- Former salesman and production manager with Stoll Pictures, who co-founded Twickenham Studios and Real Art Productions in 1929 (along with Leslie Hiscott) as a means of turning out British 'quota quickies' (films written in a fortnight and filmed in a fortnight). Trying to produce more ambitious films, Hagen went bankrupt in 1937.
