Besides the weekly cases that require the services of “The Irrational” hero Alec Mercer (Jesse L. Martin), the behavioral psychology expert is also trying to solve his own case: Who was responsible for the bombing several years ago that left him horribly scarred?
Monday night’s episode of the NBC procedural, “Dead Woman Walking,” in which Mercer figured out who poisoned an investigative journalist with polonium, ended with him remembering something vital from the night of the bombing, of which he has almost no memory. Using different scents combined with fire, he remembered the logo on the vehicle the bomber was driving.
Series director and producer Jesse Warn recently spoke with TheWrap about Mercer’s own mystery and why the show absolutely depends on the charm of the former “Flash” star.

Alec spends a good amount of this week’s The Irrational sniffing around not only figuratively, but literally: After all, if strong scents can evoke memory, maybe reminding his nostrils about the night of his bombing will lead his brain back there, too?
Meanwhile, the Case of the Week involves a journalist who’s been poisoned with a substance more commonly used to off Russian spies. And rather than go to the police, or the FBI, or the CIA, or literally any other established law-enforcement organization, the reporter in question thinks Alec is her best bet at solving the mystery.

It’s “lights out” for Detective Harry Bosch, quite literally, at the close of a teaser trailer for the seventh and final season of the Amazon Prime drama, which will release all eight episodes on Friday, June 25.
Based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling 2014 novel The Burning Room and the real-life arson case that inspired it, the TV series’ farewell run puts Detective Harry Bosch’s famous motto — “Everybody counts, or nobody counts” — center stage, when a 10-year-old girl dies in an arson fire and Bosch (played by Titus Welliver) risks everything to bring her killer to justice despite opposition from powerful forces.

In Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” Amy Aquino plays Dr. Christina Raynor, a no-nonsense military therapist tasked with the unenviable job of rehabilitating Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) from spending roughly 70 years as the Winter Soldier, a brainwashed assassin for Hydra. In Episode 2 of the show, Dr. Raynor even intervenes in the contentious relationship between Bucky and Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) by forcing them into a form of couples therapy.
Aquino learned she landed the job on “Faws” while shooting “Bosch,” the Amazon series starring Titus Welliver as an L.A. police detective and Aquino as his immediate superior. When Sam Wilson donated Steve Rogers’ shield to the Smithsonian, he expected it to live there as a testament to the retired Avenger’s legacy. Instead, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier introduced a new Captain America in John Walker, played by Lodge 49’s Wyatt Russell.
Walker is a military man who represents “real American values.” But after taking up Cap’s shield, hacking into Redwing to track Sam and Bucky, and telling the titular heroes to stay out of his way when they refuse to work with the government, Walker has officially become the show’s persona non grata.

As Zenon would say, Bucky Barnes is in crisis mode major on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
After decades of being brainwashed to murder against his will, he’s finally processing what’s been done to him through private sessions with his court-mandated therapist, Dr. Christina Raynor, played by Amy Aquino. Although Bucky isn’t exactly receptive to her — he lies about his nightmares and rails against her attempts to get through to him — Raynor is determined to help the ex-assassin before it’s too late. Given her past military experience and bouts with Ptsd, she knows how bad things can get.

(Warning: The following post contains spoilers from the premiere episode of Disney+’s “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”)
The first episode of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” left us with plenty of questions, but before we get into theories and connections and conspiracies, there’s something pressing we need to address: How in the hell is Bucky Barnes living in any kind of anonymity?
Seriously, how is a low-key existence even possible for Bucky at this point? How does No One recognize the Winter Soldier?
When we first encounter Bucky (Sebastian Stan) in the episode — bless us all, during a government-mandated therapy session — we learn a few key facts. Chief among them is this: Bucky has been granted a full pardon for his crimes. With his newfound freedom — both legally and mentally, as we also learned that Bucky is in full control of his mental faculties once more...

Bosch Season 6 is officially on the way via Amazon Prime Video.
Fans of the Amazon retro-noir contemporary police drama, starring Titus Welliver as hard-driving Lapd detective Harry Bosch, were recently informed that season 6 would be the show’s penultimate, as season 7 will wrap up the series for good.
Created by Eric Overmyer, Bosch has been adapted from the Harry Bosch novel series written by Michael Connelly. The 22-book run started with 1992’s The Black Echo and the latest tome is 2019’s The Night Fire. Connelly is an executive producer on the series, and seems to be happy with how the project has panned out.
“I’m proud of what we have accomplished with Bosch and look forward to completing the story in season 7,” he said. “It’s bittersweet but all good things come to an end and I am happy that we will be able to go out the way we want to.

Amazon’s beloved crime series, Bosch, is officially set for a seventh and final season.
Bosch Season 7 has been announced by Amazon with the confirmation of a finish line set for the Titus Welliver-starring modern noir detective show, which launched back in 2014 as one of Amazon’s very first original offerings.
The preemptive season renewal for Bosch, which is currently on deck for a Season 6 premiere sometime this year on Amazon Prime Video, is par for the course, most recently exemplified by the platform’s announced order for said sixth season way back in November 2018 – well ahead of the April 19, 2019 arrival of Season 5, the most recent frame available. Indeed, with no date to cite yet for Season 6, the show’s ultimate swan song in Bosch Season 7 is likely far off on the horizon.

Beautiful Boy, directed by Felix van Groeningen, faces stiff competition as the Armageddon to Peter Hedges’ Ben is Back, the equivalent to that of Deep Impact. A nonsensical and truly incomparable comparison, but undoubtedly the two have some similarities, and with having seen Hedges Ben is Back and now Groeningen’s film, it is undoubtedly clear that one of these films has won this none-existing war by a mile. As Beautiful Boy is a heart-breaking, sombre and brutal feature that puts you through every pain imaginable watching this tragic story unfold.
There is a lot to appreciate here, specifically the performances. Film Twitter darling Timothee Chalamet is breath-taking in his role as addict Nic Sheff.
