Margaret Low Smith has joined The Atlantic as vice president and president of its events practice, AtlanticLIVE, the news organization announced on Tuesday. Smith, who has been senior vice president of NPR News since 2011, is replacing Elizabeth Baker Keffer, the founding president of AtlanticLIVE. Smith will oversee all aspects of AtlanticLIVE, which produces dozens of events each year in cities across the country.
