Mike Youngquist has moved on from his ex, Natalie Mordovtseva, and is ready to get married again and start a family.
During Part 5 of the 90 Day: The Single Life Season 4 Tell All, Mike made a surprise appearance during one of Natalie’s segments.
Not only did Mike serve Natalie with divorce papers – or rather, he had Debbie Johnson, Aka Mama Debbie, do it for him – but he also confirmed that he’s in a new relationship.
Although Natalie and Mike were still legally married during the Tell All, each of them had been dating other people.
Natalie gave love a try with Josh Weinstein, and Mike revealed that there was a new woman in his life.
Mike told host Shaun Robinson that he and his new lady love had been talking for a year and dating for six months.

It’s officially over for Natalie Mordovtseva and Josh Weinstein, and 90 Day: The Single Life viewers are rehashing their relationship.
This week, we watched Natalie end her relationship with Josh in an uncomfortable-to-watch scene.
Natalie met Josh for lunch, but her greeting was anything but cordial as she dodged his attempt to give her a hug.
Natalie was very cold to Josh and called him “weak” before telling him she didn’t want to waste her time on a guy who “doesn’t fight for me, who doesn’t care about me.”
TLC shared a clip of the exchange on its Instagram feed with a caption asking viewers, “Is this the most awkward hug in #90DayFiance history?”
After watching the episode and rewatching the scene on Instagram, 90 Day: The Single Life viewers pondered why Josh would ever entertain dating someone like Natalie, given her explosive nature and unexpected mood swings.

Wilson Fisk very much ascribes to the "Speak softly and carry a big stick" philosophy. Except, the crime boss of Hell's Kitchen doesn't need a big stick -- he's got himself. Whether on the pages of a comic book or the screen, the man they call Kingpin always towers over everyone around him. "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," once again demonstrating that animation is uniquely equipped for the superhero genre, exaggerates the proportion of Fisk's shoulders to his head to an absurd degree to literalize the idea of a man who dominates any room he enters. Meanwhile, the late, great Michael Clarke Duncan had little trouble physically embodying the character in the 2003 "Daredevil" movie, being a real-life Jack Reacher at six-foot-five and over 300 pounds.
Vincent D'Onofrio, on the other hand, had a trickier task, having to capture not just Fisk's daunting physical stature but also his vulnerable personality in Netflix's "Daredevil" series.

As Kingpin once said, “The people need to be reminded that the city belongs to me.” And apparently all of the Kingpin reading material belongs to Vincent D’Onofrio, who has consumed just about every piece he can get his hands on.
Speaking with ComicBook.com, D’Onofrio said, “I’ve seen everything that involved [Wilson] Fisk that’s up to this point. I mean, there’s some of the new runs, the Kingpin runs that I haven’t looked at yet, but as far as everything, any canon that connects Fisk I’ve read.” We sense a little slacking from D’Onofrio, but then again, considering just how much Kingpin material is out there, we can’t entirely fault him for falling behind.
As far as which Kingpin works have grabbed his attention the most, D’Onofrio pointed to the legendary Frank Miller, who wrote Daredevil’s Born Again storyline in 1986. “The [Frank Miller] runs...

For some of us, “American Fiction” has a satirical audacity that’s funny right out of the gate, gathers speed and force on the runway — and then, somehow, just when the comedy should be taking off, it turns muted and moralistic instead. I think the hitch is that after Jeffrey Wright’s Monk sells his fake memoir of Black street life, there’s a strong urge to see him — and the film — take a certain vengeful joy in how the book’s popularity skewers the racism of clueless white people. Instead, Monk is made so miserable by what happens that the movie never allows itself to discover that joy.
Had it done so, it might have been more like “The American Society of Magical Negroes,” a comedy of racial images that’s every bit as witty and scandalous as “American Fiction” (it almost feels like a kind of cousin to...

Editor’s Note: This review was originally published at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. Focus Features will release “The American Society of Magical Negroes” on Friday, March 15.
In one of the few laugh-out-loud scenes of “The American Society of Magical Negroes,” actor, writer and comedian Kobi Libii’s unevenly written but good-looking directorial debut that gradually runs out of steam, a Black man grabs an unsuspecting white person by the crotch to supposedly cure him of a prostatic illness.
The scene is a direct reference to Frank Darabont’s 1999 Oscar nominee “The Green Mile,” in which Michael Clarke Duncan’s prison inmate with a heart of gold (and supernatural powers) and Tom Hanks’ kind guard get similarly, well, acquainted. “The Green Mile” was only one of the then-recent barrage of popular movies like “What Dreams May Come,” “The Family Man,” and “The Legend of Bagger Vance” (also amusingly referenced in Libii...

In the sixth-season episode of "Bones" called "The Finder," which aired in April of 2012, Brennan and Booth (Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz) travel to the Florida Everglades to investigate the death of a maritime museum worker whose remains in the woods lead to the discovery of a fragment of a 17th-century map. The map may lead to sunken treasure (!) and our heroes know that if they find the rest of the map, they'll likely uncover a murderer.
To help with their investigation, the two agents hire an eccentric local named Walter Sherman (Geoff Stults), an old friend of Booth's. Walter is a kooky former soldier and head injury sufferer who possesses a bizarre, obsessive talent for locating lost objects. It's implied that Walter may even have semi-clairvoyant powers.

A minion nears his powerful master with good news. Spider-Man has gone, leaving the city unprotected. “This means the time has come to proceed with my master plan!” he responds, before explaining his plot to consolidate power.
These types of pronouncements aren’t uncommon among supervillains, many of whom have menaced the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Everyone from Kaecilius in Doctor Strange to Thanos across the Infinity Saga has launched a major battle to destroy their enemies and conquer the world.
But the guy we’re talking about here has no such lofty intentions. As 1967’s Amazing Spider-Man #50 demonstrates, Wilson Fisk endeavors to be no more than the Kingpin of Crime, the mastermind behind all of the illegal activities in New York City. One can't say much to defend the clunky script or the bad casting decisions for Tim Burton's 2001 film adaptation of Pierre Boulle's "Planet of the Apes." Not only did Burton's film alter the story of the original novel into something far less poignant, but Mark Wahlberg didn't project the "square-jawed space hero" archetype that his character was clearly written as. Estella Warren and Kris Kristofferson also didn't fare well as put-upon wilderness dwellers, coming across as dainty weekend warriors who had never been camping before.
Where Burton's film excels, however, is the ape design. The makeup effects by Rick Baker are some of the best in cinema history, looking eerily natural on the faces of previously recognizable actors. Additionally, the ape cast went through extensive movement training and their chimpanzee, gorilla, and orangutan body movements are impressive and convincing.
The ape cast also did its job with aplomb.

To remind readers, outside of Batman and Superman, superhero characters were once often considered to be bad bets at the box office. Many film execs assumed that audiences were too small to make a superhero movie profitable, and the special effects needed to realize a superhero character were going to be too extensive to do cheaply. It wouldn't be until film VFX technology had sufficiently advanced that certain filmmakers would give mainstream Marvel superheroes a try. 2000 saw the release of Bryan Singer's "X-Men," a steel-glinting superhero flick that developed its own aesthetic instead of cleaving to the colorful costumes of the comic book page. 2002 saw the release of Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man," a limp and unengaging drama, but one with first-rate Spider-Man visuals that still look impressive to this day. It looked like a trend was starting.
That trend seemingly hit two speedbumps in 2003, however, with the release...

"Friends" star Matthew Perry acted alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood before his tragic death on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54. Perry's roles -- primarily in comedies -- set the tone for his sprawling career. In one of these appearances, he starred alongside an actor whom he would later praise for his sheer coolness.
Perry starred alongside Bruce Willis in "The Whole Nine Yards," a 2000 action-comedy flick that also starred Amanda Peet and Michael Clarke Duncan. Perry played Nicholas "Oz" Oseransky, a dentist who is surprised to learn that his new neighbor is contract killer Jimmy "The Tulip" Tudeski (Willis). This wouldn't be the only time the duo would star alongside each other, however, as Willis would also land a guest role in "Friends" that would earn him an Emmy in 2000.
The two actors developed a strong relationship during their time starring opposite one another in the film and on "Friends.

Hitting theatres in 1998, “Armageddon” was the year’s most successful film at the box office, although not so much with critics.
In the Michael Bay-directed film, a massive asteroid is on a collision course with Earth, leading NASA to recruit a veteran oil driller (Bruce Willis) and his team, training the drillers to be astronauts in order to send them into space so they can drill deep into the asteroid and implant a nuclear bomb that will blow it to smithereens and save the planet.
While the film brought in more than $553 million, reviews were decidedly mixed, with many critics taking issue with the more ludicrous elements of the plot.

Christopher Nolan revealed on “The Rich Eisen Show” during his “Oppenheimer” press tour that he considers “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” to be one of the “great comedies,” which may come as a surprise to anyone who assumed the Oscar-nominated filmmaker is as brooding and cold as some of his films are. Eisen asked Nolan to name his favorite “remote drops,” referring to films that you just have to watch any time you’re scrolling through TV channels and see it’s airing.
“I mean, god, anything by [Stanley] Kubrick, you know? It’s a remote drop,” said Nolan. “And some of the great comedies too, I mean ‘Talladega Nights,’ I’m never gonna be able to switch that up.”

Hollywood loves feel-good, based-on-real-life sports dramas, and isn't shy about drastically altering the facts to mine these tales for maximum stand-up-and-cheer potential. The scrappy high-school basketball underdogs in "Hoosiers" were, despite the school's small enrollment, actually a top team in the state during that supposed Cinderella season (which is why the filmmakers opted to set the film in a fictional town). "Remember the Titans" is riddled with inaccuracies, one of the most egregious being that T.C. Williams High School's climactic game against George C. Marshall High occurred in the middle of the season. And while the title character of "Rudy" did fulfill his dream of suiting up for his beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish, retired NFL quarterback Joe Montana, who was on the team at the time, says the dramatic uniform-dumping scene is a pure fabrication.

The multi-platinum-selling artist, 40, and her husband, Kenny Petty, are on the receiving end of a campaign from their residential neighbours to oust them from their glamorous gated community.
Petty’s registered status as a sex offender has caused concern to radiate throughout their community in Hidden Hills, California, a coveted area that also houses the Kardashian-Jenner fam. Hundreds of community residents have signed a Change.org petition to voice their opposition to living near Patty.

Nicki Minaj was reportedly the victim of a swatting prank call last week. According to a report by TMZ, an anonymous phone caller falsely told police that the rapper’s 2-year-old son, whom she calls Papa Bear, was being abused. The prank caller contacted child services, which caused Los Angeles Police Department officers to travel to Minaj’s home at around 6 p.m.
A law enforcement source stated that officers spoke with Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty and checked on their son. They found no sign of abuse, leading deputies to believe Minaj was the subject of a swatting call. Police called it “a waste of time and resources.”
Another prank caller reported a fire at Minaj’s house hours later at about 3 a.m. Police found that the call was false as well.
Minaj is reportedly talking with lawyers to find the people responsible for the swatting calls.

In a career so far spanning 50 years, Stephen King has published 65 novels (with a 66th imminent) and more than 200 short stories. His books have sold more than 400 million copies worldwide, and have been regularly snapped up for film and TV adaptation. As a brand name, King is almost as prolific on screen as in print, with at least 60 movies (not even including the eight sequels to Children Of The Corn) and 50 shows to date, with more always incoming.
Cinematically, however, while some of the author’s adaptations are clear-eyed classics, the King association has not always been a guarantee of quality. In the early days, the gold rush to mine his back catalogue yielded more turkeys than treasure. So, with Rob Savage out this week (based on a 1973 short story in King’s _Night Shift collection), Empire have put together a list of the 15 greatest big-screen versions of the legendary scribe’s stories.

Director Daphné Baiwir examines not the literary work of prolific author Stephen King but the vast body of ongoing adaptations of King’s work, beginning with 1976’s Carrie, in the documentary King on Screen. With over 80 films and TV series and counting, adapting his work by over 50 directors, the horror author remains one of the most adapted in the world. King on Screen assembles talking heads to examine what it is about his literary work that translates to the screen so well and why his audience remains captive decades later. However, the documentary’s feature format struggles to encapsulate its subject’s overwhelming scope.
Baiwir begins her examination with an extended opening sequence that sees her traversing a fictional realm packed with King references. She drives through a forest, emulating the opening of The Shining, until she arrives at a shop named after the short story “In the Tall Grass.

Having already won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in “Elvis,” Austin Butler is on a solid path to triumphing on his first Oscar nomination. His film, which covers the entirety of the titular rock star’s two-decade career, boasts a talented cast that includes past Oscar winner Tom Hanks, who collected back-to-back Best Actor trophies for “Philadelphia” (1994) and “Forrest Gump” (1995). He missed out on a supporting bid for “Elvis,” but if Butler clinches the lead award, Hanks will become the 15th man to have acted in a film that won the same Oscar he previously received.
Hanks has a total of five Best Actor nominations to his name, with the three unsuccessful ones having come for his work in “Big” (1989), “Saving Private Ryan” (1999), and “Cast Away” (2001). Until Butler was recognized for “Elvis,” Hanks had never appeared in a film for which someone...

Ryan Reynolds is calling out the “old school” thinking that in part led to the infamous “Green Lantern” box office bomb.
The “Free Guy” star detailed how it took years to “process” the flop that was the poorly reviewed 2011 superhero film, which barely grossed back its budget of $200 million.
“There was just too many people spending too much money and when there was a problem rather than say, ‘Ok, let’s stop spending on special effects and let’s think about character,'” Reynolds said during the Just For Laughs comedy festival in London’s O2 Arena (via The Independent) opposite former co-star Rob Delaney.
Reynolds continued, “That just never…the thinking was never there to do that. And to their credit, it’s a very old-school way of looking at things. It’s just, ‘Let’s just keep spending our way through this.’ And it didn’t work.”

The original (and to date only) big screen Daredevil movie turned 20 years old last week. There wasn’t exactly a deluge of fanfare over this fact. For obvious reasons. Released during the boom years for glossy, hyper-edited action movies that had one eye on MTV tie-ins and another on the post-theatrical DVD double-dip market, director Mark Steven Johnson and star Ben Affleck’s Daredevil arrived into cinemas on Valentine’s Day weekend 2003 as a chopped-to-the-bone, 103-minute collection of studio priorities under 20th Century Fox’s then-chairman, Tom Rothman.
To give you an idea of how different a time this was for the industry, not until the 11th hour of pre-production was Johnson, a lifelong fan of Daredevil comics (specifically Frank Miller’s run in the 1980s), even allowed to give Matt Murdock a red-horned costume. Long before Charlie Cox became the Daredevil we all know and love with his excellent Netflix show (soon to be sort of revived as a Disney+ "Daredevil" series), Ben Affleck had a go at it. After "X-Men" in 2000 and Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" in 2002, studios were keen to repeat their success and began churning out more and more cape-based fare that would ultimately lead to the deluge of superhero media we're currently enduring. But in the lead-up to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's dominance, there were a fair few missteps, 20th Century Fox's "Daredevil" being one of them.
Written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson, 2003's "Daredevil" didn't quite the heights of "X-Men" or "Spider-Man." Affleck admitted that he regrets the movie and it's generally seen as somewhat of a blunder. Prior to helming the film, Johnson had penned the frankly bizarre "Jack Frost," which saw former "Batman" star Michael Keaton...

20 years ago, comic book movies were in an odd place. "X-Men" helped open the floodgates in 2000, particularly for Marvel, but it was the absolutely astonishing success of 2002's "Spider-Man" that represented the point of no return. Thus, other superheroes quickly made their way to the silver screen in the years that followed, with mixed results. One fascinating example is 2003's "Daredevil," which starred Ben Affleck as the Man Without Fear, and his future wife (and eventual ex-wife) Jennifer Garner as Elektra. The movie wasn't quite a flop, though not quite a hit, and didn't start a franchise for Matt Murdock like Marvel's mutants and Peter Parker now had. It was an up-the-middle, modest misfire.

As of Valentine’s Day 2023, Ben Affleck’s often-mocked comic book movie “Daredevil” is 20 years old. Yahoo Entertainment marked the occasion by sitting down with the 2003 comic book movie’s director, Mark Steven Johnson, who admitted that part of the movie’s failure came from his decision to over-cram the story.
“Looking back on it, one of the mistakes I made with the film was wanting to put everything in!” Johnson said. “I wanted to do Daredevil’s origin story, and I wanted to do the Elektra Saga and I wanted to introduce Bullseye and Foggy. I wanted everything to be in there, but the film could only support so much. And then when you’re told to cut a half-hour out and and make it more of a love story, things start to feel rushed and not quite right. It’s a fan thing: when you love something so much,...

The Old Way is a Western directed by Brett Donowho, written by Carl W. Lucas starring Nicolas Cage.
Yes, Nicolas Cage will (probably) work with no breaks this year and already has premieres ahead such as Renfield (in which he will be Dracula with his usual mayhem). Meanwhile, we can see him here in a Western which although it might not go down in the History of Film, is decent enough as far as production and ambience.
And, also has an incomparable philosophical subject: Nicolas Cage wears a Stetson!

Eventually released in the summer of 2001, the remake of "Planet of the Apes" went through decades of development before director Tim Burton was finally hired. According to the fascinating book "Tales From Development Hell" by David Hughes, 20th Century Fox was set to make an alternative sequel in 1988 titled "Return to the Planet of the Apes" with a screenplay from Adam Rifkin ("The Dark Backward"). Just before pre-production, new studio executives at Fox reportedly butted heads with Rifkin and the project was put on ice. Peter Jackson and Oliver Stone were even considered at one point, and even Arnold Schwarzenegger was attached in the mid-'90s.
Tim Burton was finally hired to direct at the start of the new millennium, attracting some of the biggest stars and character actors in the business, including Tim Roth, Helena Bonham Carter, Paul Giamatti, Mark Wahlberg, Michael Clarke Duncan, and music legend Kris Kristofferson.

Many adaptations of Stephen King‘s works are thought to be classics, from “Stand By Me” to “The Shining.” The 1976 film “Carrie” received two Oscar nominations in acting for Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie. The 1999 movie “The Green Mile” was nominated for four Oscars including Best Picture and for supporting actor Michael Clarke Duncan. In 1990, Kathy Bates won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in the King adaptation of “Misery.” And the 1994 film “The Shawshank Redemption” scored Oscar nominations for Best Picture and for leading actor Morgan Freeman.

Bringing the literary work of Stephen King to life on the big screen is incredibly difficult. King's novels are layered with complex characters, unique locations, and downright bizarre stories. But Frank Darabont seems to have found the right formula. The director responsible for "The Shawshank Redemption" and "The Mist" also brought one of King's most impactful works to life while earning a Best Picture Oscar nomination.
King, always on the cusp of publishing trends, released "The Green Mile" in 1996 as a six-part serial novel. It is told through the eyes of Great Depression-era death row prison guard Paul Edgecomb, but it is ultimately the story of John Coffey. Coffey is a mountainous, simple-yet-magical Black man wrongly accused of raping and killing two young white girls. Coffey faces the barbarous racism of the 1930s South while grappling with being cursed with a healing touch.

Stephen King may be a master of horror, but as stories like "The Body" (which later became "Stand By Me") and "The Green Mile" have shown, King is also a master of the heart. Adapted and directed by Frank Darabont, "The Green Mile" sees Tom Hanks as Paul Edgecomb, a death row prison guard during the Great Depression who bares witness to inexplicable events after a larger-than-life convict named John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan) arrives at his facility to serve his final days. The film was a commercial success at the box office and nabbed four Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture.
Although "The Green Mile" is a period piece, no one on the cast or crew would ever declare the film to be historically accurate. For starters, there's the whole "is John Coffey actually Jesus Christ?" question to be answered, but on a smaller scale, the costuming is intentionally inaccurate.

Before the Marvel Cinematic Universe had begun, Marvel superhero movies were more of a hit-or-miss affair, and they certainly weren’t as well received as most of the MCU entries. That was the situation in 2003, when Ben Affleck starred in Daredevil. Though it featured a stellar cast that included Colin Farrell, Jon Favreau, Jennifer Garner, David Keith, and the late, great Michael Clarke Duncan, Daredevil limped across the 100 million mark at the US box office and, after the Elektra sequel bombed, the franchise was scrapped. The Daredevil character later got its own MCU TV series (with Charlie Cox in the lead role), and it also reappeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home. With the Marvel multiverse cracked open wide, who knows what could happen in the future — rumor has it that Marvel actually reached out to Affleck about reprising the character. Of course, the unique thing about Daredevil is that he...

Holly Robinson Peete’s career is anchored by full-circle moments. So it’s pretty fitting that her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony is also pillared by a blast from the past.
“I got very emotional, and I thought about my mom driving me across the country when I was 9 years old from Philadelphia in search of a better life,” she tells Variety. “I thought of her becoming a personal manager and signing her first client, LeVar Burton. She was the Og momager and she is absolutely the reason why I’m getting this star.”
Fast forward to June 21 and Burton is one of the people speaking on Peete’s behalf when she receives that star. “I can’t wait to hear him speak on the 11-year-old Holly,” she adds.
