They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Former paparazzi Thomas Grady’s most recent picture is certainly worth a lot more. Thomas has inadvertently captured a scandalous, revealing shot of one of the world’s most prominent and beloved figures—the First Lady. What ensues is a terrific conflict of morals, love and money. Selling the picture could resolve all of his professional and financial troubles, but it will also force him to confront the love of his life, as this photo puts the true nature of their relationship to a test. Then there’s the President and First Lady; how far do you think they will go to protect their privacy?...

Scavenger Killers’ Dylan Bank is the latest subject in our Q&A series, with the director telling us all about the making of his latest movie:
Thanks for taking the time to chat with us Dylan. Can you tell us how you got involved with “Scavenger Killers”?
No problem, I can talk about movies forever, just tell the guy standing right offstage with the big cane to yank me when my time is up. My first film, “Nightmare” played at Ken Del Vecchio’s Hoboken International Film Festival a few years back, and won some awards. Those were sweet awards to win, because they came with cash, and as someone who’d been around the block with festivals across the world, Ken’s festival was one of the best. I mean, he had a comedian hosting it, people getting roasted, clips from the movie, a whole red-carpet ceremony – it was impressive.

Need some more serial killer fare in your life? Midnight Releasing announces the July 1st DVD, VOD and Digital Download release of Scavenger Killers, a blood and guts contemporary tale of justice gone very, very wrong. Directed by Dylan Blank and co-written by Kenneth Del Vecchio and Rachael Robbins, Scavenger Killers stars Robert Bogue (The Following) as charismatic and respected Judge Taylor Limone, and co-starring Rachael Robbins (Bikini Bloodbath Christmas) as sultry, scheming attorney Clara Lovering, the film graphically portrays what can happen when the pressures of bringing the most heinous criminals to justice ferments into a darkly psychological and sexual pursuit of perverse pleasure.

When looking over the cast for a little low budget horror flick, you don't usually see the names of Academy Award nominees. That rarely happens. Usually you get cats like Dustin Diamond, etc. Well, the upcoming flick Scavenger Killers inexplicably has them both and then some!
Dylan Bank directs from a screenplay by Kenneth Del Vecchio and Rachael Robbins. Now here's the neat thing... the cast! Eric Roberts, Robert Loggia, and Charles Durning all star along with Robert Bogue (The Good Guy, "Guiding Light"), Rachael Robbins (An Affirmative Act, Screaming Dead), Dustin Diamond ("Saved by the Bell"), Kim Allen ("Army Wives"), Angela Little (American Pie Bandcamp, The Life Zone), and Suzi Lorraine (Solid State, The Haunting of Pearson Place).
Take a look at the first trailer and artwork!

Life Zone created some controversy earlier this year when the film's first trailer was released. This is a pro-life film developed by former New Jersey Judge and Hoboken International Film Festival founder Kenneth Del Vecchio. The film takes on controversial material, abortion rights, and Life Zone also brings a religious perspective to this topic. In the film's story, several women are apparently kidnapped and forced to deliver children. However, the characters are actually in Purgatory as revealed in a few early previews (Movieline). Some of the women are condemned for their pregnancy choices or life decisions, while others find more heavenly destinations. This title was developed in bad taste on so many levels. It is hard to believe that Life Zone has now found a release date on home video formats. Screen Media Films will release this disturbing tale on DVD December 11th. Expectant mothers might want to skip the release.

Regardless of where you fall on the ideological spectrum regarding abortion, you'll likely find something cringeworthy in The Life Zone. Written and produced by former New Jersey judge/current State Senate hopeful (and, according to Zone's trailer, "Best-selling Author)" Kenneth Del Vecchio, the film premiered over the weekend at the Hoboken International Film Festival (which Del Vecchio, uh, founded) and is making the rounds as a trailblazing example of pro-life cinema -- and not necessarily in a good way. Movieline has yet to check the film out but has inventoried all of the peripheral jaw-droppery in the news:...

It's about a group of young women who were swiped off the abortion table and dragged to some nightmarish world where a doctor wants to force them to have their babies against their will. Kenneth Del Vecchio's film (he wrote and produced this gem), The Life Zone, sounds like some kind of forced breeding XXX tale that doesn't really exist – but it does, and we have the trailer to prove it. Gird your loins and peep the trailer for "The Life Zone," the world's first horror movie to push a pro-life agenda. In "Zone," three women wake up in a room where they're being held hostage. No, they haven't been trawling Eastern European hostels for good times or playing with Jigsaw; they were kidnapped while waiting to get abortions.
Too bad for them; they're being forced by a gravelly voice guy with impressive eyebrows (a priest, perhaps?) and a ruthless female doctor to stay pregnant and give birth. The room looks like a leftover set from "Saw," except with walls covered in religious paintings and symbols. Maybe writer Ken Del Vecchio has been listening to "Papa Don't Preach" a little too much?
Speaking of Del Vecchio, he's done a couple of, well, interesting films that have political overtones, such as "O.B.A.M. Nude" and "Talking Points Memo," as well as something that...

Kenneth Del Vecchio, a former municipal court judge who is currently has his eye on the New Jersey State Senate, is a terribly busy man. When he's not campaigning, he's making films, such as, for example, a satirical work on the life of President Barack Obama (O.B.A.M. Nude) which, last year, resulted in his resignation. At the time, Tpm described the oeuvre as "a movie about a coke-addled college student who sells his soul to the devil in order to impose his socialist will on the country." So, like The Smurfs movie, but not in 3D. Now, Del Vecchio has focused his talents on The Life Zone, a parody of the Saw franchise wherein a trio of young women are held in a room for seven months until they give birth to the children they had planned to abort.

Mixing, well, just about every "kidnapped 'em, toss 'em in a room and let's do nasty stuff to 'em" film we've seen in the last decade comes The Life Zone , a "pro-life" horror film. The gist? A group of young woman are kidnapped from an abortion clinic and held against their will by a man and a doctor. You see, this guy doesn't want them to "commit murder," so they'll have their damn babies whether they want to or not. And, as the doctor says, they'll have these babies "simultaneously." Um, how that is planned, I have no clue. The trailer alone is riddled with logistical problems. This batshit crazy propaganda comes from writer-producer Ken Del Vecchio. As a rule, actors shouldn’t fear playing unlikable characters, as Nick Raio has discovered. “Taught to Hate” is a short film based in part on real stories of racially motivated crimes against immigrants in Suffolk County, N.Y. In it, Raio plays a man who shares his racism with his nephew.“A lot of my stuff has been either comedy, a gangster, or a cop,” he says. “It was a great role for me, and I like the fact that I was doing something different and that there was a message attached to this film.”The casting notice, which ran in the Aug. 6 issue of Back Stage, called for a Caucasian male, 45–55, and Raio fit the description. At the audition, he read from sides and impressed director James Garcia-Sotomayer, who says he knew Raio was right to play Uncle Ethan “even though there were a lot of other great actors.

From the moment iMURDERS (just out on DVD from Anchor Bay) begins, the viewer is struck with a feeling of, to use on-line slang, Wtf? Halfway through the credits is a video interlude depicting a cheating husband getting busted by his wife, and a subsequent gunshot. We don’t see the faces of anyone involved, or even who takes the bullet. Once the remaining credits come to an end, this event isn’t brought up again for more than half the movie; we literally forget all about it until the shooting resurfaces. What unspools instead is a thinly veiled morality tale for the Internet generation, hiding behind a murder mystery.
As the story proper begins, we meet Sandra Wilson (Terri Colombino) as she’s about to move into a new apartment. Having learned about the listing from one of her on-line friends, Sandra is eager to show her less tech-savvy...
