student artist who brings so much to the series with the second love story that you just can't miss. I hope to see more of both of them on Netflix in the future. #RunOn #Siwan #Kang
- StarsIm Soo-hyangCha Eun-wooJo Woo-riKang Mi Rae recovers her self esteem after being bullied as she gets to know Do Kyung Suk after getting plastic surgery. Then she gets called the "Gangnam plastic surgery monster."My ID IS Gangnam Beauty on Netflix. Beauty isn't everything will be the message in this series that revolves around a girl named Kang Mi Rae in middle school who believes she is ugly and decides to have plastic surgery before going off to college to start a new life. During those same years in middle school the most handsome guy in the school experiences loneliness because everyone wants to befriend him because he is handsome and that is the only reason, so he doesn't talk to anyone. The handsome middle schooler character Do Kyung Suk is played by Cha Eun-Woo who does the "perfect" acting job of being "perfect". He notices Kang Mi Rae in middle school since she is alone a lot too and watches her thinking she is funny. As it turns out he ends up going to the same college as her and it doesn't take too long before he recognizes her even with the plastic surgery by her dance moves with her feet. And so the love story romance goes on throughout the story - the ups and downs of beauty and the beast type of story. It is sad at times and lessons to be learned and happy at times too. I hope to see more of Cha Eun-Woo on Netflix in the future. One of my favorite lines in the movie is "parallel lines never meet". #GangnamBeauty #Cha
- StarsLee Na-youngLee Jong-sukJeong Eu-geneA gifted writer who's the youngest editor-in-chief ever at his publishing company gets enmeshed in the life of a former copywriter desperate for a job.Romance Is A Bonus Book in Netflix. A romance story where best friends from childhood due to an accident where Kang Dan Yi saves Cha Eun Ho's life as a boy from a car hitting him and suffers from broken legs and arm bones that takes a year to heal. For that whole year Cha Eun Ho reads her books while she is in bed recovering and they form a special bond and remain friends for over 10 years. He always had a secret crush on her but she marries someone else and even though she almost ran away from her groom at the alter, she still ended up getting married. Years later after the divorce, Cha Eun Ho gets his opportunity at love again, thus the romance and the story reads like a novel. Lee Jong-Suk plays the lead Cha Eun Ho and is the perfect actor for the role and is the handsome author in the publishing firm that Kang Dan Yi takes a minuscule job below her talents due to the fact no one wants to give her a job because of her age. The series is set around this publishing firm. I think the ending could have been a little better although I would consider it a happy one.#RomanceIsABonusBook. #LeeJongSuk
- StarsAhn Bo-hyunPark Jin-jooKim Bo-raA romantic comedy about a talented gallery curator named Sung Duk Mi, who is an idol fan-girl underneath her professional veneer. Meanwhile, her boss Ryan becomes a passionate fan-boy of her.Her Private Life - I watched it on Netflix. It is a well worth watching K-Drama and so glad I did. There is so much I loved about this K-drama hard to pick where to begin. My favorite scene and saying from the series is when both Ryan Gold and Sung Deok-mi first meet at the art auction, sitting next to each other - Sung Deok-mi notices how handsome Ryan is and gets caught starring at him. Ryan turns to her and says "1987 original art, do you want it?" (meaning himself). So it begins.... the interactions and relationships and comparisons to art/love/family/tender moments, mystery all come to play in the series. Just when you think you have the twist/or twists figured out, there is more - so yes, it is definitely well worth watching! And it has the kind of ending that I feel really good about. #HerPrivateLife #ONE #RyanGold
- StarsJo Byeong-gyuYoo Joon-sangKim SejeongNoodle shop employees by day and demon hunters by night, the Counters use special abilities to chase down malevolent spirits that prey on humans. The Uncanny Counter on Netflix - Most Fantasy K-Drama I have chosen to watch in the past seemed to be kind of hokey to me but this was absolutely scary, entertaining, and so good that it converted me into giving more Fantasy K-Drama a chance - my usual theme is regular K-Drama or Romantic K-Drama. I chose it since I did a search for the main lead Byeong-gyu Jo who I enjoyed on Skycastle. I got the added bonus of one of my favorite female leads as well Se-Jeong Kim who also played in one of the most popular K-Drama out there called Business Proposal, so I couldn't pass this up. Was so glad as it was action filled in every episode, scared the heck out of me but has lots of lighter moments too throughout the series. It is set around a Noodle Shop by day but a team of "counters" that were chosen set out to fight the evil spirits that have taken over people who kill in order to feed their evil spirit to get stronger. The team members seem to all have some kind of connection to each other - their connection to each other is revealed along the way. The main lead So Moon is a Highschool student that was raised by his grandparents because his 2 detective parents died in a car accident with him when he was a child. So Moon was bullied at school and was one of the chosen "counters" to join the team. Really loved the men and women dressed in black at the ending - was a perfect cute addendum to the end. #UncannyCounter #NoodleShop #Counter

After meeting a mysterious magician at a carnival, she decides to follow her dream.I am so happy to have watched this Musical K-Drama with a great positive message Believe in Yourself! The whole series in 6 episodes and as it turned out that is all that was needed to deliver such a powerful message. This was powerful, mysterious, romantic, musical, with lots of talent. This drama introduced me to Ji Chang-Wook who played the Magician and I will be adding his other works to my watchlist. Everyone should watch this - great Musical K-Drama! Don't miss it. #SoundOfMagic #BelieveInYourself #DoYouBelieveInMagic #JiChangWook
- StarsLee Min-kiKim Ji-wonSon Suk-kuThree siblings, exhausted by the monotony of day-to-day adulthood, seek to find fulfillment and freedom from their humdrum lives. My Liberation Diary at Netflix. I am looking forward to each new episode - I admit at the beginning I thought it was a little slow going, but got better and better as it went along. Now can't wait for each week for the new episodes. My favorite character is Mr. Gu of course, - he is so handsome, mysterious, cool - you just can help but be intrigued by him. My second most favorite character is Yeom Chang-hee who is absolutely hilarious. My favorite scene of his is when he begs Mr Gu to drive his Rolls when he discovers the key. There is a lot of deeper scenes in the series and is not just country scenes but later gets into city scenes as well.
- StarsPark Shin-hyeHyun BinMin Jin-woongAfter suffering a setback following a friend's betrayal Yoo Jin Woo travels to Spain on a business. There, he stays at an old hostel owned by a former classical guitarist Jung Hee Joo. The two get entangled in a mysterious incident.Memories of the Alhambra on Netflix, you've got to believe this is one of the best K-Drama out there!!!! This is a must watch K-Drama. I am hoping for a second season. When I first saw what it was about I was excited to view it as I used to play old school alternative reality games. I can remember playing the Why So Serious? alternate reality game (ARG), The Dark Knight's 2007-2008 viral marketing campaign in Chicago. They had us running all around the street of Chicago and I can remember having to go to a bakery where you could pick up a cake. The first one there got it with a phone inside that rang and gave them insider clues all throughout. So when I saw this I had to watch it and I am amazed the possibilities of how far things have gone since then. The bugs in the game gives us a scary look at how technology can go wrong if we are not careful with it and it was enthralling to watch from beginning to end. I disagree with the others about the ending. I guessed it the last episode about 3/4 the way through and was correct and that was the only ending I could see that was feasible. I can see an opportunity for a 2nd season and hope that Netflix will add one. It is not too late - with COVID I am sure things slowed down for making series, etc and it can still be done. If they don't the ending is still stand-alone good. #MemoriesoftheAlhambra #HyunBin
- StarsEric MoonSeo Hyeon-jinYe Ji-wonA romantic television series about two women who not only share the same name Oh Hae Young but they also share a destiny with the same man, Park Do Kyung, who can see the future.Don't die with regrets is the theme of this K-drama that is part drama, part comedy, and mostly romance. You will love this series so make sure to watch it. "It is such a beautiful story" is a line in one of the episodes nearing the end which really sums up the series. The lead male Eric Moon who plays Park Do Kyung does an excellent job. He is a man with few words in the beginning but has reasons he doesn't express his full feelings to the girl he loves. It takes him a long time to realize why and finally does not want to die with regrets. The series teaches us about living life to the fullest, being embarrassed all the time, worrying about what matters the most, emotional disability and more. If you think you can relate to any of this you should watch it and if you don't think you have anything of this you should watch it anyway because you might not even know how to recognize it. The ending was the best ever - the most hysterically funny of an ending that I can remember in a long time, then fear, then comfort, then happiness. #AnotherMissOh
- StarsLee Sung-kyungKim Young-daeKim Yoon-hyeOh Han Byul leads an entertainment agency's PR team. One of her top clients is star Gong Tae Sung who does no wrong. They went to the same university, where he became her swoon enemy. They bicker but soon develop feelings for one another.Shooting Stars is a romantic comedy intertwined with drama centered around the top star at an entertainment agency and the PR Manager who has the task of managing him. He is a difficult task for the PR Manager all the while she is unaware that he has a secret crush on him. I love the beginning of the show in episode 1 where the top star is shown in Africa where he goes to volunteer for a year. His real reasons for doing this are divulged later in the series as the drama gets revealed. He comes back after a year of volunteerism to continue with his acting career, and he reunites with his former PR Manager again. The lead actor KIM YOUNG DAE plays the top star named Gong Tae Sung at the agency. He does an excellent job on his first lead role and is the perfect fit for the role. He is handsome, romantic, and they couldn't get anyone better. I rarely mention female leads in my reviews as I usually don't like them so much but I actually did like Lee Sung Kyung which is rare for me. After my many reviews on imdb in the US I have only mentioned 2 other females so that is saying a lot. When Gong returns there is a hysterically funny scene where it shows the PR Manager's first mistake with Gong where she accidentally uploaded a story that questioned his manhood (by a misspelling of a word). You will see how it plays out but it is so funny. I want to mention that the K-Drama is showcasing the popular song Your My Shooting Star which is an integral part of the series. Even I recognized it and I live the US so it must be pretty popular. Had to watch it on Viki since it was not avail on Netflix. #ShootingStars #GongTaeSuing
- StarsChoi Tae-joonSooyoung ChoiHwang Chan-sungThe romance between top star Hoo Joon and his anti-fan reporter Lee Geun Young who end up living together. An absolutely adorable romantic comedy. The series will make you smile and is definitely worth watching as hardships of making it in the celebrity world come to light along with hiding relationships, love triangles, loneliness, growing up as a celebrity and falling in love. The only thing is that the title could have been a little less subtle as it is easy to guess how the ending is going to go. #AntiFan
