“It’s funny how the colors of the real world only seem really real when you viddy them on the screen.”
I had heard about A Clockwork Orange long before I ever saw it. I was maybe 13 or 14 the first time my mother mentioned it to me. She told me about seeing it in the theatre at a young age; her older cousin being later scolded for having taken her. At 15, she had no idea what to make of the “ultraviolence” she had been exposed to. Knowing my mother rarely talked about movies from her childhood, you could say my interest was piqued. She didn’t go into many details, but I wondered how different it could possibly be from some of the violent films I had already seen. At this point, I thought Predator and Commando were the be-all and end-all of onscreen debauchery. I also thought I was ready for anything.

If you thought Beyonce’s ‘Drunk In Love’ was racy, just wait until you hear what happened when Kanye West got his hands on it! Listen below!
Kanye West has an interesting way of expressing his love on Valentine’s Day. The rapper released a remix of Beyonce‘s “Drunk In Love” on Feb. 14, and the verse he added to the song is an ode to his fiance and the mother of his child, Kim Kardashian – but it’s definitely much more raunchy than romantic.

And Kanye certainly doesn’t waste any time getting down and dirty; his first line: “You will never need another lover/Cause you a Milf and I’m a motherf***er.” Tell us how you really feel, Yeezus!

Kim Kardashian is plenty busy planning her dream wedding to Kanye West, but what do they have planned for after the big day? but Kanye is reportedly demanding that their daughter North West not be allowed on their honeymoon with them. Will Kim comply with her future husband’s request?
When you start planning your honeymoon, what are some things that come to mind? Maybe you’d like to take a romantic stroll on the beach with your new spouse, or maybe you you’re more into a date night that includes a candle lit dinner and some champagne. Kim Kardashian, 33, is reportedly hoping to return to Venice, Italy where she and her future husband Kanye West, 36, conceived their daughter, 7-month-old North West. How sweet!
Unfortunately for North, Kanye definitely doesn’t like the idea of having a baby around — even if she is his own flesh and blood!

There is a shocking trend sweeping Hollywood as of late! More and more celebrities are ditching the underwear and going au naturale (we believe the layman’s term is “commando?”). Keep to reading to see the ten leading ladies who wore (or rather didn’t wear) the trend best.
When Gwyneth Paltrow hit the Iron Man 3 red carpet in a no underwear required, sheer-paneled dress on April 24 we thought to ourselves, “Gee, haven’t a couple other celebrities gone commando recently too?” It turns out a couple was actually a Ton. Stepping out sans underwear is as popular as peplum these days!
Jennifer Lopez & More: No Underwear On The Red Carpet
Some of Hollywood’s finest, like the aforementioned Gwyneth, have joined the trend in the most glamorous way possible — on the red carpet. Actresses like Jennifer Lopez and Kate Hudson have gone down the sheer-paneling road in totally fabulous dresses.

The upside of being a reality star is that it's possible to monetize every move you make, no matter how mundane or common it may be, especially if you're a Kardashian. The downside is that it means that every move you make is also fodder for intense public speculation, especially if you're a Kardashian. That family has televised and cashed in on so many aspects of their lives that it's now hard to tell just what their aim -- and sincerity level -- is following the news that Kim is divorcing Kris Humphries, but as the symbols of a new evolution (devolution?) in entertainment, it's certainly worth speculating about.
Following a day of "insiders" insisting to various news outlets that Kim is indeed upset about her divorce, and that her marriage was in no way a shame, Kim took to her blog to explain herself and express authenticity. Having let that marinate overnight,...

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries raced down the aisle after only knowing each other for six months. To some this meant it was true love but Dr. Lilian Glass thinks it was way too soon! HollywoodLife.com had the Beverly Hills based and world-renowned body language expert look at pictures of Kim and Kris from Duane McLaughlin‘s Ready To Live album release party from Sept. 10 and she doesn’t have good news for the newlyweds.
“Kris is not used to the fame. It’s a very awkward photo,” Dr. Glass says. “Kris is hunched over and Kim’s awkward too. They are very tentative with each other. Kim’s hands are cupped which means she’s not comfortable and she’s holding back. Kris has got a half smile,...

As 2010 draws to a close, we celebrate the year's 10 most underrated performances...
As we head into awards season, the likes of Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter are hotly tipped to pick up nominations at the very least, if not actual gongs for their acting in The King's Speech. Christian Bale made a big old physical transformation for The Fighter, as did Natalie Portman for Black Swan. But those two films won't come out until 2011 in the UK, and nor will The King's Speech.
The tendency is to award stuff that comes out at the very end of the year, and so a lot of good performances earlier in the movie calendar are forgotten. Most of these actors didn't undergo gruelling physical transformations or star in the kind of film that Oscar likes to reward. They were just good. Maybe not Oscar good, but they were undervalued, either in reviews...

Our film critic makes the nominations for his own personal Oscars in a widely underrated year for film
December is the season of list-making and Top 10 compiling, but when I mention this to other critics, it's been getting winces and shrugs and mutterings that 2010 hasn't been a vintage year. I'm not so sure about that. It's true that the huge arthouse hits like The White Ribbon and A Prophet are now a very distant memory — A Prophet in fact was released at the very beginning of this year, but has been so extensively discussed, that I don't mention it below. Some huge crowd-pleasers, like Danny Boyle's 127 Hours, Tom Hooper's The King's Speech and Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, haven't yet had a full release and neither has Kelly Reichardt's western, Meek's Cutoff. These things may combine to produce the impression that 2010 is in itself a thin year.

I had low expectations for the CBS remake of the venerable 1970s' cop show, "Hawaii Five-o," and I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun the remake is. Granted, I have no allegiances to the original show; my knowledge doesn't extend much past the theme song or the "Book 'em Danno," phrase that's poorly shoehorned into the pilot. But the remake is entertainingly diverting, though unsurprisingly empty, the sort of show that makes for excellent background television watching during rerun season.
The pilot starts off strong, building a modest backstory for Steve McGarett (Alex O'Laughlin), whose father is violently murdered, and any show that can kill off the brilliant character actor William Sadler in the first five minutes deserves at least some attention. His murderer, too, is played with Marsterian flair by James Marsters of "Buffy," fame, and it would've been nice if he'd had a longer arc. But this is CBS,...

Luckily, Kim “Kim G” Granatell, Danny the Goon, and none of Danielle’s Mob Squad were there to break it up.
People Online has released photos from the taping, which has had the blogosphere and Rhonj fans itching to see the finished product by it’s August 30th air date. One photo shows Caroline Manzo, the show’s official matriarch, and Bravo’s Andy Cohen holding Teresa back from attacking Danielle, while another photo depicts a shouting match between the dueling divas as a hapless Cohen watches in bewildered concern.

Before there was Will and Jack on Will & Grace or David and Keith on Six Feet Under or pretty much everyone on Queer as Folk, there was Buddy on Kids in the Hall. And before Neil Patrick Harris or T.R. Knight or Lance Bass came out, there was actor/comedian Scott Thompson who not only played Buddy on Kids in the Hall, but also played gay assistant Brian on The Larry Sanders Show, and who was out personally and professionally long before it was easy to do so.
Scott Thompson
But then Thompson has never done much that was easy. He came out in the 80s during the height of the AIDS epidemic. He did stand-up comedy in an era where homophobia wasn’t just rampant, it was expected and particularly vicious. Then there is the matter of his latest project, Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town, a...

Let’s all take a moment to applaud Kim G. Last night the blond “elderly woman” gave what we hope was her ultimate reality show audition, as she cursed out Danielle “Franken-tit” Staub — over what, I’m not quite sure. How’d she do? For all of the promos, this didn’t reach hair pull or table flip status, but it was a good old-fashioned screaming match nonetheless, albeit really one-sided. How does Danielle manage to make the others around look crazier than she is?
Before we were treated to a midday screaming match, apologies to the diners at Portabello,...

Unlike last season’s table flip finale, we fortunately have a few episodes left of The Real Housewives of New Jersey to help deal with last week’s country club brawl (which means hours of watching the ladies rehash the events leading up to the Hair Pull Heard Round the World). Danielle wanted Ashley arrested for assault, to which she responded, “Whatever.” If only she had been born in a different decade, she could have been Amber from Clueless’ evil sidekick. Everyone was shaken up after the fight, and the uncertainty over what would happened to Jacqueline’s 19-year-old daughter...

Four points as we begin this brief Real Housewives of New Jersey review:
Watching these women, one in particular, in HD is a truly harrowing experience. After last week's high drama, the predictable letdown last night was inevitable. How much do you want to get in the ring and duke it out with Danielle Staub? The Rhonj episode titles rule.
Our gossip site breaks down last night's The Real Housewives of New Jersey drama in further detail, but the four points above tell you all you need to know. The gist of last night:
Joe Giudice takes three of his daughters to a karate center to learn the basics, while Danielle and her two daughters are learning self-defense techniques of their own. Fight! Fight!
Danielle and her protruding cheekbones get a workout.
Naturally, this being Danielle Staub, she thinks it's essential due to the constant physical threat she finds herself under.

After we learned that Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe had filed for bankruptcy, thinking about her lavish housewarming party a few episodes ago makes me sad. What makes me even sadder? Last night it was apparent that Teresa did know the extent of her family’s debt, solely from her reaction to a single word: Foreclosure.
Of course this word was uttered by Danielle Staub, which adds to the already tense subject (Did you notice Joe’s complete avoidance of the question? Is this Lynne and Frank all over again?). Teresa got extremely defensive when her finances were put...

Danielle underwent her own “renewal” process on last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, echoing her sister from across the river, Ramona. But this “new” Danielle was not the result of extensive psychotherapy, a lengthy stay in an ashram, or even a new-found career, but rather from going under the knife for her fourth breast augmentation. In her defense, her implants have caused a staph infection and generally feel hard and cold every moment of every day. (Gross). After a taking a few photos of her chest (which Danielle seemed all too eager to pose for,...

Caroline Manzo can be considered the De facto matriarch of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey." This season, she has a done a good job of keeping her hands clean of Danielle Staub drama.
We can't say the same for her sister, Dina Manzo, who ended up leaving the show after a very heated argument with Danielle - one Caroline warned her not to go on.
"The insanity of it all," Caroline tells Zap2it. "I don't know what to say. I would have preferred that she didn't do it. Nothing good could have come out of it, well, with the exception of great TV I suppose."
We chatted with Caroline about some of the misconceptions about her family and their business, and how she kept her cool when her son crossed with the likes of Danielle and Kim G.
Why do people connect your family with the mafia?
That's the million-dollar question.

Good grief, why won’t these Housewives leave me alone? They’re always after me, turning on my television set. They won’t stop bothering me and they never give me a moment of rest so I can try to better educate myself by reading a book or watching a smart person show like Breaking Bad. You know what Housewives? I have a life. No, I have a great life! So just back off Housewives, stop obsessing over me, stop writing 2000 words a week about me, stop watching weekend marathons of me.

In the wake of Danielle's ridiculous behavior at the event at the Brownstone, people are lining up like the generic nannies in Mary Poppins to talk to her about it.
Meanwhile, in a sub-sub-plot, Theresa's daughter, Gia, does poorly at an audition for a feature film. Her agent tells her that, among other things, she needs to lose the Jersey accent. Gia does poorly at that as well.
Kim confronts Danielle about her entourage calling Chris a faggot (allegedly). Danielle, a "gay advocate" uses the defense, "he wasn't calling a gay man a faggot!"
At Danielle's birthday party, her friends try to tell her not to freak out and Danielle, Queen of Reason, responds by freaking out. In the name of children with cancer, Dina decides to be the hundredth person in line to confront Danielle.
In lieu of confrontation, Jacqueline's daughter Ashley has set up "hate pages" on Facebook against Danielle,...

Anybody else left with a foul taste in their mouths after last night’s episode? I wanted to laugh at Danielle and her cold cut platter of bodyguards, led by the twitchy and ridiculous Danny. I wanted to laugh at somber Albert, rubbing his fingertips together like a wedding hall Godfather in his Brownstone office. But then there was Emanuela’s mother, a weary-looking ordinary woman hoping to raise some money for her sick baby’s medical bills, and all I really wanted to do was whack a tray on Danielle’s head and write a big check to St.

Welcome back friends! I’m a little hyper from sleep deprivation having stayed up all night watching the UK election coverage – more on that later. For now I’m keeping myself upbeat by bopping along to the new track from Scissor Sisters. Have you heard it? It’s ridiculous – in a good way. It features booming poetic vocals from Sir Ian McKellen. Yes, Gandalf goes disco-trance!
Lead singer Jake Shears and Sir Ian often party together, so Jake asked the veteran gay actor to contribute to new track “Invisible Light.” They actually took a bunch of recording equipment to McKellen’s dressing room when he was performing in the brilliant West End production of Waiting for Godot.
It looks as though the flamboyant pop group have their edge back, after a rather tame second album. They make quite a statement with their album cover – the taught buttocks of ballet dancer...

Always up to something, Kim Kardashian recently squeezed her famous curves into a new line of workout gear for a sexy ad shoot.
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" beauty showed off the new Vata Sports collection from Bravada International/Muscle Flex after becoming a partner in the company.
Of the effort, Kim said: "Just because you're working out doesn't mean you can't look good and feel great."
The collection is designed by Danny Alex, creator of new Us reality TV show 'The Complete Package' - which sees thousands of women of all shapes and sizes competing for a $100,000 prize and is described as "merging Victoria's Secret style and attitude with 'The Apprentice' business savvy.'"...

Got a scoop request? An anonymous tip you're dying to share? Just want to say hi? You can send any/all of the above to ausielloscoop@ew.com Question: Any more True Blood season 3 casting news? —Richard Ausiello: Yes! Alan Ball confirms that he's currently casting the role of Talbot, "trophy husband" to Denis O'Hare's same-gender-lovin' King of Mississippi. Question: I know I've been bombarding you with Heather Locklear questions lately, and I promise to stop after this one: How long will she be staying on Melrose Place? —Sam Ausiello: There's no such thing as too many Heather Locklear questions when it concerns her imminent return to the Place called M. I hear she's on board for at least seven episodes. Question: I just finished watching the first three seasons of Dexter and I can't wait until the season 4 premiere. If you have a scoop, that would be awesome.
