- Tamara Mello began acting in a community theater as a child. She was born and raised in Southern California. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and made her professional debut as a guest star on Boy Meets World (1993). Several other guest starring and small film roles followed until she was cast as a regular on the controversial ABC series Nothing Sacred(1997). Shortly after the series cancellation Mello landed the role of Chandler in the now classic teen comedy She's All That (1999). On the heels of the success of the film Mello landed the role of teen activist Lily Esposito on Ryan Murphy's first series, Popular (1999). Following 2 seasons on Popular Tamara continued to work in theater, film and television before taking several years off to raise her daughter. While studying anthropology during her first year of college, an agent saw her performing in a local stage production of "Agnes of God" and encouraged her to try her luck in Los Angeles, California. She made her screen acting debut as a guest star on 7th Heaven (1996) She was a regular in ABC's Nothing Sacred (1997) as Rachel, a Catholic who has a controversial abortion. She also guest-starred on Boy Meets World (1993) and the WB's comedy series Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane (1999). Among her feature film credits are She's All That (1999) Carlo's Wake (1999), and the thriller Spanish Judges (2000).
