Country-music star Miranda Lambert's life is getting the TV-series treatment, but not in the way you might think.
ABC Family has started developing a show based on Lambert's childhood in Texas, but it's not about music (at least not primarily). In fact, it's a private-detective show, Deadline reports.
Here's the deal: When Lambert was growing up in Lindale, Texas, a small town east of Dallas, her mother and father, a retired police officer, went into business as private investigators. The show will take the family's life and spin from it what's being described as "'Hart to Hart' with a family," with the fictional Lambert kids helping their parents solve cases.
Or, if you'd rather, it could be a nuclear-family, Southern version of "Veronica Mars."
Scott Kaufer, a veteran of "Memphis Beat," "Boston Legal" and "The Chris Isaak Show," will write a pilot script and executive produce the project.

Fresh from winning four trophies at the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Award, Miranda Lambert announced that she is taking over TV world. The recipient of Top Female Vocalist of the Year would develop a scripted program centering on a family in Texas for ABC Family.
The project is close to the country singer's life as a child growing up in Texas. It revolves around parents who are private investigators and their children who assist them in solving crimes. According to Deadline, Lambert, along with her younger brother, grew up in Lindale, TX. Her father, Richard Lee "Rick" Lambert, a retired police officer, became a private investigator in partnership with her mother, Beverly "Bev" June Lambert.
Miranda would be an executive producer of the hour-long episode along with her mother, manager Marion Kraft and Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan. Assisting in the writing department is Scott Kaufer of "Memphis Beat...

Exclusive: Miranda Lambert is probably the hottest female country singer at the moment after winning four Academy of Country Music awards last night. Now I hear the 27-year-old is venturing into scripted series with an hourlong project at ABC Family based on her childhood, which is being executive produced by Kapital Entertainment. Lambert, along with her younger brother, grew up in Lindale, TX. Her father, Richard Lee "Rick" Lambert, a retired police officer, became a private investigator in partnership with her mother, Beverly "Bev" June Lambert. Described as Hart to Hart with a family, the project for ABC Family will center on a Texas family where the kids help their Pi parents in solving cases. Scott Kaufer (Memphis Beat) has been tapped to write and executive produce the drama, now in very early stages of development. Lambert is also executive producing along with her mom, Bev, manager, Marion Kraft, as well as Aaron Kaplan.
