Texas School Shooting Prompts Online Outrage, Calls To Action By Hollywood & Media Figures
The official synopsis of the fourth-season finale written by showrunner Rick Eid and directed by Alex Chapple: As the team investigates a deadly robbery that garnered a cache of automatic weapons for the killers, they discover one of the perps is a classmate of Jubal’s son, who is reluctant to cooperate with the case.
In its place, CBS will air the rerun of the season’s 12th episode, which originally aired in February. As of now, the network is just pulling the original FBI, rather than FBI: Most Wanted or FBI: International, which also have their season finales tonight.

CBS’ FBI franchise will be continuing to solve crimes for the next few years after the network handed all three shows a two-season pickup.
FBI will return for its fifth and sixth seasons, FBI: Most Wanted comes back for a fourth and fifth and FBI: International gets picked up for its second and third season.
Cancellations/Renewals Scorecard: TV Shows Ended Or Continuing In 2021-22 Season
It is the network’s latest bumper renewal order, having given The Equalizer a two-season pickup last week.
All three shows were all expected to return given their ratings success helped the network once again win the 2021-22 season; FBI is the No. 2-rated series on broadcast, after CBS’ NCIS, FBI: International is the number two new drama of the season and FBI: Most Wanted is a top ten broadcast series.
All three shows are produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, in association with CBS Studios.

“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” has been renewed for a 21st season by NBC, making the Dick Wolf-created crime procedural the longest-running primetime live-action series in television history.
The Mariska Hargitay-led drama’s Season 21 renewal dethroned previous record-holders “Law & Order” (1990-2010) and “Gunsmoke” (1955-75), both of which had a 20-season run.
“Law & Order: Svu,” which stars Hargitay as Lt. Olivia Benson, chronicles the lives of the Special Victims Unit of the New York City Police Department, an elite squad of detectives who investigate crimes of sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence. The renewal makes Lt. Benson the longest-running female character in a primetime live-action series.

As Law & Order: Svu is heading into its record-tying 20th season, NBC is expanding the Law & Order franchise with a 13-episode order to Law & Order: Hate Crimes, from Law & Order boss Dick Wolf.
Co-created with one of Wolf’s top lieutenants, former Law & Order: Svu showrunner Warren Leight, the latest Law & Order installment is based on New York’s actual Hate Crimes Task Force, the second oldest bias-based task force in the U.S. The unit, which pledges to uphold a zero tolerance policy against discrimination of any kind, works under the NYPD’s real Special Victims Unit and often borrows Svu’s detectives to assist in their investigations.
The new Law & Order series will be introduced as a planted spinoff from Svu, with the first incarnation of the new unit appearing in the latter part of the upcoming season of the Mariska Hargitay-starring series.

The Americans Season 1, Episode 7 ‘Duty and Honor’
Directed by Alex Chapple
Written by Joshua Brand
airs Wednesday nights at 10pm Et on FX
“You Americans think everything is white and black; for us, it is all gray.” – Nina
On the surface, duty and honor seem like very simple concepts – but as tonight’s episode of The Americans proves, there’s no such thing as ‘simple’ in life, be it normal life issues like the ups and downs of marriage, or more dramatic, fantastical fare like living under a secret identity, separated from the country you love and the person you thought you were. ‘Duty and Honor’ explores these ideas in every nook and cranny of the characters and plot, in one of the best hours of television in recent memory.
Although the episode is largely about Phillip, it’s Elizabeth who is the most interesting character to watch in the episode.

Chicago – Some franchises are best left undiscovered. “Stargate” originally began as a terrible 1994 film from B-movie maestro Roland Emmerich. It took a potentially interesting premise, and used it as an excuse for a lot of uninspired sci-fi warfare. The film, bad as it was, inexplicably spawned two long-running TV shows: “Stargate Sg-1” and “Stargate: Atlantis.”
Fearing that their franchise had become outdated, producers Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper set their sights on creating a dark, edgy show more apt to connect with modern audiences. Thus, we have “Sg-u Stargate Universe” or as I like to call it, “Stargate: The J.J. Abrams Rip-Off.” It does a great job of being like everything else on television, without ever developing a compelling vision of its own. The show is sure to disappoint longtime “Stargate” fans, while failing to interest viewers who have no idea what “dialing the ninth Chevron” means.
