Acted in a Pall Mall cigarette commercial in the mid-1960s, delivering the line, "I'm particular - and you bet I prefer Pall Mall."
Wrote a number of plays, including "Lunchtime" which won the Waldo Bellow Memorial Award, "Momma Look at Bang Bang", "Philadelphia Ladies", and "A Cancer in the Wilderness". His one-act play "The Corner" was adapted for CBS's "Repertory Workshop".
