Husband Maxwell Joseph Hall Turner (1907-1960) was a barrister-at-law, Queen's Counsel and from 1958 a judge of the Mayor's and City of London Court . She retired for nearly a decade following their 1938 marriage. The couple had one child, a daughter named Deirdre (born March 1940).
