- Her real last name was White, but a reporter who reviewed one of her appearances incorrectly printed her last name as "Black". He gave her a favourable review, so she went ahead and kept "Black" for her stage name.

McCartney wrote the theme song "Step Inside Love" which was also a single for Black. The Beatles' version was released on the Anthology CDs.
