Joseph Depew was born on July 11, 1912 in Harrison, New Jersey, USA. He was an assistant director and producer, known for The Beverly Hillbillies (1962), The Bob Cummings Show (1955) and Park Row (1952). He was married to Dorothy Depew. He died on October 30, 1988 in Escondido, California, USA.

Joseph Depew started his career as a child actor. He was employed on
stage, in film and in television his entire life. As he used to say,
"I've been a workin' man since the age of three, darlin'."
He culminated his career as director of The Beverly Hillbillies (1962), the #1 TV show in the
country at the time. He died a happily retired man surrounded by his
family in 1988 at the age of 76.
