Coming up on July 6th is the love story of Sultan and Aarfa, aka Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in the highly antipated film Sultan.
One of our favorite songs on the Vishal-Shekhar composed Ost was Neha Bhasin’s pared down version of Jag Ghoomeya. “Neha Basin is everything that is good. This version is pared down with more of a sharp percussive layer that somehow is also soft that is the background for her exceptional performance. She is the music! You feel every line as she sings full of longing and heart filled emotion.” We could not wait to see what would be happening on screen and now you can check it out!
Enjoy!

There is nary a film genre more tried and true than the war-time romance. From Casablanca to Doctor Zhivago to The English Patient, the structure allows for a micro conflict injected into a macro scenario. From a script by Christopher Hampton (Dangerous Liasons, Atonement), adapted from the novel under the pseudonym Kurban Said, and directed by Asif Kapadia (Senna, Amy), Ali and Nino strives for the status of epic but falls considerably short.
Starring Adam Bakri as Ali Khan Shirvanshir, a young Muslim Azerbaijani man who falls in love with Nino Kipiani (María Valverde), a Georgian princess, the film is set in and around Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan on the brink of the Bolshevik Revolution. The couple hopes to marry quickly, but the rumblings of war postpone everything. Nino’s parents (Mandy Patinkin and a woefully-miscast Connie Nielsen) are convinced the conflict will be over in months. Ali won’t have it,...

After he undergoes a full physical transformation to play the real-life wrestling champion Sultan Ali Khan in director Ali Abbas Zafar's Sultan, Salman Khan will start work on his Haryanvi dialect. This is the first time Salman will be doing an accent and dialect, and he wants to get it absolutely right. Says a source close to the project, "A full-time Haryanvi coach has been employed for Salman. They interviewed close to 25 Haryanvi tutors for the job until Salman approved of a particular guy. This guy will be on the job all through the day and will accompany Salman Khan through his various shooting schedules and media events. Salman will be learning and practicing his Haryanvi dialect diction and accent whenever and wherever he gets time." The language training begins after Salman Khan completes his physical training. About the physical training a source informs, "Salman will be seen cultivating three body-types in Sultan.

When you have Salman Khan in your film, it is pretty much the need of the hour to give him a larger than life introduction. Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, who has so far worked with relative newcomers like Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor (Gunday), as well as Imran Khan and Ali Zafar (Mere Brother Ki Dulhan) realized that for sure. No wonder, when it came to announcing his next directorial outing Sultan with Salman Khan, he took things in his own hand. Or shall we put it this way, his own voice! He went ahead and not just designed the commentary that went along with the teaser of Sultan; he even got behind the mike and spoke all the lines himself. So right from the moment he presents him as the King of Haryana with the line "Haryane Ki Shaan, Haryane Ka Sher, Haryane Ki Jaan - Sultan Ali Khan...

She is no doubt one of the hottest women in Bollywood today. Subsequent to Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Katrina Kaif’s next release is the much talked about Dhoom 3, where she will be pairing up for the first time opposite Aamir Khan. This makes Katrina one of the lucky few to have worked with the Khans (the other two obviously being Shah Rukh and Salman). In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Katrina spoke about her role as an acrobat in the much anticipated sequel and the intense physical training she had to go through. “Most of my stunts are with straps and hoops suspended form a height and with coordinated choreography. It’s like a dance in the air. To do these, one needs strong shoulders and upper-body strength which, for a girl, is not the most natural thing.”

Moribund industry makes song and dance about violent thriller billed as most anticipated movie in country's history
It claims to not only be the most anticipated film in the history of Pakistan, but to be based on true events. And, for once, the Hollywood-style hyperbole can be excused. The feature-length action thriller called Waar ("to strike" in Urdu) is eagerly awaited, despite being out of tune with the trend for movies packed with singing and dancing.
Waar is coming to cinemas in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and even the restive frontier city of Peshawar later this year. The trailer was viewed more than 500,000 times in the first month when posted on YouTube in January, entering the website's top five videos.
Inspired by real events such as a Muslim extremist assault on a Pakistani police academy in 2009, the film follows a team of anti-terrorist police officers who, with time running out, try to stop a new attack.
