In 1967, he co-wrote the teleplay for an unsold comedy pilot about two elderly, retired superheroes who must once again don their leotards to do battle with a super-villain who has been set free and has vowed to destroy the world.
His first writing was for radio, including gag writing for Bob Burns on Kraft Music Hall. This led to his signing by George Burns and led to work on The Burns and Allen Show radio show.
Co-wrote the book for the musical "Are You With It?" with Sam Perrin . The show ran on Broadway for 267 performances in 1945 and was later made in to a movie by Universal Pictures.
