Screambox is getting even crazier with Lukas Rinker‘s bonkers black comedy Holy Shit!, a Screambox Original that’s now streaming!
Living up to its title, the single-location German splatterfest explores the horrors of being trapped inside a portable toilet.
Scriptwriter and director Lukas Rinker has created an ultimate worst-case scenario that feels relatable yet unimaginable at the same time when Architect Frank awakens bloodily trapped inside a portable toilet standing on a construction site.
“Architect Frank (Thomas Niehaus) regains consciousness in a locked portable toilet on a construction site where a detonation is being prepared. As he desperately tries to find ways of escaping this „prison” before potentially being blown to smithereens, he realizes who has put him into this predicament: none other than the corrupt and lecherous mayor Horst (Gedeon Burkhard) who also has designs on Frank‘s pregnant girlfriend Marie (Olga von Luckwald).

"You can't say I didn't try." That's for sure! Cinedigm has revealed the official US trailer for a hilarious, disgusting, wacky new horror film titled Holy Shit, which is the get-your-attention English title for this one. It originally premiered last year under the German title Ach Du Scheisse (which translates closer to "Oh Shit!") and is finally getting a US debut this week. It sounds like a Jackass movie spinoff, but with a sick and twisted, er, twist, about a corrupt mayor getting some F'ed up revenge. Architect Frank suddenly wakes up from being unconsciousness, squashed into a porta-potty. But it gets worse: In order not to be blown up during the imminent demolition where this particular porta potty is located, Frank must make his way out of his blue grave in one hour. Starring Thomas Niehaus as Frank, Rodney Charles, Gedeon Burkhard and Olga von Luckwald. It won the...

To me, the idea of getting trapped and potentially dying in a porta potty is one of the most unsettling "what ifs?" out there when it comes to bathrooms (and it's why I've always considered Stephen King's "A Very Tight Place" to be one of the scariest things he's ever written), so I'm especially creeped out by our exclusive clip from Lukas Rinker's feature debut, Holy Shit!
Below, you can watch the architect Frank (Thomas Niehaus) struggle to escape the claustrophobic confines of a porta potty in our exclusive clip from Holy Shit! (as well as the film's trailer), and keep an eye out for the movie when it exclusively streams on Screambox beginning Tuesday, March 21st!

Writer and director Quentin Tarantino is an avid film fan who famously pays homage to his favorite genre films in his own work, but for "Inglourious Basterds," he drew from his own filmography as well.
While "Basterds" is clearly inspired by numerous war films and Nazi exploitation movies like "Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS," Tarantino also loosely pulled from several of his previous films. In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Tarantino shared that he felt like "Inglourious Basterds" shared traits with his earlier films "True Romance," "Reservoir Dogs," and "Pulp Fiction." (Tarantino wrote the screenplay for "True Romance," which was directed by Tony Scott.) It's not surprising or unusual for a creative to draw from their earlier work, and Tarantino took some of the lessons learned from his past to make "Inglourious Basterds" the best it could be.

I recently watched Man On A Ledge for the first time but the title for it seemed a bit misleading. Yes, there was a man on a ledge but less than half of the movie seemed to be about and feature that man on the ledge. Now, although not 100 of Holy Shit! (aka Ach du Scheisse!) is focused on this one guy, it would still justify being titled ‘A Man In A Portaloo’.
I actually really enjoy single-location movies, maybe even more so when that location is very small. Whether it be Buried starring Ryan Reynolds, Phone Booth starring Colin Farrell or a movie more similar to Holy Shit! – the low-budget zombie movie Stalled, which takes place almost entirely in a toilet cubicle.
Here, Frank (Thomas Niehaus) wakes up in a portaloo that has been knocked on its side.

“We in the killin’ Nazi bizness. An’ cousin, bizness is boomin’!” Brad Pitt scalps his enemies, Mélanie Laurent serves up a killer double bill for the Führer, Michael Fassbender is a movie critic turned secret agent, and the amazing Christophe Waltz makes all previous movie villains seem lightweight. Now on 4K Ultra HD, Quentin Tarantino’s brutal-but-funny war movie is really a critique of Hollywood escapism. It’s the ultimate wish fulfillment fantasy for every trigger-happy Audie Murphy Jr. who ever attended a matinee. I thought the movie would be tarred and feathered by America’s guardians of war nostalgia; instead it took eight Oscar noms plus a win for actor Waltz: “That’s a Bingo!”

‘Ach Du Scheisse!’ is the feature debut for Lukas Rinker.
Arri Media International will handle world sales for writer/director Lukas Rinker’s feature debut, the “confined space” comic thriller Ach Du Scheisse! (working title), which began shooting in Offenbach near Frankfurt on Monday (March 1).
The action takes place in real time over 90 minutes, as architect Frank (Thomas Niehaus) regains consciousness in a locked portaloo – known in German vernacular by local brand name Dixi Klo – on a building site where a detonation is being prepared.

This week sees the release of several new movies and TV shows, some for the first time ever on Blu-ray. Of the ones coming out this week, we’re excited for a few of them in particular. These esteemed examples of entertainment include The Natural, Dreamscape, the debut of the quirky ABC show The Unusuals, the second season of Simon & Simon, Cocoon and the Blu-ray premiere of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (pictured above with Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellan and John Rhys-Davies). Yes, we realize it’s not the director’s cut of the trilogy but still, having these great films on Blu-ray in any form is cause for excitement.

The latest movie given to us by NBC Universal to review from the iTunes library is Quentin Tarantino’s Basterds, that would be in the Inglourious ones! Inglourious Basterds is one of the movies of 2009 for me. I saw an advanced preview of the movie and was desperate to see it again but for some reason that took me about six months to do! Unfortunately life gets in the way and so do many many other movies which meant that I didn’t get to watch it until I had some time over Christmas and the second viewing was better than the first!
After rigging my laptop up to my TV, plugging in the surround sound and turning it up to 11, I was in for a treat as my wife and two friends were there to experience this wonderful movie for their first time. Often a movie like this may...

Note: The following essay, which is obviously being published months after the release of Inglourious Basterds, was written for a literary criticism class that explores theory behind literary criticism and focuses on analyzing textual works from a variety of perspectives. This assignment involved using these tools of literature to explore a work outside of the written word — I chose Inglourious Basterds. I thought I’d share it in order to show just how relevant Basterds is to the craft as a whole, so enjoy it!
To argue that filmed media such as motion pictures and television shows should not be judged or viewed in the same critical light as a piece of literature is overlooking an essential facet of this media. Film is rooted in the written word, and every event in motion is sparked by a screenplay that could easily merit a critical analysis of form, depth, and “literariness.

If Quentin Tarantino were a pro-wrestler, his name would be Grisly Von Bloody-Mirth. His signature move would be the Laughing Kill-Shot, a move so witty and violent that it inspires laughs rather than humane shock. The move was used in Pulp Fiction when Marvin, a hapless captive of Vincent (John Travolta) and Jules (Samuel L. Jackson), was shot in the face and, again, in every film he has done. It’s no different in his latest feature, Inglourious Basterds. Tarantino’s long-suffering World War II opus, inspired by Italian director Enzo Castellari’s 1978 B-movie Inglorious Bastards, stars Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Mélanie Laurent and Daniel Brühl in a revenge fantasy about a rag-tag group made up of mostly Jewish-Americans who enact merciless operations against Nazi soldiers.
“You probably heard we ain’t in the prisoner-takin’ business; we in the killin’ Nazi business. And cousin, business is a-boomin,” mutters Pitt’s Lt.

Cast members caught napping on the set of Quentin Tarantino's new movie Inglourious Basterds were humiliated by a large purple dildo.
The moviemaker introduced sex toy 'Big Jerry' on the first day of shooting and then posted pictures of sleeping stars like Brad Pitt and Diane Kruger, with the dildo, on a daily Board of Shame.
Actor Michael Fassbender admits he was one of the only castmates not to make the board - because he found ways of sleeping in secret.
He tells WENN, "Big Jerry was a giant purple dildo, very large in girth and length. Basically, anybody that was caught going to sleep would get photographed with Big Jerry the dildo somewhere near their face and put up on the Board of Shame. The idea was three strikes and you're out.
"This kind of really worried me because I have a tendency to nap. If I have 10 or 15 minutes you'd find me in a corner underneath something but I never got caught.
"Brad (Pitt) was up there once on the Board of Shame, Gedeon Burkhard got caught twice, Diane (Kruger) was on the board... There was a lot of people on that board."...

When it comes to revenge, the band of Jewish Nazi-hunters takes a page from the Apache. But this just isn't a skill that comes naturally. It takes practice, so of course Tarantino organized a contest. B.J. Novak, who plays Private First Class Smithson Utivitch, explains:
It all started when we were all having drinks at a bar in Berlin called Tarantino's, which, believe it or not, is actually a Quentin Tarantino — themed bar. Anyway, over drinks Quentin told us, "You guys are going to have scalping training tomorrow, and as motivation, I'm gonna give close-ups to the top three scalpers." I went home and stayed up late looking up "scalping" on Wikipedia, and the next day, I was one the best. I was the best, if I may say. Other...

Quentin Tarantino has begun production on his exploitation/war epic Inglorious Bastards. Now, that's the last time I can use the correct spelling of those words in connection with this film, because Qt spells it Inglourious Basterds, an artistic decision (or editing omission) for which I find I have a very low tolerance.
Anyway, Basterds is currently filming, and enjoy this Love Boat-sized ensemble: Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Mélanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Brühl, Eli Roth, Samm Levine, B.J. Novak, Til Schweiger, Gedeon Burkhard, Paul Rust, Michael Bacall, Omar Doom, Sylvester Groth, Julie Dreyfus, Jacky Ido, August Diehl, Martin Wuttke, Richard Sammel, Christian Berkel, Sönke Möhring, Michael Fassbender, Mike Myers, Rod Taylor, Denis Menochet and apparently, Cloris by God Leachman. I would so love it if Cloris Leachman has a cameo as Frau Blücher.
The last we heard, the hope is still to have this done in time for Cannes...

Here's a round-up of some stuff (and things) currently causing waves online:
-- Word has it the first full length trailer for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek will debut in front of [insert popular film here] this November. TrekMovie claims it will be a "real trailer" with actual "footage from the film." Imagine that! If it does indeed premiere in November, the most likely place for it will be before Quantum of Solace on November 14th. In a related piece, Abrams has confirmed the running time to be about two hours.
-- Principal photography on Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (new spelling) has begun in Germany (see initial poster to the right), and what appears to be the full, final cast has been announced (and it includes some familiar Tarantino regulars). Joining Brad Pitt will be Diane Kruger, Mélanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Brühl, Eli Roth, Samm Levine, B.J. Novak, Til Schweiger, Gedeon Burkhard,...
