The upcoming Frasier revival will debut on Paramount+ next month, but there’s another Frasier project set to premiere the day before that might just catch your interest. Our Frasier Remake is a collaborative, animated art project that involves over a hundred filmmakers, animators, and visual artists recreating individual segments of an iconic Frasier episode.
The animated Frasier project will tackle the first season finale, My Coffee With Niles, and feature 185 chopped-up segments of the episode. A different artist tackled each section, which brings a multitude of different visual styles and mediums. The original episode found Frasier wondering whether or not he was truly happy, which Our Frasier Remake creator Jacob Reed believes was “a thinly veiled question about whether or not a spin-off of Cheers called Frasier was worth it. Three decades later, we’re asking the same question about the reboot. Our Frasier Remake is a celebration of Frasier,...

Usually, the fall season brings dozens of new TV shows to the airwaves, but with the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, the season looks like it may be a virtual dead zone, and that’s not only because no shows are currently shooting. Fully completed seasons are also sitting on the shelf, with many of them star-driven projects that need their talent front and center, selling them to get the viewership they need to succeed.
According to a report in THR, this includes already wrapped seasons of Feud, the Orphan Black spinoff Echoes at AMC+, Paramount’s Frasier sequel series and new star-driven prestige projects. This includes shows like Vince Vaughn’s Bad Monkey, Palm Royale with Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern, and The Curse starring Emma Stone. Even a show like Fargo, which should have a built-in audience, will likely find its latest season delayed. The new season stars Jon Hamm...

Production on the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series “Before,” starring Billy Crystal, is being shut down until the Writers Guild strike ends, an individual with knowledge of the matter confirmed to TheWrap Thursday.
The series, which comes from Paramount Television Studios, stars Crystal as a child psychologist and recent widower who encounters a troubled young boy. The series is written by Sarah Thorp (“The Bounty Hunter”) and Adam Bernstein (“Fargo”) is directing the pilot. Crystal, Thorp, Bernstein, Jet Wilkinson (“The Old Man”) and Eric Roth (“Dune”) serve as executive producers for the series.
The series had been filming in Hoboken, New Jersey, and was temporarily shut down by WGA picketing earlier this month before being placed on an indefinite pause. Other series that have been halted on the East Coast include Disney+’s “Daredevil: Born Again” and Max’s “The Penguin.” In Montana, the “Yellowstone” prequel “1923” was also put on hold until the strike ends.

The second of the Philip Yordan and John Carr collaborations released by Tetrovideo recently, Marilyn Alive and Behind Bars was originally filmed in the early 80s. Filmed but unfinished, with some portions of the movie incorporated into the anthology Night Train to Terror, in the segment “The Case of Harry Billings,” which was released in 1985. After that, the producers completed their version of this movie, using almost all the materials filmed and released this version of the film on VHS as Scream Your Head Off. That film made an appearance in 1992’s Dead Girls Don’t Tango as a film showing at the La Paloma cinema which was at the centre of the film’s story.

Max McCall is a bad brother, a worse friend, and a great TV character. That’s half down to Mark Bonnar’s exceptional performance as the disbarred lawyer who’d sell his granny for a rung back up the ladder he slid down in series one, and half down to creator Neil Forsyth’s writing.
Guilt’s scripts are beauties; they tell their twisting thriller story about crime, class and family without cliché or predictability. They’re funny and political, because so are people, and they’re universal because they have a pin-sharp sense of place. You don’t need to be from Leith or Edinburgh for its us-and-them rivalry to resonate, or to get the baked-in meaning of local boundaries and kinships, or see why it’s a punchline for a character to have moved to Dundee.
Anybody can also understand how wealth might be an expressway out of poverty and powerlessness,...

In beautiful Tinseltown, the users who post in our forums are both admired for the acclaim they bestow and feared for their vicious shade. When it came to this year’s TV categories at the Golden Globes hosted by Seth Meyers, they continued to hold nothing back, which you can view here. Reactions ranged from yawning over “no big shockers” to complaining about Sterling K. Brown being “overexposed.”
Below is just a taste of what was dished out over the ceremony’s duration. Read more and have your say here.
Best TV Drama Series: “The Handmaid’s Tale”
Noah Arlington: Can we just skip the TV awards?
Best TV Drama Actor: Sterling K. Brown, “This is Us”
Teridax: I had Sterling in 3rd. Emmy sheep or not, this still looks very bizarre to me. At least he was a deserving winner.
Pj Edwards: I’m already tired of Sterling K Brown.
