It has been years since Matt Czuchry appeared on Gilmore Girls as Logan Huntzberger. Despite appearing in several other major productions, fans still think of him as Logan. He is happy to talk about his time on the beloved series in interviews. His role as Logan almost always comes up. In a recent sitdown, Czuchry discussed Rory Gilmore’s love life. While he refused to pick what “team” he is on, he was willing to point out that each of Rory’s major loves had traits that made them great and traits that many people would consider dealbreakers.

Each year, Gilmore Girls fans return to the series for a rewatch. There is something comforting about the series. The town of Stars Hollow, in particular, is beloved by fans. The tiny hamlet has a lot of wonderful attributes, but its quaint and quirky storefronts make it feel extremely special. Luke’s Diner, the eatery owned by Luke Danes, is a fan favorite. While Gilmore Girls viewers learned plenty about Luke and his diner over the years, he never actually mentions when he opened the business. His ex-girlfriend kind of did, though.
Anna Nardini revealed when Luke opened Luke’s Diner
It might have felt like Luke’s Diner was a part of Stars Hollow from the very beginning, but the beloved eatery wasn’t really that old in the grand scheme of things. Luke Danes never mentioned the date he opened the diner, but a former flame did. Anna Nardini,...

Gilmore Girls was mostly about the family dynamics of the Gilmore clan, as well as the quirky town of Stars Hollow and all of its eccentric residents. The show is beloved for being light, comforting, and funny. The town of Stars Hollow and its residents are considered ideal by fans. Still, there appears to be a dark underbelly, just like Paris Geller once predicted. Upon closer inspection, we were shocked to find out how many times the show’s main characters turned up on the wrong side of the law.

Have you ever wondered how the casting agents behind Gilmore Girls made their final decision when it came to filling roles? Not every part is cast the exact same way, but a writer thinks he played a crucial role in the casting of one major character. Stan Zimmerman, a screenwriter who wrote for Gilmore Girls, insists Matt Czuchry’s looks helped him transform into Rory’s boyfriend Logan Huntzberger. Zimmerman said he had something to do with the casting.

Kelly Bishop, the actor famous for portraying Emily Gilmore in Gilmore Girls, is set to publish a memoir about her life. The 79-year-old actor spent years on Broadway before breaking into movies and eventually television. Her professional life isn’t the only thing she’ll discuss in her book. Bishop promises to share details of her private life, too. The octogenarian has kept her personal life so quiet that most fans don’t even realize she’s been married twice. We have some details on her romances.
Kelly Bishop’s forgotten first marriage was a symptom of the times
Kelly Bishop doesn’t often talk about her marriages, but every so often, she shares a peak behind the curtain that proves her life, while glamorous, was not always perfect. In an interview with Bustle, Bishop once revealed that she was married once before meeting her lifelong mate.

Taylor Swift has been headline news for years. Her relationship with Travis Kelce has garnered even more attention. For the last several months, a completely unrelated rumor about the pop star has been circling the internet, albeit at a quieter rumble than news about her new relationship. Rumors swirl that Gilmore Girls is Taylor Swift’s favorite show and that at least one of her songs was inspired by the iconic series. While we don’t doubt Swift would enjoy the antics of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, the billionaire hasn’t publicly acknowledged her love for Stars Hollow, so where exactly did the rumor begin? It all started on Instagram.

Rory Gilmore’s first boyfriend, Dean Forrester, isn’t exactly a fan favorite. At the very least, Gilmore Girls fans largely agree that he was not the one for Rory. Despite that, the couple actually dated three separate times during the show’s seven-season run. A lot happened during the breaks in their relationship. Still, their time apart was relatively short.
Rory and Dean’s first break up didn’t even last two months
Rory and Dean’s relationship was sweet to start. Fans were understandably heartbroken when they called it quits during season 1 after Rory refused to say “I love you” back. Instead of moving on quickly, Rory, refusing to wallow at first, eventually leaned into her feelings. Because several episodes were dedicated to Rory’s heartbreak, fans largely assumed the breakup lasted a while. It didn’t.

In November 2016, Gilmore Girls fans sat down to watch a four-part special that finally showed them what has been happening in Stars Hollow since the original series ended in 2007. While the Netflix revival was met with mixed reviews, most fans still want to see more. The idea of a second revival has been floated multiple times over the years, but nothing has materialized.
As it turns out, the show’s stars have thought about what might have become of their characters following the big cliffhanger, too. Scott Patterson recently revealed his preferred storyline for a second revival, and it doesn’t sound half bad.

Gilmore Girls fans appear no closer to season 2 of the Netflix revival than a year ago. Just like in years past, the actors are talking about a second revival, and Amy Sherman-Palladino is happy to entertain chatter about it.
Still, as we move further into 2024, there has yet to be an announcement. Regardless, we can’t help but wonder what a second revival would look like. While fans largely assume Rory Gilmore’s revival storyline would have included giving birth to a baby girl, that assumption might be wrong. Amy Sherman-Palladino insists there is room for boys in the Gilmore Girls universe.

The official Gilmore Girls rewatch might be a fall event for fans of the beloved series, but the show isn’t just fall-focused. Over the course of seven seasons, there were plenty of winter-themed episodes, and we think there are more than a few Gilmore Girls episodes you should absolutely watch during a cozy snow day. We’ve collected four that you should queue up the next time you are snowed in.
‘Love and War and Snow’ is the quintessential ‘Gilmore Girls’ snow episode
Lorelai Gilmore’s love of snow is established early on in the series. One of the first snow-themed Gilmore Girls episodes also happens to be one of our favorites. In the show’s eighth episode, Lorelai finds herself stranded in Stars Hollow without Rory. While Rory is stuck in Hartford, Lorelai is hardly alone.

Stars Hollow has always felt like a comfortable and quaint little fictional town. The town is part of the reason Gilmore Girls still appeals to fans years after the original series ended. Paris Geller, however, once insisted that the quiet hamlet must have a seedy underbelly, and frankly, some fans agree. These three Gilmore Girls fan theories suggest there are residents of Stars Hollow that are hiding big secrets.
‘Gilmore Girls fan theory #1: Kirk was a spy
Kirk Gleason’s backstory is a confusing one. While he claims to have grown up in Stars Hollow, longtime residents don’t seem to remember him. For example, Miss Patty had no idea who he was, despite later claiming him as a pupil. He also claimed to have a dozen siblings, but no one in town knew anything about them.

Lorelai, Rory, and Emily Gilmore may have been family, but each woman had a unique personality, desires, and expectations. Emily, the Gilmore family matriarch, was proper and poised. Lorelai was free-spirited and fun, and Rory was studious but prone to anxiety and insecurities. While each Gilmore lady was unique, they proved they had at least one thing in common during Gilmore Girls. All three women had a gift for party and event planning.
Emily Gilmore was an organizational mastermind with an eye for perfection
Emily Gilmore never held a job in a traditional sense. She moved from her parents’ house to the sorority house, to the home she shared with Richard Gilmore. Emily seemed to have some insecurity about that over the years, but her contributions to her family and their life should never be forgotten.

Gilmore Girls fans spent four very long seasons watching Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore flirt without admitting they had feelings for each other. Once they did, they embarked on a relationship that should have gone smoothly, except it didn’t. There were many twists and turns in their love story. There were so many turns that we wonder if their love was actually “written in the stars,” as one episode title suggested. As it turns out, according to their zodiac signs, Luke and Lorelai were compatible, with one caveat.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life was controversial. The Netflix revival followed a confusing arc and introduced characters who felt vastly different than how fans last remembered them. The show’s final four words, with which Rory Gilmore announced her pregnancy to her mother, might be the most controversial aspect of the show. Fans think there were better ways to end the series. We’ve collected a few.
Fans would have preferred Luke and Lorelai’s wedding to be the actual endpoint
Luke and Lorelai’s journey to the altar was a challenging one. Fans watched on as the couple flirted for seasons before they finally got together, only to see the couple’s love dashed by a meddling mother. When they got back together, all seemed to be going well until a long-lost child appeared. Luke and Lorelai fans have been through a lot.

Gilmore Girls fans have spent years wondering if a second revival will ever become a reality. The further they get from the 2016 Netflix event, the less likely it seems, but some recent developments in the TV landscape, particularly in the Gilmore Girls universe, have sparked renewed hope. The recent cancelation of The Resident is just one more star that seems to be aligning for a potential reunion.
Fox has canceled ‘The Resident’ after six seasons
Fox has called it quits on their medical drama The Resident. Entertainment Weekly confirmed the cancelation on Apr. 6, although fans suspected season 6 would be the show’s last before the official announcement was made. Season 6 wrapped in January, but Fox remained quiet about the show’s future until now.
So, why does The Resident’s cancelation matter to Gilmore Girls fans? A familiar face starred in the series. Matt Czuchry took on the role of Dr.

Liza Weil spent seven seasons portraying the high-strung overachiever Paris Geller on Gilmore Girls. Weil stole the show in a role created specifically for her. Paris Geller became a fan-favorite character pretty quickly. Even today, many viewers applaud her honesty and relentless pursuit of success, ignoring the fact that she was morally bankrupt. Paris had some pretty awful qualities. We’ve collected four examples of how Paris Geller was the absolute worst Gilmore Girls character.
Paris turned on Rory numerous times for absolutely no reason
It’s no big secret that Paris Geller was incredibly insecure. She seemed to have difficulty figuring out who she was and never seemed confident in her abilities, despite how loudly she claimed superiority over those around her. Insecurity often led to paranoia for Paris, and she was more than willing to turn on those closest to her when she felt they had wronged her.

When fans reconnected with Rory Gilmore in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, she was listless, anxious, and unsure of how to proceed with her personal and professional lives. She had so much promise, insisted fans, and showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino, destroyed all of that potential by making Rory entitled and a professional failure, to a degree. Some fans think Rory acted completely out of character in the revival. What if that wasn’t the case, though? What if Rory’s fall from grace was 100% realistic and predictable? There is evidence to support the theory.
There was evidence that Rory would falter in the original series
Rory was portrayed as the golden child in Gilmore Girls. She succeeded wildly at an academically rigorous prep school. Everyone in Stars Hollow loved her, and she was at ease around her grandparents’ high-society pals. Rory was everything Richard and Emily Gilmore had hoped Lorelai Gilmore would be.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life ended with Rory Gilmore informing her mother that she was pregnant. The famous final words were planned all along by showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino. While they didn’t have the same pop at the end of the revival as they would have had at the end of the original series, they did ensure one thing. The final four words gave Gilmore Girls fans a lot to think about. While a second revival has not yet been announced, we can’t help but wonder where Rory Gilmore and her baby would be today. If you’ve ever wondered how old her child would be right now, we did the math for you.
How far along was Rory Gilmore in her pregnancy?
While we don’t know much about Rory Gilmore’s pregnancy, we can estimate how far along she was when she finally told her mother she was expecting.

Many Gilmore Girls fans didn’t love all of the plotlines in the popular show’s sequel series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. One storyline that didn’t make sense was Logan Huntzberger’s impending marriage to the never-seen Odette.

The debate can finally be put to bed. Jess Mariano is not the father of Rory Gilmore’s child. At least he’s not the biological father. Since the end of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, fans of the series have been arguing over who fathered Rory’s baby. Most fans assumed Logan Huntzberger was the father, but a few holdouts have been hoping an off-screen hookup explains the pregnancy. Well, costume supervisor Valerie Campbell just set the record straight. Logan is the father, and it was never supposed to be a big secret.

Over the years, we’ve noticed that Gilmore Girls had a few repeating themes. The show was short on the words “I love you.” Amy Sherman-Palladino actively avoided actual breakup scenes, and the series had a pretty sex-negative tone. One of the most commonly repeated themes was unplanned pregnancy. Of Gilmore Girls’ eight main pregnancies, five of them were accidental. Let’s take a look at how realistic that was.
Who had an unplanned pregnancy in ‘Gilmore Girls’?
Gilmore Girls’ entire premise revolved around an unplanned teenage pregnancy, so, technically, Lorelai Gilmore’s pregnancy at 16 was the first mention of an unexpected baby. In season 2, Christopher Hayden discovered his girlfriend, Sherry Tinsdale, was unexpectedly expecting. The shocking news completely altered his plans to get back together with Lorelai.
In season 7 of Gilmore Girls, Lane Kim found out that her first sexual experience, on her honeymoon, resulted in a twin pregnancy.

Emily Gilmore is one of the most debated characters on Gilmore Girls. While some fans love her, others hate her. We think she has a lot of good qualities, and we are here to defend the Gilmore matriarch.
Emily Gilmore always wanted what was best for Lorelai and Rory
Emily Gilmore was a woman on a mission to ensure her family succeeded. In many ways, she felt like she had failed Lorelai Gilmore and thought perhaps she could right a wrong through Rory Gilmore. Rory was actually perfect for the job. While she was smart and beautiful, just like her mother, she lacked her independent streak and natural inclination to fight against authority.

Rory Gilmore’s love life is divisive. Gilmore Girls Fans are pretty evenly split between Logan Huntzberger and Jess Mariano being the right man for Rory. While Jess has plenty of fans, he has haters, too. Jess’ opponents argue that he was angsty, inconsiderate and mean, especially to Rory. Fans claim he was smart, insightful, and wounded. Both sides are correct, but we still think we need to defend the angsty New York native.
Jess Mariano’s early life explains a lot of his behavior on ‘Gilmore Girls’
Jess might have been angsty and a bit difficult, but we must give the kid a pass, at least for some of his bad behavior. He was dealt a difficult hand, and we can’t blame him for acting out. Jess was raised in New York, abandoned by his father, and eventually ditched by his mother.

Gilmore Girls was filled with characters who were easy to cheer on; they were effortlessly likable. Taylor Doose was not one of those characters. Stars Hollow’s town selectman was rigid, difficult, and may have been more than a little corrupt. Still, was Taylor all that bad? While we didn’t absolutely adore him, he had some redeeming qualities. We are here to defend the man.
Taylor Doose was easy to root against
Stars Hollow didn’t have a lot of residents you could dislike. Even the town’s most eccentric resident, Kirk Gleason, was mostly likable. Taylor Doose, however, was easy to root against. Taylor was rigid, difficult, and could be downright mean in his pursuit of a town run to the letter.
We hated Taylor when he told Jackson Belleville he had to tear down his greenhouse because it was a hair too close to the road. He was just being petty.

It has been six years since Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life wrapped on Netflix. Even before the revival, fans had mixed feelings about Logan Huntzberger, Rory Gilmore’s college boyfriend. The revival certainly didn’t make him look better. When fans reconnected with him, he was still sleeping with Rory while following Mitchum Huntzberger’s dynastic plan by marrying a never-seen heiress. Logan, in the revival, had regressed from the Logan fans watched walk away from Rory after she turned down his marriage proposal. The super-rich heir to a media empire wasn’t a terrible person, though. Frankly, we think he deserves a bit more credit than he gets

If Netflix, Twitter, and Instagram aren’t giving you your fill of Gilmore Girls, we have some good news. The famed series has officially launched a TikTok account. The series, which ended its original run way back in 2007, is now on the popular social media platform, and we love the clips the account is sharing. Does it mean something big is coming for Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, though?

Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore finally got married in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, the much-anticipated 2016 Netflix revival. The wedding, in its entirety, wasn’t seen by fans due to budget constraints, but fans did learn what their wedding date was. Luke and Lorelai married on Nov. 5, in the final moments of the four-part revival. Fans of the original series assumed the November wedding date was to pay homage to Lorelai’s love of the cool weather. There may be a different reason showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino chose the date. Famed Gilmore Girls couple, Luke and Lorelai, share a wedding date with Helen Pai and her husband, Dave Rygalski.

Gilmore Girls remains one of the most popular streaming series on Netflix right now. While the original series ended its run in 2007, it’s amassed new fans each year. The series remains popular because of its generally wholesome storylines and quaint setting. Not everything about Gilmore Girls was all that wholesome, though. Several side plots were creepy. We’ve collected three Gilmore Girls storylines that we believe are extraordinarily creepy when you think about it.
Kirk Gleason amassing a jewelry collection from elderly women was one of the creepiest ‘Gilmore Girls’ storylines
Kirk Gleason was Stars Hollow’s most eccentric resident. Still, he is beloved by Gilmore Girls fans, and we totally get why. He seemed mostly harmless and well-intentioned. Every so often, though, Kirk made a really strange revelation.

The Mighty Ducks movie franchise remains a fan-favorite decades after it was released on the big screen. The television adaptation of the famed franchise hasn’t been as lucky. After two seasons, Disney+ has opted to cancel the series, a decision that was not totally unexpected. While fans of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers are bummed by the news, Gilmore Girls fans are cautiously optimistic that it could mean good things for a second revival. So, does the series’ cancelation suddenly free up Lauren Graham’s schedule to consider a reboot of Gilmore Girls? Maybe. Is it going to happen, though? So far, there has been no news, but there is hope.
Disney+ has officially canceled ‘The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers’
It’s a wrap for The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. Disney+ announced that the series would not get a third season on Feb. 17. Season 2 premiered in September 2022 and included 10 episodes.

The only official Gilmore Girls Valentine’s Day episode is almost universally hated by fans. The season 6 episode just doesn’t have what we’d expect from an episode all about love, especially when the two main characters, Rory and Lorelai Gilmore, are both in serious, long-term relationships. While these episodes aren’t centered around Valentine’s Day, we think they are suitable stand-ins for the low-rated “A Vineyard Valentine.”

Gilmore Girls never shied away from celebrating holidays and special occasions. Stars Hollow was known for its festivals and town events. Still, a couple of holidays were treated as mere footnotes. Valentine’s Day, for example, was given just one dedicated episode in season 6 of the series. While the holiday was a perfect one to celebrate on Gilmore Girls, the one dedicated episode missed the mark. Fans largely despise it, and we do too.

Gilmore Girls had several important plot points that drove the story forward. Lorelai Gilmore’s teen pregnancy was the thread that wove everything together. Lorelai’s pregnancy was mentioned countless times during the show’s seven-season run. While Emily Gilmore assured Rory Gilmore that she was never seen as a “mistake,” there were certainly a lot of hard feelings about the expectations Lorelai never fulfilled. So, what would Lorelai Gilmore’s life looked like if she hadn’t gotten pregnant? The show hinted at it multiple times.
If Lorelai Gilmore had never gotten pregnant, she probably would have gone to Vassar College
Lorelai’s teen pregnancy ended her academic career as she knew it, but Lorelai wasn’t a wayward teen who happened to get pregnant. Apparently, Lorelai was rather bright and had a ton of potential. Richard and Emily Gilmore expected Lorelai to leave her prep school and head on to Vassar College.

Carole King is woven into the Gilmore Girls universe so much that it’s difficult to note her involvement. The singer not only cameoed, but she also was the voice behind the show’s iconic theme song. King also appeared in A Year in the Life and had a private concert with cast members.

Gilmore Girls ran from 2000 until it ended in 2007. Gg returned nine years after its ending for a special miniseries called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life and brought back almost every cast member. Although King wasn’t a core cast member, she is still technically a huge part of it, and her appearance in an episode of the miniseries Ayitl proves that.
Lauren Graham, who played Lorelai Gilmore in the series, sat down with Sam Pancake to discuss her career.

Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore might have been the endgame couple of Gilmore Girls, but if we are being really honest, there was a lot wrong in their relationship. There was so much wrong in their relationship that some fans labeled the couple toxic. After all, they did break up twice. While we still love Luke and Lorelai together, several Gilmore Girls couples had healthier relationships than Luke and Lorelai. We picked three. Do you agree?

Liz Torres spent seven years playing Miss Patty on Gilmore Girls. While Torres had a ton of acting credits to her name, Miss Patty is the part that fans connect her with most often. Stars Hollow was just as important to Gilmore Girls as the show’s main characters. The town became a character in its own right, and fans of the famed series have spent years trying to figure out exactly where the fictional town would be in Connecticut if it had been a real place. The zip code belongs to a real Connecticut town.

Gilmore Girls leaned into the New England energy of Connecticut. The series, set in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, really loved playing with the weather and different seasons. The four seasons served as a perfect backdrop for the dramedy. While the fall was an important season for the series, so was winter. Lorelai Gilmore was obsessed with the winter and, more specifically, snow. The quirky inn owner even once suggested that she could smell snow. No one else in Stars Hollow seemed to share her “gift,” but is it that bizarre? Many people who grew up in cold climates probably know the exact smell Lorelai was referencing. So, does snow have a scent? Scientifically, sort of.
Lorelai Gilmore could smell snow
Gilmore Girls filmed many snow scenes, despite the cast and crew spending most of their filming days in Burbank, California. There was a reason the snow was so important to the show.

For every movie or television series, a good set designer is necessary to create a believable world with the use of scenery and, often, special effects as well. It might not always be raining when the plot calls for it – or snowing – and there may be other times when a scene calls for bright sunshine.
Of course, that’s not all that a set designer does. Basically, they build the entire set for the film or show, just like the popular hit Gilmore Girls. The WB drama famously took place in the fictional New England town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut, but was filmed in sunny California.

Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore are largely considered the endgame couple of Gilmore Girls. The episode featuring their first kiss is the most highly-rated episode of the entire series. Fans have spent years discussing everything wrong with everyone else the duo dated. ‘While we don’t deny Luke and Lorelai had great chemistry leading up to their first kiss, we don’t necessarily know if they were right for each other long term. We think, perhaps, Luke and Lorelai were better off as friends.
Luke and Lorelai had completely different wants as a couple
While Luke and Lorelai had great chemistry as friends, they didn’t make a ton of sense when you look at them as a couple. Sure, the duo was attracted to each other and cared deeply about one another, but they didn’t have much else in common. Luke enjoyed camping and fishing, while Lorelai liked watching movies and town meetings.

Lane Kim married Zack Van Gerbig during season 6 of Gilmore Girls. They quickly had twins and settled into married life. Their relationship’s progression abruptly ended Lane Kim’s bid to become a rockstar. For years, Gilmore Girls fans have largely disliked Zack, partly because of how Lane’s storyline unfolded and partially because Zack didn’t measure up to Lane’s first love, Dave Rygalski. While Zack and Dave were inherently different people, we think Zack was just as good to Lane as Dave, just in a completely different way.

Gilmore Girls may have been mostly about the Gilmore family, but several other key characters factored heavily into the show. During its seven-season run, the series had a ton of different storylines featuring the main characters and the residents of Stars Hollow. Understandably some aspects of those storylines had to happen off-screen. Three off-screen Gilmore Girls storylines deserved some on-screen action, though.

The infamous Gilmore Girls’ town, Stars Hollow, was supposed to be nestled somewhere in the middle of Connecticut. The state is known for its fall foliage, and the series absolutely used that as inspiration for its intro. While the intro for Gilmore Girls captures the fall colors that Connecticut is known for, the overhead footage was shot in a completely different state.
The town used in the ‘Gilmore Girls’ intro is actually in Vermont
The Gilmore Girls intro offers fans an overhead view of a quaint New England town surrounded by trees in various shades of orange and red. It makes for the perfect opening, and if you only took a quick look once, you’d assume it was the town of Stars Hollow shown from a bird’s eye vantage point.

Happy Thanksgiving, “Gilmore Girls” fans! Whether you’re having tofurkey or getting yours deep fried, there’s no denying that in addition to the holidays, it’s also time to celebrate Stars Hollow season.
Et recently spoke with “Gilmore” star Michael Winters, who played everyone’s favourite town selectman, Taylor Doose, on the beloved series, and he dished on the possibility of future episodes of the hit mother-daughter drama.
The series ran for seven seasons from 2000 to 2007 and Netflix gave hungry fans four movie-style reboot episodes in 2016 with “A Year in the Life”.
And while Winters told Et that he hasn’t specifically spoken with creators Amy Sherman-Palladino or Dan Palladino about the possibility of more “Gilmore”, he did have a very interesting conversation with another big player of the franchise — Lauren Graham!
