- Fritz Genschow was born on May 15, 1905 in Berlin, Germany. He was an actor and director, known for Rumpelstilzchen (1960), Cinderella (1955) and Sleeping Beauty (1955). He was married to Rita-Maria Nowotny and Renée Stobrawa. He died on June 21, 1977 in Berlin, Germany.

- Father of actress Marina Genschow (1950-2000) and writer and producer Gabriel Genschow (1952-2007).
- German stage and screen actor, director and producer. Performed theatrically from 1924, chiefly in Berlin where he went on to establish the Kinder-Theater in 1930. Regularly in films from the late 20's, he was usually seen in secondary roles as soldiers, sea captains, forest rangers or police officers. After World War II, he became a celebrated broadcaster of children's radio with RIAS in Berlin.
