Forbes minced no words, describing the current tax code as nothing short of “a disgrace” and asserting that urgent action is needed to simplify and make it […]

The presidents of CBS News, NBC News and ABC News broadly defended their coverage of President Trump’s tweets on Thursday during a joint panel discussion at the Financial Times Future of News conference in New York City on Thursday.
“Something may seem irrelevant in a Trump tweet, but it does get into what he’s thinking, what might happen,” CBS News chief Susan Zirinsky said on stage. “We make judgements based on editorial value, but I think the tweets are important. They are the voice of the president.”
“Some of the tweets … do provide insight into the president’s thinking,” NBC News president Noah Oppenheim added, while noting they can often be “precursors to policy announcement that have a real substantive impact.”

Steve Forbes shared some thoughts about the reports that former adult film actress Stormy Daniels used a copy of Forbes magazine to spank Donald Trump during a year-long sexual relationship she said began in 2006. “The magazine has many multiple purposes,” Forbes told TheWrap on Thursday. “It’s an unusual way to get investment advice.” Daniels, a one-time U.S. Senate prospect in Louisiana, made headlines after the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump lawyer Michael Cohen paid her $130,000 in October 2016 to keep quiet about the alleged sexual encounter. Daniels, who previously denied claims of an extramarital affair with Trump, offers lurid details...

When Saturday Night Live kicks off its 42nd season this Saturday night, fans will be tuning in to see how the episode's host – Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie – fares in her first not-ready-for-primetime appearance. They'll be curious to see what the three new cast members (Mikey Day, Alex Moffat and Melissa Villaseñor) will bring to the table, and what sort of gap the dismissal of Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah may have left on the show as a whole.

Last year, Chelsea Handler grumpily finished out her contract at E! and decided to make Netflix her new home. “I could have gotten paid $10 million a year for the next five years,” she said at the Forbes Women’s Summit on Wednesday. "I thought, This show isn't as smart as me. I want to do a show that's smarter than me." That show would be four “docu-comedy” specials, where Handler would do deep dives into specific milieus. She told Steve Forbes what topics they would be: “Chelsea Does Racism,” “Chelsea Does Silicon Valley,” “Chelsea Does Marriage,” and “Chelsea Does Ayahuasca” (a psychoactive drink made from a South American vine), because obviously, it wouldn’t be a Chelsea Handler special if she weren’t on something.Handler and her team just got back from filming in Alabama for “Chelsea Does Racism,” where she told a story of one man who thought...

If you're not familiar with Mets Bucket Hat Guy, the recurring "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" character played by writer Mike Dicenzo, all you really need to know is that he's a pro when it comes to word association. He has a way of seamlessly connecting the dots that never fails to impress.
While his "Fallon" bits are some of our favorites, we were really blown away when we saw Mets Bucket Hat Guy take on The "Forbes" Celebrity 100 list in this epic, five minute, seven second name association.
In one uninterrupted spell, Mbhg goes through every single person on the list in order, connecting them with some brilliant (and some totally random) segues. Even CEO/Editor-In-Chief Steve Forbes joins in at the end -- and we haven't seen him flex his comedic muscles like this since he hosted "Saturday Night Live" back in 1996.

During a media conference call Tuesday, "Saturday Night Live" executive producer Lorne Michaels said there is a chance that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney may appear on the show this fall, after Michaels was asked by The Huffington Post whether the show has been in communication with Romney's campaign.
"We talked six to eight weeks ago and at the time there was some interest," Michaels said, confirming earlier reports that he was courting the former Massachusetts governor. Michaels said he has not had any new communication with Romney since he has become the presumptive choice for the Gop nomination, so chances of him appearing this season are slim.
"There are only three shows left [this season] and it's pretty jam-packed," Michaels said. "Maybe in the fall, but that depends on his availability."

Now that Mitt Romney's general election campaign is breathing air, will he soon be "live, from New York"? The Republican presidential candidate has been asked to host "Saturday Night Live," according to Maureen Dowd's New York Times column, published Saturday evening.
Lorne Michaels, the show’s executive producer, has offered a guest spot to Romney, who is considering it.
If recent seasons of "SNL" are any indication, the current season, the show's 37th, will see three more episodes. None of the remaining guest hosts have been formally announced, as of Saturday evening. If Romney does not host this season, he would not host until the next season's premiere in September, which is only about a month before the 2012 election.
The last time a figure in the world of politics hosted was Donald Trump's episode in 2004. That same season, Al Sharpton performed a guest hosting stint. But the...

Who says there's no room for both Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann in the 2012 presidential race-men? Michelle Cottle on why it is important for women to run and why we shouldn't dismiss a potential matchup between the two Gop pols as a catfight.

Sure, I grasp the political calculus that says there's not room for both Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann in the Republican primary: As two bomb-throwing, tea-partying, socially conservative, screw-the-establishment mama grizzlies, these Gop soul sisters would be battling over a very similar slice of the base.
Likewise, I sympathize with the angsty grumbling I've heard among those who fear that two such colorful women out there frenetically chumming the waters could reflect poorly on the gender. With so few gals having braved this particular arena,...

This one looks interesting. Check out the trailer for Freestyle Releasing's "I Want Your Money." Ray Griggs' documentary opens on October 15th and is set against the backdrop of America’s growing disproval of current economic policies. The film takes a provocative look at our nation’s deeply depressed economy using the words and actions of Presidents Reagan and Obama. The film exposes the shocking reality of a bloated government while offering alternatives to help steer the United States back towards firm fiscal ground. By utilizing interviews with key leaders of America’s conservative movement – Newt Gingrich, Steve Forbes, Mike Huckabee – movie clips, dramatic portrayals, music, graphics and even comedic animation, I Want Your Money tells the story in the plainest terms of the choice between ‘Reganomics’ and ‘Obamanomics’.
