- His first band, The Faragher Brothers - which included three of his older brothers - was the first all white band to appear on Soul Train in 1974.
- Younger brother of Grammy-nominated composer and performer, Tommy Faragher.
- Was in the videos, "Teen Angst" and "Happy Birthday to Me", while bass player in the band Cracker; during which time he was known for his colored dreadlocks and playing live shows in drag with brick red Doc Marten boots. Was also featured playing bongos in the video "Little Head" while in John Hiatt's band The Nashville Queens, and "Monkey to Man" with Elvis Costello and the Imposters.
- Older brothers Danny and Jimmy's band, The Peppermint Trolley Company enjoyed commercial success in the 1970s. Aside from minor hit singles like, "Baby, You Come Rollin' Across My Mind", the members recorded the theme for the TV series, Love American Style and the first season of The Brady Bunch.
- One of the top session players in Los Angeles, he has played bass in Elvis Costello's band, The Imposters, for the past five years. (April 2001)
- He has played west coast dates with She & Him, an acoustic dream-pop duo consisting of actress Zooey Deschanel & guitarist M. Ward. (October 2008)
- Faragher has also joined and is recording with newly assembled super group, The Scrolls. The collective includes musicians Glen Phillips of Toad The Wet Sprocket, Benmont Tench from The Heartbreakers, along with Nickel Creek's Sean and Sara Watkins and fellow Impostor Pete Thomas, among others.
