ABC is set in their decision to move ahead with a season of The Golden Bachelorette after the success of Gerry Turner’s The Golden Bachelor season. The network announced they would be moving forward with the series in February, but they have yet to announce who will star as the first-ever golden bachelorette. Several names have been thrown into the ring, including a couple of celebrities and a handful of contestants from Turner’s season.
Fans of the series have tossed around Kathie Lee Gifford’s name while discussing potential golden bachelorettes. Gifford insists she hasn’t been approached about the series but has discussed it with her family. She recently revealed that her children are divided regarding her potentially appearing on the dating show. ‘

The book follows two real life abolitionists who fought one of the most shockingly persistent evils of the world: human trafficking and sexual exploitation of slaves. Uncanny! People can't believe how much Kathie Lee Gifford's son, Cody Gifford, 28, looks like her late husband, Frank Gifford, in new photos. The buzz first started earlier this week when Klg posed with Cody and her 25-year-old daughter, Cassidy Gifford, at a Hallmark Channel party in Beverly Hills, CA. "Best time with Cody and Cassidy @HallmarkChannel," Kathie Lee, 64, later captioned an Instagram pic of the trio. Not only did Klg's fans immedately start gushing about Cody's grown up and very handsome appearance, but they also pointed out how much the Gifford kids look like their parents. "Cassidy looks like you," one fan commented on the image. "And Cody is the image of Frank. Beautiful family." (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Then, on Wednesday, Aug. 1, the Today show's Instagram account posted a side-by-side photo of the father-son duo and asked fans if they think Cody and his late dad look alike.

However, despite his physical absence, the Today host says she can always feel his presence, and for that reason, the family—including her two children, Cassidy Gifford Cody Gifford—has continued to celebrate just as they did when he was alive. "We just do the same old thing and just lift up many toasts to him," she told E! News at the Bella New York Holiday Issue Cover Party Tuesday night. She continued, "We know he's with us. We know where he is, and we know who he's with, and we know we're...

Rather, the host was even more emotional over her late husband, Frank Gifford's, induction alongside her. "I have to thank my incredible husband, who taught me so much, who was the most generous person I ever met," Kathie said while accepting the huge honor. "And he gave me the two greatest gifts that any human being could ever have and that's my children!" She continued, talking about son Cody Gifford and daughter Cassidy Gifford. "My children make me a better person every day. The hardest thing in the world to do is raise two people…who love...

Kathie Lee Gifford is understandably still in mourning. With the support of colleagues Hoda Kotb and Regis Philbin on NBC's Today Friday, Kathie Lee shared new details about Frank Gifford's passing at age 84 on Aug. 9."You know what I hadn't told people? He had just gotten the best medical report he'd had in eight years on Friday," the host revealed. "He was doing great." Regis agreed that Frank appeared to be healthy at a recent dinner. "When the Lord calls you home, you go home. What are you going to do, argue with the Lord?" said Kathie Lee, whose faith has only strengthened since his death. "I don't think so." Kathie Lee said she and son Cody Gifford,...

Still upset about Cody Gifford enjoying nepotism-related rewards as the Today Show's new film critic? How would you feel to find out that in between producing the Les Grossman film and auctioning off wine glasses that once touched Conan O'Brien's lips, Ben Stiller is working on another unconventional project that could make his parents the next Jon Stewart and... Mrs. Jon Stewart?...

Who gets to be a critic? These days, just about anybody with a working computer, it seems. Or, in the case of Cody Gifford, anyone whose mom has her own TV show. Legitimate, working critics are struggling to hold their places at publications around the country -- while the print journalism world continues in freefall, unable to figure out how to survive in the new century. The Internet has provided a haven for many -- and an outlet for many others who never were able to find an actual paying job at a print publication writing about film. And then there's cute little Cody Gifford, who is a film student in college and says that being young and ignorant is what qualifies him to be a critic: "As you get older, you get a little out of touch with contemporary films," he says....

If you can put the rampant nepotism of this project aside -- even Cody Gifford is shaking his head in disbelief -- here's a movie that sounds immediately intriguing. Academy Award nominee Jason Reitman has optioned Elliot Allagash, the debut novel from Simon Rich -- Frank Rich's Harvard educated, Saturday Night Live-writer, 1984-born son -- for his production company and might even wind up directing. Which he really should since Rich's novel -- about a high school nerd who gets help from the high school bad boy to become cool -- sounds like Mean Girls with boys or Fight Club set in Rushmore Academy. Early guesses on stars: Jaden Smith, Eva Amurri, Emma Roberts, Mamie Gummer. [THR]...

From the same network that brought you such hard-bitten, time tested journalists like Jenna Bush and Luke Russert, NBC has announced that Kathie Lee spawn Cody Gifford has joined the Today show as an "intern" who will "review" movies. Sure, he may not be legally old enough to buy a beer, but wee Master Gifford brings the dewy vibrancy of youth to table, unlike the oldsters out there who might be "a little out of touch with contemporary issues, films, and whatnot." You hear that, Old Man Ebert? You are far too old to appreciate the subtle, youthful intricacies of MacGruber!

Watch out, Gene Shalit. A guy who has been alive for about half as long as you've been reviewing movies on 'Today' may be gunning for your job. He's Cody Gifford, who's been offering brief on-air reviews of movies for about three consecutive Fridays now during the final hour of 'Today,' which, not coincidentally, is co-hosted by his mom, Kathie Lee Gifford.
Sure, Cody's young (he's 20) and doesn't sport extravagant facial hair like Shalit, but he is telegenic, converses easily with his mom and co-host Hoda Kotb and has more credentials than just a nepotistic connection to 'Today.' Why, he's a film student at USC, too, so he knows how to throw around word like "auteur." And he's also skilled at writing soundbite-sized movie reviews, judging from his Twitter feed, which makes him a lot pithier than the pun-prone Shalit.
