It’s a Reba reunion as long-time friends and former co-stars Melissa Peterman and Reba McEntire will star together in the latter’s upcoming untitled NBC comedy pilot. Peterman and McEntire previously co-starred in the Queen of Country’s self-titled sitcom, which aired from 2001 to 2007 on The WB (and later The CW). The pair also host the Living & Learning With Reba McEntire podcast together. The upcoming multi-cam comedy centers around Bobbie (McEntire), who inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to find that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had. According to Deadline, Peterman will play Gabby, a bartender who has worked at the tavern for quite some time. She is a bit needy and dramatic and would have loved to be Bobbie’s sister. In addition to streaming originals like the Neighbours: A New Chapter reboot and the instant classic reality-scripted hybrid Jury Duty, Freevee has a boatload of shows for TV fans’ viewing pleasures. Here are four the best shows from the 2000s that are available to stream now on the platform. 1. Alias (2001-06) ABC/Everett Collection Jennifer Garner became a mega-star as globe-trotting spy Sydney Bristow in this action-packed ABC series that dazzled viewers as a butt-kicking breath of fresh air. The espionage drama launched with Sydney discovering she was working not for the Feds but for a sprawling crime syndicate. She becomes a double agent for the CIA as she fights to take down the bad guys. The jaw-dropping twists (her best friend was replaced with a doppelgänger!) and heart-stopping cliffhangers never ceased. 2. Desperate Housewives (2004-12) Danny Feld/Everett Collection Wisteria Lane may seem picture-perfect, but behind the curtains of its...

TV stars can’t always demand the kind of high-paying gigs entertainers receive for movies. This is even more true when it comes to child actors. However, in some cases, breakout stars are able to negotiate paydays that make their peers jealous. Cole and Dylan Sprouse, the titular stars of the Disney Channel sitcom The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, certainly qualify.
Cole and Dylan Sprouse starred on ‘The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’ from 2005 to 2008
On the show, the young actors — who broke through on TV’s Grace Under Fire and the 1999 film Big Daddy — play Zack and Cody Martin. The twin brothers live in a suite at Boston’s Tipton Hotel.
With the show primarily set within the hotel, Zack and Cody get into all manner of mischief with other kids, often with the twins going up against hotel manager Mr. Moseby (Phil Lewis). Cole and Dylan Sprouse,...

Today Miley Cyrus is entering a new decade as she celebrates her 30th birthday.
From teen star to pop icon, the last 16 years of the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s illustrious career wouldn’t have been the same without her performance on the beloved Disney channel series “Hannah Montana”, which ran from 2006 to 2011, along with its related soundtrack albums.
Cyrus was just 13 years old when the first episode debuted on March 24, 2006. Her iconic role as Miley Stewart, the girl from Malibu who lives a double life, transforming herself into the famous pop singer Hannah Montana at night, quickly catapulted the young actress into stardom. The character’s secret identity kept fans intrigued and propelled the popular sitcom into four memorable seasons, just shy of 100 episodes. Cyrus even described her blonde alter ego as a “rocket that flew me to the moon and never brought me back down,” when she paid tribute...

Modern Family returned for Season Five last week, and in Episode Three (airing Wednesday night), the family says goodbye to a beloved (if imaginary) family member, and welcome back a fan favorite.
Here’s the synopsis for “Larry’s Wife:”
Phil seems to have found his wheelhouse in real estate – recently divorced women – but it’s taking up a lot of his time. Meanwhile, Luke invites his buddies over for a high-stakes poker game in the basement; Gloria think baby Joe might be cursed; and Cam holds an elaborate pet funeral for Larry the cat’s made-up wife — all for Lily‘s sake
And everything is better with a little Dylan

ABC‘s Mistresses aims for UK gold, but we all know the dangers involved with the “Americanization” of British television. For every The Office, there are four or five Couplings. There’s even a show (Episodes) based on the often misguided, or downright ludicrous, decisions involved in trying to take something that works for British audiences, and turn them into something that appeals to those across the pond. Sometimes the theory is to tweak the way things work, sprinkle in notes of American culture, and hopefully deliver the spirit of things. Once in a while, as with the horrible failure that was the American Coupling (based on one of the best shows ever, by the way), the idea is to try to keep the show intact as much as possible, all the way down to only the most minor of changes to the script. Both theories have their hits and misses.

Lots of change for Grey’s Anatomy fans heading into season 9 of the ABC medical drama, due to some dire occurrences of last season, a ton of new faces, and cast members not returning. Perhaps with that in mind, ABC has offered up a look that grounds the base and gives warm fuzzies. In fact, according to what she said to TVline, Grey’s Anatomy boss Shonda Rhimes expects the romance element at Seattle Grace Mercy West to be beefed up for season 9.

ABC‘s slate of new shows for fall has a strange flavor to it, and it’s going to be a bumpy ride. The network has about as many new shows as returning ones (if you count all the midseasons), and a good percentage of the returning offerings are a year old or less, making this look a bit like a rebuilding year.
Not only is it a rebuilding year, but it’s the year of bringing back every actor and actress who ever had a decent run on a show before. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a network’s new season slate that was so crammed with people returning from something else. If you can’t make it good, I suppose, make sure viewers recognize the faces.
It’s tricky to get a solid feel...

Chicago – TNT’s “Men of a Certain Age,” returning this week to finish out its second season with six episodes that the producers promise will be backed with character-driven drama, has quietly grown not just a loyal following but a reasonably strong critical foundation as well. With an Emmy nomination for its first season likely to be followed by another one this year, Andre Braugher, Scott Bakula, and Ray Romano continue to anchor their tales of the modern male mid-life crisis in believable, well-written drama. After initially writing off the show in its series premiere, my tune has definitely changed. This is worth your time.

Coming to you tonight, Matthew Perry returns to television in Mr. Sunshine. He's the general manager of the Sunshine Center, an arena that hosts a variety of sports events, the circus, political rallies, and who knows what else, and he's responsible for making everything run smoothly. That requires a special kind of chaotic dance, and Ben Donovan (Perry), well... he muddles through, generally without causing more damage than he's trying to prevent.
It would be a tricky enough job just with the maintenance issues, employee relations, and missing elephants, but he also has to deal with his unpredictable boss, Crystal (Allison Janney). Part of the trouble there is that she has thrown her son Roman (Nate Torrence) at him, and demanded that Ben find him a job somewhere among the arena's countless staffing opportunities. Obviously, Roman has no skills whatever, beyond a certain knack for looking rather goofy. That and...

***Spoiler Alert*** This post discusses some minor plot points for this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy.
We don't usually have much to cover on ABC's medical sudser Grey's Anatomy (well, at least not since Isaiah Washington, um, left) but I'm happy to say this week's episode "Start Me Up" not only has a gay storyline, but it also features out actor Wilson Cruz.
In a kilt. Fortunately, Wilson has the legs to pull it off.
So what bring Wilson to Seattle Grace Hospital? Turns out he's getting married. Well, commitment ceremonied since Washington State doesn't yet have full marriage equality. Which sucks as Wilson's character eloquently explains.
Naturally, something goes tragically wrong with the ceremony. Involving horseback riding. Don't ask me. We'll just have to watch.
Here is a clip.

Chicago – It has yet to approach the writing standards of the best television on the air right now but the stars of “Men of a Certain Age” continue to make it one of the more interesting programs on cable. Looks like the writers of "Brothers & Sisters" found a nifty way to get rid of Robert, played by Rob Lowe.
After Sunday (May 16) night's finale, we're pretty sure that was a death scene for Rob, after that bad pileup that also left Saul and Holly in bad shape.
Holly didn't say much. She just bled. And that's never a good sign. But after a bloodied Saul shouted "Don't touch me!" to Kevin, it's pretty clear that the old guy tested positive for HIV. So there's another whole story line to explore next season. So he'll be back. But what about Holly?
Can anyone blame Rob for wanting to leave all the drama behind and head to NBC's comedy "Parks and Recreation"?
After years of political drama on "West Wing" and family problems on "Br&S," he probably just needs a break.
Are you looking forward to seeing the funny side of Rob?...

This season's big mystery on "Desperate Housewives" has led us to Patrick (played by "Torchwood's" John Barrowman), who is now holding Angie (Drea de Matteo) and Danny (Beau Mirchoff) hostage in their own home. Meanwhile, he's forcing Angie to build a bomb for him.
Angie was able to slip a note to her unlikely best friend on The Lane, Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker). In the Sunday (May 16) finale, it's up to Gaby to save them.
Zap2it talked to Executive Producer Bob Daily about the resolution of this season's mystery, what it was like working with Barrowman and who will die in the finale.
Note: Spoiler alert!
Gaby is the only one who can help Angie now. What kind of heroics can we expect from her?
Gaby will definitely be throwing herself in front of a bus in this episode. She will definitely be putting herself in the middle...

Castle's Stana Katic likens the romantic tension between her character, Kate Beckett, and Castle (Nathan Fillion) to a dance. And in Monday's episode (10/9c, ABC) Beckett's going to switch dancing partners.
Will Castle's explosive cliff-hanger create sparks for Castle and Beckett?
When Beckett's team catches the case of a murdered thief, they look to robbery division Detective Tom Demming (Battlestar Galactica's Michael Trucco) for help with the case. And he steals Beckett's heart.
"It's really wonderful to have the opportunity to show a more sensual, romantic side to Beckett," Katic tells TVGuide.com. "I think it's great having someone like Tom Demming who is genuinely interested in Kate and is formidable enough to become a bit of a competitor for Castle."
However, Katic says Castle's response is more than petty jealousy...

Castle (Nathan Fillion) watched an explosion destroy Detective Beckett's apartment in last week's Castle cliff-hanger, but could that disaster further kindle the flames between Castle and his crime-fighting muse?
Castle: Can Beckett survive a serial killer and an FBI nemesis?
That's assuming, creator and executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe coyly tells TVGuide.com, that Beckett (Stana Katic) is still alive. Marlowe hints that the conclusion to the two-part event puts Special Agent Jordan Shaw (guest star Dana Delany) in her own share of trouble.
"Everyone has to redouble their efforts in order to make sure everyone stays alive," Marlowe says. "The case certainly does take a turn, and there are complications. Jordan Shaw is in the thick of it and by virtue of redoubling her effort to go after the serial killer, she becomes a target herself."
As for Beckett.

It was a shock to fans when "Desperate Housewives" killed Richard Burgi's Karl Mayer. Susan's ex and the man who reignited Bree's sexual fire died in this season's disastrous plane crash on Wisteria Lane.
When Zap2it posted Teri Hatcher's response to Karl's death and Korbi TV's talk with Marcia Cross about Bree's unexpressed feelings, our readers commented in droves.
So when we spoke to executive producer Bob Daily, we had to find out why they killed Karl and the path his death has set Bree on.
Warning: Spoilers!

That was a very difficult position, because we loved Richard Burgi. Everybody in the show from the writers down to the Kraft services people loved Richard Burgi. He was just a favorite of everybody,...

The last episode of "Desperate Housewives" has definitely caused some ripples at Wysteria Lane. Viewers tuned in to see who was killed or injured after a plane crash landed right in the middle of the holiday block party.
In the end, Lynette lost one of her twin babies, Angie lost her blackmailer, and we all lost a character that we've gotten to know intimately over the years: Karl (played by Richard Burgi).
"I still really can't believe it," Teri Hatcher tells ABC News. "We had so many years of great, great funny moments off-camera, on-camera. I'm really going to miss him."
That's a stark contrast to Hatcher's character Susan's response. After hearing about his death and imagining herself fat and unhappy if she had stayed with Karl, Susan said she simply felt grateful. That may have stung for some fans, who had grown attached to the man who took on several roles: philanderer,...

Grey's Anatomy fans -- particularly those who love the relationship between Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) as much as I do -- got a little queasy last week with the arrival of Kim Raver's Dr. Teddy Altman. While, of course, we watch the show for the drama, it's hard not to feel protective of a couple that's overcome so much -- his post-traumatic stress disorder from serving in combat, her general prickliness. Chicago – TNT on Tuesday launched executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s no-holes-barred cop drama, “Dark Blue”. Like Bruckheimer’s successful predecessors in its genre (“C.S.I: Miami”, “C.S.I. New York”, “Cold Case”, and “Without a Trace”), “Dark Blue” provides captivating crime scenarios, an easy-on-the-eyes cast (including Dylan McDermott of “The Practice”), and just enough suspense to keep engaged.
Television Rating: 3.0/5.0 Unlike “C.S.I.: Miami”, “Dark Blue” achieves both subtle and speedy depth in its characters. McDermott’s “Lt. Carter Shaw”, with his “just-rolled-out-of-a-bed-of-nails” demeanor, creates far more intrigue than one-dimensional David Caruso‘s “stand-firm, wince-in-thought, turn-sideways, wince-in-thought-again,” dance as “Horatio Caine”.
Dylan McDermott stars in TNT’s drama series “Dark Blue”.

The series opens with a charge as an undercover FBI agent, at the hands of a criminal team and undercover cop Dean Bendis (Logan Marshall-Green of TV’s “The O.C”), is electrocuted within inches of his life.

Chicago – I’m a huge Stephen Bochco fan and like most of the cast of TNT’s “Raising the Bar,” returning tonight to start season two and recently released on DVD in a first season set. But I can’t handle the tone changes, two-dimensional characters, and complete lack of judicial realism on this show, one that has promise on paper but has never worked in episode form.
Television Rating: 2.0/5.0 I’ve always had a problem with shows that feel like they intentionally set out to “make a difference”. Good television starts with characters first and difference-making messages come from them. You can’t write theme. Write plot and let theme come organically from the plot. “Raising the Bar” is All theme and all message.

Matthew Rhys, Luke MacFarlane, Ron Rifkin, and John Glover (ABC/Danny Feld)
Whoever is taking care of ABC's gay-inclusion juggernaut Brothers & Sisters apparently didn't listen carefully to the rules, because someone is clearly getting the gays wet and causing them to multiply, gremlin-like, on a regular basis. (Note to showrunners: Please don't feed Saul after midnight ... you'll be sorry!)
We were thrilled to learn a while back that out actor John Glover would be arriving on the show to play newly-out uncle Saul's love interest (on the February 8 ep, titled "Owning It"), and now the photos are here to prove it.
Thank heaven that Saul has made it clear that he and his fella have been dating a while already, because hanging out with the Walkers at a child's birthday party would be just about the worst icebreaker I've seen since I took a first date to see Breaking the Waves.
