I’m not going to lie, the Axeman franchise is starting to get a bit confusing… the original film was released in 2013 and a sequel arrived a few years later under the title Axeman 2: Overkill. Then in 2020 the original film was recut and re-edited, making it – as filmmaker Joston Theney stated – a more straightforward horror with a leaner edit, new footage and new music. Originally set to be released under the title Axeman: Redux, instead it was released as Axemen at Cutter’s Creek.
Now comes Axeman at Cutter’s Creek 2 which, if you believe IMDb is a sequel to Axeman 2 and Not Axemen at Cutter’s Creek – though the press materials claims otherwise, stating...

A release date has been announced for Joston Theney's Axeman 2: Overkill. This slasher feature and follow-up to the 2013 film will be released in mid-October. The film involves a few groups of people and one crazed axe-wielding local legend. This is no Paul Bunyan, though. And, the bodies pile up at Cutter's Creek. In the film, Farrah Abraham ("Teen Mom"), Rachel Reilly ("Big Brother"), Angelica Bridges and Bryan Clark star. A preview of the film's launch is hosted here. The trailer shows lots of bloodshed. As the Axeman goes about his business, the characters look for escape. But, no one knows Cutter's Creek like this notorious killer. #SinningWorks will be releasing the film. Today filmmaker Joston “El Rey” Theney and his production / distribution company #SinningWorks have unveiled new artwork for the second installment of their 80’s throwback slasher series, titled Axeman 2: Overkill, which sees a band of crazed evangelical Christians, murderous bank robbers and revenge-seeking vigilantes descend upon Cutter’s Creek… There’s only one local legend that can separate them. And dismember them.
Axeman 2: Overkill‘s cast include Farrah Abraham (MTV’s Teen Mom Og), Rachel Reilly (CBS’ Big Brother), Angelica Bridges (Baywatch, The Bold and The Beautiful) and Bryan Clark (WWE’s Adam Bomb, WCW’s Wrath). This upcoming film marks the return of the Axeman at Cutter’s Creek (review), first seen in the 2014 original.
Says El Rey:
I think this poster more accurately conveys the tone of the film. While the previous artwork was cool, it felt a little wooden and dry. This film is dark and sick.

Bungie’s weekly reset of the Destiny servers has come once again, bringing with it the usual changes to the shooter’s various PvE and PvP content. Nightfall, Prison of Elders and Crucible have all received their respective rotations, with past modifiers and bosses returning from previous resets to keep Guardians on their toes.
The Shadow Thief is the mission being featured as this week’s Nightfall Strike, with Fresh Troops, Match Game, Catapult and Exposure being the modifiers you’ll need to contend with in order to take down the overgrown Fallen boss Taniks, The Scarred. Once again, there’s no elemental burn mutator to make things easy this week, although you’ll want to choose a loadout that features every type, as the Match Burn modifier requires Guardians to use elementals matching enemy shields in order to take them down efficiently. We told you about Joston Theney's sequel to his flick Axeman, entitled Axeman 2: Overkill, a few weeks back; and right now we have an exclusive interview with star Rachel Reilly ("Big Brother," "The Amazing Race") to share.
Dread Central: Mum's been the word with the producers, Joston "El Rey" Theney and Dr. Christopher Otiko, so. What can you tell us about the film?
Rachel Reilly: The film is reminiscent of a 1980s slasher film. It has a witty script and is really fun, action-packed, and of course scary. You're going to laugh and have to cover your eyes! It's everything you want in a horror flick! They take the killings to a whole new level.
DC: You play "Breaker" in the film. What can you tell us about the character? How does she fit into this world?
Rr: Breaker is one badass chic whose only loyalty is to a paycheck!

With the likes of Adam Bomb, Leaky Lindsay, and New Wave Dave populating the Garbage Pail Kids universe, the delightfully deformed and often downright disgusting Kids are set to make their mark on the world of comics, just in time for their 30th Anniversary in 2015!

We told you about Joston Theney's sequel to his flick Axeman, entitled Axeman 2: Overkill, a couple of weeks back; and right now we have the first ever interview with star Angelica Bridges ("Baywatch," "The Bold and The Beautiful").
Dread Central: The producers, Joston "El Rey" Theney and Dr. Christopher Otiko, have been a little tight-lipped about the script. What can you tell us about the film?
Angelica Bridges: I don't want to give out too many of the gory details, but I will say they are going for more horror, if that's even possible. They will be taking the "killings" in the film to a whole other level of profoundness! People that usually don't ever cover their eyes while watching horror films will probably be starting a new trend after watching this film.
DC: You play "Dungie" in the film. What can you tell us about the character?...

In the 1980′s, The Topps Company brought us the likes of Garbage Pail Kids Adam Bomb and Mad Donna, and now they have given birth to a new Gpk character just for Sdcc 2014: the pixelated sword-wielding, goggle-clad “Comic Conner.” After a five year hiatus, Topps is returning to Sdcc with new jumbo Gpk card prints, a Mars Attacks Trading Card Scavenger Hunt, and more.
Beginning at their own Booth #4120, Topps’ Mars Attacks scavenger hunt will feature nine free puzzle cards located at booths throughout the convention space, with each card a clue to where the next one lies. Once compiled, all nine cards form a large image of the Mars aliens wreaking havoc on humans. The cards were created by artist Chad McCown as a continuation to the Mars Attacks: Invasion! card series that debuted in 2013.

A lot of successful WWE performers can trace their lineage through Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling. Rob Van Dam became WWE Champion (and Ecw Champion) in 2006. Tazz parlayed his wrestling character into a successful announcing career starting in 2002. The homicidal, genocidal, maniac that was Sabu played an important role in the re-launch of the Ecw brand beginning with 2006′s One Night Stand PPV (facing Rey Mysterio for his World Championship). To varying degrees, the Ecw experience helped shape the careers of many former WWE World Champions such as Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Mick Foley, Eddie Guerrero and Steve Austin.
However, there’s the other group. Those are the many Ecw performers whose experience in the WWE was far less thrilling. While these wrestlers have mostly been relegated more to footnotes of WWE history we’ll take a moment to recall their time as superstars in the world’s biggest pro-wrestling company.

Back in 1985 I was little more than a rambunctious little shit with a penchant for consuming revolting amounts of Starburst, sneaking constant peeks at my brother’s “hidden” Playboy cache and collecting a personal precursor to horror memorabilia... The Garbage Pail Kids.
They weren’t all just about nasty, over-the-top visuals. A few of those damned things were disturbing as all hell, with innuendos far, far beyond my grasp. Seriously, what the fuck was Nasty Nick doing clutching a life-size doll? Creepy.
My infatuation with The Garbage Pail Kids only lasted two years, as menaces like Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees soon filled a void that was partially birthed by those freaky cards. It’s still hard to believe Topps had a hand in that creation, but I – and I’m certain countless others – am quite glad the collectible card powerhouse dipped their feet in the proverbial pool of filth.

Mark Calaway debuted as The Undertaker at WWF’s 1990 edition of the Survivor Series. Though the seeming dumbed-down idiocy of an “Undertaker” who used a “Tombstone Piledriver” and had a talk show called the “Funeral Parlor”could have made even the most ardent fan stray from professional wrestling in the past 25 years, it’s actually been the Undertaker that has kept us so engrossed. Mainly, because he’s so unique, and for the purposes of this list, genuinely scary. The Undertaker is the one character in pro wrestling that proves that great work can overcome terrible booking.
From being a freakshow in pancake makeup to a demonic cult leader, motorcycle gang leader, literally the devil incarnate or a Texas outlaw, the connective tie has always been that he’s able to make his character somehow personal. The fear associated with hearing the gong, seeing the smoke (or fire), druids,...

With annual talks that Sting is in negotiations with WWE looking stronger than ever, Aj Styles actually leaving Tna to become a free agent and Kurt Angle recently stating that he expects to return to the WWE in September when his Tna contract expires, it looks like we’re likely to see more talent cross-over between the two companies, following the rich thread of figures who have jumped across the divide in the past. To celebrate some of those figures, we have put together a rundown of some of the stars who made their name in either WCW or Tna and then made the step across (or up, as some might more strongly put it) to the WWE.

The Main Event and Nxt this week showed a very European flavor with double duty from Antonio Césaro. The former Us champion showed why, despite popular opinion, he is not boring. Hopefully his future will change soon enough. And he will be at the level that we all know he deserves. A card-carrying example of this was this week’s Main Event featured contest as Antonio versus Sheamus.
The match between the two men was a smash mouth back-and-forth contest. There was a segment in which Antonio hit a European uppercut as Sheamus was coming off the top rope with a shoulder block, which was a thing of beauty. The Celtic warrior was definitely trying to get the very bare-bones Cesaro over to management. But I think the office just sees him as that mechanic that can work with anybody. Nothing more. Nothing less. As sad as that is to say.

It’s been one year since Cm Punk gave his famous ‘pipebomb’ promo on Raw, starting the switch from a heel to a face. Weeks later he went on to defeat John Cena at Money in the Bank and leave the company as the champion, much to the chagrin of Mr McMahon, whose newest onscreen stooge, John Laurinaitis, was making his WWE debut. The reaction from his native Chicago crowd solidified his position as the new major face of the company. But how did it go so wrong?
A little over a month later he was facing Cena at Summerslam, where, despite beating the leader of ‘CeNation’ to unify the WWE Championships, he was pinned by Alberto Del Rio cashing in his Mitb briefcase, following a powerbomb by a returning Kevin Nash. He then entered a feud with Nash and Triple H, which didn’t come to any great conclusion,...

While most everyone else in the U.S. sprang forward over the weekend, this piece of news accidentally turned its clocks back -- to 1987: There's another "Garbage Pail Kids" movie in development reports Vulture.
You say you missed the first one? Check out the trailer:
The new film based on the gross-out trading card series, which depicted parodies of Cabbage Patch dolls with punny names like Adam Bomb, Half-Nelson and Alice Island, will be directed by Pes (New York-based animator Adam Pesapane), who has actually created some cool stop-motion videos like 2009 Sundance winner, "Western Spaghetti":
No word on a potential plot for the movie, but perhaps with Pes' skills, something as trivial as plot isn't actually required.

With board game adaptations like Battleship and Candyland coming, not to mention toys like Stretch Armstrong following in the footsteps of G.I. Joe and Transformers by making the leap to the big screen, there's no doubt nostalgia is alive in Hollywood, but I wouldn't exactly call it healthy. Now Tinseltown is really digging in the bottom of the well, or rather the trash can, as Deadline has word that former Disney CEO Michael Eisner is financing and developing a feature film based on Garbage Pail Kids, a line of Topps trading cards parodying Cabbage Patch Kids toys which turned into live-action feature in 1987. As Wikipedia describes the crude but funny trading card series, each sticker card featured a Garbage Pail Kid character having some comical abnormality and/or suffering some terrible fate, and a humorous, word play-rich character name, such as Glandular Angela, Adam Bomb or Fryin' Brian. Michael Vukadinovich,...
