In 1983, Teagan was training with Don Ross at the Olympia Health Club in Oakland, California. She told him she wanted to be the Arnold Schwarzenegger of female bodybuilding.
She was abandoned as a baby, and was cared by some institutions and foster homes.
She made headlines when she showed up for a bodybuilding competition
that had been canceled without her realizing it until after she entered
the arena.
Since the 1980s, she has written articles for periodicals, including Iron Man and Muscle & Fitness.
