FX is showing off the first official poster from the upcoming second season of Welcome to Wrexham just hours before Wrexham AFC takes the field to play Manchester United.
Season one premiered on August 24, 2022 and followed the Wrexham Red Dragons as they played their first season under new ownership. Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) and Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) knew nothing about owning a team when they purchased Wrexham and season one of the FX docuseries, which tracked their experiences with the team and the town, was a true underdog story.
The documentary series, which helped build up the Wrexham Red Dragons’ international fanbase, earned six Emmy nominations (including Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program) along with a Critics Choice Award for Best Sports Documentary.

The show, slated to premiere this March, will feature Adam Cole, Dr. Britt Baker, Sammy Guevara, Tay Conti, The Young Bucks, Saraya, Wardlow, and Eddie Kingston, along with Aew CEO, Gm, and Head of Creative Tony Khan.
“With the new Aew: All Access series, they’ll have a chance to peek behind the curtain and into the lives of their favorite wrestlers like never before,” said Khan.
Each episode will showcase Aew’s stars as they navigate their week-to-week challenges. Aew: All Access joins TBS and TNT’s other wrestling content, including Aew: Dynamite and Aew: Rampage.
This marks the first new unscripted series greenlighted by TBS in 2023 and falls under the strategy by the new Wbd regime for launching entertainment programming that complements the Turner networks’ sports/wrestling coverage.

The “Dark Side of Football” Season 1 participants would make a pretty darn good NFL roster – and the storylines should make for some entertaining TV.
The six, one-hour episodes of Vice’s “Dark Side of the Ring” spinoff will include an episode on Bill Belichick, another focused on the origins of the Oakland Raiders’ notorious reputation and a third that explores the league’s painkiller problem and the often tragic results of its unwritten rule to “play with the pain,” in the docuseries’ words.
And that’s literally just the half of it. Other subjects covered include violence among some hardcore fans, the pathetic (not last year!) Cleveland Browns, and one episode dedicated entirely to diva wide receivers, TheWrap has learned.
Participants interviewed for and appearing in the program include Chad Johnson, Mike Ditka, Plaxico Burress, Donte Stallworth, Jemele Hill, Bill Romanowski, Jim McMahon, Ricky Williams, Kyle Turley and Lincoln Kennedy,...

Mads Mikkelsen in "Hannibal"Photo: NBC When it comes to television I'm behind most everyone in the world. I just can't keep up with everything that's supposedly good on television and continue watching as many movies as I watch in any given week. There just isn't enough time. However, when I like something I stick with it and in the case of "Hannibal", I watched the first episode of the second season the day after it aired back at the end of February. It was largely as I remembered the first season ending -- snowy, bloody, gruesome, metaphorical, etc. However, I just wasn't feeling it so I didn't want to force the issue. So, over the course of the second season I let the DVR fill up with all thirteen episodes and over the last few days I watched those final twelve episodes. I was riveted and love how each...

Mads Mikkelsen, who played the Bond villain Le Chiffre in “Casino Royale” has now been officially cast as Dr. Hannibal Lecter in NBC’s forthcoming TV series “Hannibal”, based on Thomas Harris’s infamous character.
The Danish actor sure has some big shoes to fill. British actor Brain Cox played Lecter (spelt Lecktor back then) in Michael Mann’s 80′s thriller “Manhunter” and Anthony Hopkins has played the iconic killer 3 time in “Silence of the Lambs” (for which he won an Oscar), “Hannibal” and Manhunter remake “Red Dragon”.
Mikkelsen joins Britain’s Hugh Dancy who fills the shoes of FBI Agent Will Graham, a role that has previously been played by Edward Norton (Red Dragon) and William Peterson (Manhunter). The show will initially find Lecter and Graham as friends with Lecter helping Graham solve some gruesome crimes before Lecter turns bad several episodes in.

How many of you out there are at all excited about the upcoming NBC series based on Thomas Harris’ infamous character, Hannibal Lecter? I must admit, when I heard a crime procedural starring one the most iconic horror characters of all time was being produced for network television I was skeptical. But then I heard who was developing it: Bryan Fuller, the creator of the amazing and short-lived Pushing Daisies and one of the few writers on Heroes who knew what he was doing. If Fuller has in hands in it, it’s at least worth a look.
Fuller spoke with EW.com, giving the skinny on how this series will work on a network like NBC. In a nutshell, Fuller has taken about five-pages worth of backstory from the Harris novel Red Dragon and used that as his basis for the Hannibal series. Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daises, Heroes) recently sat down with EW to discuss Hannibal, the upcoming NBC drama. The show just got picked up for 13 episodes. The first couple of seasons will be based solely on five pages of back story from Thomas Harris' Red Dragon. The series will have Dr. Lecter solving crimes with FBI profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy). Audiences will follow Lecter while he is at large, which I think will be a nice change from our past interaction with the character.
Here is what Fuller had to say about plans for the first season: It’s before he was incarcerated, so he’s more of a peacock. There is a cheery disposition to our Hannibal. He’s not being telegraphed as a villain. If the audience didn’t know who he was, they wouldn’t see him coming. What we have is Alfred Hitchcock’s principle...

More details have emerged about just what we can expect from NBC’s new crime show Hannibal, the first new scripted series from the network that they were so keen on they agreed to bypass the need for a pilot.
Creator/showrunner Bryan Fuller has revealed to EW that the show will initially follow FBI profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and genius psychoanalyst Hannibal Lecter (curiously, not yet cast) as a crime-fighting duo, teaming together to take down the worst criminals La has to offer.

As we already know, Bryan Fuller's "Hannibal" has already been ordered to series by NBC. The show will use the backstory from Thomas Harris’ novel "Red Dragon" as the basis for the setup with Dr. Hannibal Lecter (As Yet Uncast) and Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) working together to solve crimes, the latter unaware of the former's psychopathic tendencies.
Now, in an interview with EW, Fuller says that he pitched the show to the network as a seven-season series which would include stories from various Harris books. The intention is to follow a cable series model on network television with 13-episode seasons.
The story will also begin as a procedural following two highly intelligent men solving crimes, but the dynamic will change once Lecter is revealed to be a serial killer - "There is a cheery disposition to our Hannibal. He’s not being telegraphed as a villain. If the...

It's going to be very interesting to see just how Bryan Fuller and company intend to bring the nefarious Hannibal the Cannibal to the small screen. Recently Fuller shed some light on the transition.
Fuller ("Pushing Daises", "Heroes") is taking five pages of backstory about the infamous cannibal psychiatrist from Thomas Harris’ book Red Dragon and using it as the basis for the first couple of seasons of his planned drama.
“There is a cheery disposition to our Hannibal,” Fuller explains to EW of the yet-to-be-cast Lecter. “He’s not being telegraphed as a villain. If the audience didn’t know who he was, they wouldn’t see him coming. What we have is Alfred Hitchcock’s principle of suspense — show the audience the bomb under the table and let them sweat when it’s going to go boom. So the audience knows who Hannibal is so we don’t have to overplay his villainy.
