Kelly Stone(I)

Kelly Stone was born on September 2nd, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan. She
moved to Los Angeles to focus on training and film work. After studying
the Chekhov Technique with
George Shdanoff
(Michael Chekhov's, "To The Actor" was
dedicated to Mr. Shandoff), she began acting in various shorts at USC
and the American Film Institute. Exploring different acting techniques,
she finally found acting coach
Charlie Laughton and "The Method".
After various stage productions, countless shorts and unreleased
independent films (such as 'Dreamers and Desperados'), the role of
"Natalie" in
_The Pornographer (1990)_.
Premiering at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, which included a seminar
with director Doug Atchison, Doug
described Kelly's work as "intensely natural and realistic". The film
won Best Picture at the Arizona Film Festival then traveled the world
festival circuit. Recently, filmed "The Garage", "Red Lightning", and
"Three Wise Women". Also, the lead in
Dwight Yoakam's video "Say It (You-Reka).
Kelly continues to study with
Charlie Laughton while participating in
staged readings, plays, and working on up-and-coming film projects.
