Mumbai, Oct 26 (Ians) Actor Saurabh Shukla has impressed many with his comic skills, but he says that he never tries creating comedy with his characters.
"Humour is part of everyone's life. If you see my characters carefully, you will realise that they are very serious characters, be it in 'Mohabbatein', 'Raid', 'Pagalpanti' or 'Pk'. I don't try to create comedy with my characters. It is the interesting life that they go through which is fun and exciting," he said.
"I don't bring demarcation between serious and funny characters, as serious people have funny moments in their lives and vice-versa. I believe this is what immortalises the characters that I have been playing so far," he added.

It is as hard to pick the best performances of Naseeruddin Shah as it is to pick a cluster of stars from the sky as the “best”. What I can tell you is that if you’ve missed the 5 performances below then your existence as as movie lover is incomplete.
1. Sparsh (1979): Many have played blind. But none as the one who can see right through human hypocrisy. Naseer as the the self-respecting , self-sufficient visually impaired Annirudh Parmar is the best portrayal I’ve seen of a blind man in cinema from any part of the world in any language. This incredible performance has become a reference point for all actors playing blind. Stumbling over furniture to look blind went out of fashion after Naseer’s Sparsh.
2. Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Aata Hai (1979): I love watching Naseer do accents. Because he doesn’t “do” them . He embraces accents like long-lost brothers.

As the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections began on Thursday, the government hinged on Shah Rukh Khan's star power to exhort the electorate to exercise their franchise in the maximum numbers. The Press Information Bureau (Pib), the publicity arm of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, used stills from Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Mohabbatein to send out the message emphasizing the importance of voting in a democracy to build a better future.
The Pib posted on its Twitter handle a montage of three visuals from a scene featuring Shah Rukh, Uday Chopra, Jugal Hansraj and Jimmy Sheirgill along with the message, "Aaj election ka phela phase hai... Tumhara aaj ek ek vote se desh ka kal badlega...Go Vote (Today is the first phase of elections. Every vote counts and each vote could change the course of the Nation. Go vote)."
It added, "Ballot is a power, distributed equally among all Indians.

It’s just another ordinary humid laconic night in Chandanagar, a small dusty town on the outskirts of Kolkata where, as one grinning havaldar informs his senior, nothing ever happens.
Well, all that is about to change. Sujoy Ghosh’s small-town suspense thriller knocks the bottom of the thriller genre. Kahaani 2, no relation to the first film in the suspenseful series that Sujoy directed to ever-casting fame (it’s Vidya Balan all the way in this franchise) is not only a first-rate action drama with some of the most ingenious action (including one absolutely spellbinding fist-to-fist between the brave Balan and female khaki-clad assassin) it is also a haunting deeply disturbing mirror of our times when normalcy and decorum often hide grievous disturbances, best left untampered and unrevealed. Until someone dares to tell the truth.

As we have mentioned before, everything about the sequel to the suspense thriller Kahaani is being strictly guarded under wraps. But one announcement by actor Arjun Rampal on Twitter seems to have caught everyone's attention. Arjun Rampal took to the microblogging site to post a tweet that read, "All the best @sujoy_g and the whole team of Kahaani 2, look forward to joining you guys soon. Love an luck. #kahaani2" Obviously the actor though gave away that he will be a part of the second installment of this award winning suspense thriller, he however hasn't divulged any details about the role he will be playing. This will be the first time where we will see the handsome hunk Arjun Rampal and powerhouse performer Vidya Balan coming together on screen. Rumours also have it that while Nawazuddin Siddiqui who played Khan in the prequel will be missing, Jugal Hansraj will...

Respect film critics if you have invited them!
Kabir Khan created a brilliant climax scene for Bajrangi Bhaijaan. People from India and Pakistan converged on both sides in an attempt to set Pavan Kumar Chaturvedi free. Now, Pavan had completed a noble task of ensuring Munni was safe back with her parents and citizens from both countries were pushing for justice.
At Fun Republic in Versova, Andheri, in Mumbai, a similar scene was being enacted before the Press Show.
Apparently, there was a movie contest where winners were being given their free tickets. The film critics and assorted media was there too, on invitation. However, one had to push through the crowd to get to the front only to be told by the usher that we would have to enter with the tickets.
Fair enough!

'Mohabbatein' (2000)
Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai
Picasso had his Blue Period; Shahrukh Khan had his Sweater Phase. Khan trots them all out in 'Mohabbatein'—cable knits and fine ribs, turtlenecks and crewnecks and v-necks, in every color (although primarily white and pastels), often a second sweater flung over his shoulders. He wears a different sweater in nearly every scene and changes sweaters 10 times during the love song, "Humko Humise Chura Lo." The distinctly Western garment is perhaps as exotic in India, where such clothing is rarely needed, as saris are in the West. Sweaters suit Khan, who is not a big man and could use the heft. It became one of his iconic looks and touched off a fashion craze in India.

Film: ‘Pyaar Impossible’; Cast: Priyanka Chopra, Uday Chopra, Dino Morea; Director: Jugal Hansraj; Rating: **
Pair impossible? You bet! Uday Chopra as the geek in love and Priyanka Chopra as the unattainable self-declared 10-on-10 beauty is a bit of a long shot.
But in films about the romance of the impossible, anything is possible. In the first 15 minutes of the narrative, Uday gawks, sighs and grins goofily every time Priyanka passes by on the college campus. She’s so hot she could scald the film’s frames if only the basic treatment was not so ‘thanda’.
We see Priyanka on.

If rumours are to be believed, our very own PC has been paid a whopping 6 crores for her upcoming film with Uday Chopra, Pyaar Impossible. And if this piece of juicy news happens to be true, then PC is the reigning queen in Bollywood – at least, in terms of remuneration. She’s said to have left behind Aishwarya who’s believed to have been paid 5 crores for the Rajnikanth starrer Entiraman.
According to an inside source, the reason behind such a fat fee for PC is the fact that Jugal Hansraj has no credibility as a director, and that Uday Chopra isn’t exactly hot at the Bo these days.
