- Nancy Czar was born on January 4, 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. She is an actress, known for Winter A-Go-Go (1965), Wild Guitar (1962) and What's Up Front! (1964). She was previously married to Samuel Stuart Bretzfield and Tom McFadden.

- Former Olympic ice-skater. After leaving show-business she returned to the sport as coach to the South Korean figure skating team.
- Her husband was an honorary US consulate in Bangladesh starting in 1977. When he died in 1986, Nancy took over the post and served in that capacity until 1995.
- In 1986, Walt Disney, NBC Studios and the creators of The Golden Girls (1985) were named in a federal copyright infringement suit filed by Czar, under the name of Nancy Bretzfield, claiming the show was based on her script, called "Getting Along," that had been rejected by NBC in 1980. The suit was later settled.
