The Black Emanuelle films aren’t really a series in the proper sense of the word. True, they all star Indonesian-Dutch actress Laura Gemser, and she usually plays a globetrotting photojournalist called Emanuelle. (The single “m” in her name was used to avoid infringing on the copyright of Just Jaeckin’s 1974 softcore sensation Emmanuelle starring Sylvia Kristel.) But there’s no notion of continuity between installments (often the product of different teams of writers and directors), and, even though a core group of actors does turn up time and again, they always play different, unrelated characters. What unites these films, apart from Gemser’s presence, is their dedication to exploring sexuality in a frank and uninhibited manner.
Severin’s new box set, The Sensual World of Black Emanuelle, brings together all 21 of the Laura Gemser films, most of them newly restored from 2K scans of the original materials, as well...

Hello, everyone! I hope you have your wallets ready because we have a huge day of horror and sci-fi home media releases this week, and there are a ton of different titles fans are definitely going to want to add to their collections. As far as recent genre fare goes, Spiral: From the Book of Saw, Jakob’s Wife, Initiation and 32 Malasana Street are all headed home on various formats, and if you happen to be a big fan of the Saw series, you can also nab brand new Blu-rays for the first eight Saw films this week,...

A rep for "Tron: Legacy" actress Olivia Wilde confirms Tues. (Feb. 8) that she and hubby of eight years, Tao Ruspoli, have split.
So who is this Italian royal who won over the heart of an 18-year-old Wilde?
Ruspoli, whose full name is Tao dei Principe Ruspoli, is the son of Italian Prince Alessandro Ruspoli and Austrian-American actress Debra Berger. Born in Thailand, he was raised in Rome and Los Angeles with dual citizenship and graduated from Uc Berkley with a degree in Philosophy.
Ruspoli currently works as a filmmaker and musician, most well known for his documentary "Just Say Know," which explored his own family's personal issues with drug addiction. As for his musical inclination, he apparently plays a mean flamenco guitar.
The now 35-year-old wed Wilde in 2003 after just six months together, but their wedding certainly wasn't a royal affair.

Olivia Wilde's life as a princess -- literally -- may be coming to a close.
Wilde and Italian royal hubby Tao dei Principe Ruspoli have officially separated, a rep for the actress tells Us Magazine. The couple eloped when Wilde was just 18-years-old, interestingly enough, in an abandoned school bus.
"The bus was the only place we could be completely alone," the "House" star told Playboy. "The wedding was a secret, and we wanted to do it someplace where we could hide with our best friends. It was all about the intimacy of the promise we were making."
It doesn't seem as though Wilde will miss her title, though. She also told Playboy, "I never call myself [a princess]. I occasionally get mail that says 'Principessa.' It's all part of being this lucky person who has been welcomed into an interesting family with a long history."
